The rooms are tired, could do with some refurbishment and although they were cleaned daily felt old and a bit grubby. But what makes this place stand out is the staff. Every interaction i had, from checking in, booking an excursion to sitting and relaxing at the pool bar, every member of staff was friendly, personable and wanted to do anything to make you welcome. I wouldn’t rush to come back to the rooms, but for the staff i would 1000% come back

Sandyport Beach Resort was the perfect place for me and my teen daughter. We wanted a low key resort where we were treated well but didn’t have to fight crowds. We had the lagoon beach practically to ourselves, it was amazing. We loved Da Conch Shack which was perfect for afternoon drinks or snacks by the pool. Alex, Bass, Miss Knowles and others treated us great there! The front desk helped whenever needed. As a small resort there weren’t many restaurants on site but within five minutes, there was a beautiful bar with live music and amazing cocktails, there were a few great family/casual instruments, at a convenience store around the corner, where we could get pretty much anything we needed. There wasn’t as much shopping as I would’ve hoped for, but then again we didn’t venture too far from the resort. Oh and the prices were so reasonable! If you don’t need huge waterslides and fanfare do yourself a favor, stay in a peaceful gorgeous place and just relax.

So.. I absolutely LOVED the property. It was a quaint quiet luxury. The staff was absolutely AMAZING- super friendly, attentive- customer service was 10 stars!! The proximity to the ocean was amazing! The food was also really good. I was ready to give this place 5 stars upon arriving home EXCEPT .. our room had bed bugs. We went downtown on our 2nd day there and thought we were bit by fleas in the market as I woke up with bites on my ankles. Then the next day.. I had bites on my thighs.. and thought something is wrong. I asked the lady at the front desk about there being bed bugs as I’ve never really experienced this - she said there was none. The next day it was time to go home - the bites were full fledged- up my legs, on my arms. I counted 14 bites on one leg. This property is truly a hidden gem but until this is handled - I would not stay here again or recommend this hotel. It’s definitely disappointing because outside of this - I would stay here 5 more times BUT this is truly a dealbreaker and a major inconvenience.
