ITC Hotel

Inaccurate description on the website, communal bathroom and shower with entire hotel, no elevator with steep stairs.

Decent for price, had to stay in there sister hotel across the canal called the townhouse though for some reason, but price was good, shared toilet was clean constantly. About 20 minute walk to red light area, but it was just somewhere to sleep would stay again.

WiFi unusable - literally. No heater in room - freezing. Room in different building than advertised - charm in ad completely missing. Lobby coffee (instant!) @ $2.50 each - seriously? Non-free gas station coffee in a hotel lobby? What a disappointing stay.

So after reading reviews of the hotel off the Expedia App (after we had booked) I was somewhat panicked due to all the bad reviews about drain flys... Bed bugs.. Shared bathrooms... Dirty rooms and unhelpful staff. I can say I was pleasantly surprised. We stayed in the Townhouse part of the hotel over the road. Lovely view of the canal from our room. Yes it was small but ample enough for the 3 of us. We had out own bathroom. All lovely and clean. The room was up 2 flights of stairs which are very steep and shallow making it part of the experience. Although if you ha e any mobility issues then this isn't the place for you. I can honestly say we experienced no issues and had a lovely stay here. Great location and pleasant stay. Flos Deli literally around the corner is fantastic for breakfast. Lovely coffee and breakfast bagel. If you are driving to Amsterdam it's handy to note that parking on the street it 7 euros an hour and the hotel can provide discounted parking at a local Q car park around a 15 minute walk from the hotel. This is still 37 euros per 24 hours.

Liked the property is in the city. Bathroom sort of tight, small sink. Walk up stairs; No elevators. Don’t change daily bedsheets. Smell very disturbing and unfortable smoke from windows. No A/C and therefore need windows open.

It worked for two nights. We booked to stay in the ITC but were sent to the Townhouse, which was not what was in the pics or the hotel I booked. The stairs were steep and small (I\'m about 5\'9"). The room was just enough for a bed. There were three in our party and we made it work. I think I would book again since it was just to sleep and shower. But the price could be a little cheaper.

I didn't realize when I booked that there were no lifts and no air conditioning. Those were the only downsides, and I may have missed that info when I selected it. great location, very good value, and comfortable bed and decent size bathroom for an old building.

Small rooms and difficultly in getting bags thru narrow stairway to top floors.

We booked the ITC for a trip in October, on arrival at hotel we were moved to another property. Room was basic, area was good though. Walkable to central if you don’t mind a bit of a walk. Tram is right outside

Overall a good stay! It was a capable walk with my luggage off of the train from the airport. Wonderful area with many restaurants, shops, market, cafe etc. All of the staff at the front desk were wonderful. I went at all different hours and everyone helped and answered my questions graciously. I stayed in Townhouse 816 and it was clean and comfortable. My only misunderstanding was not knowing there was different properties. So I had to carry my bags again across the street. Luckily I was only on the 1st floor so I didn’t have to carry my bags far but there is no elevator and the stairs are narrow so I felt bad for whomever was on the top floor. I also didn’t know the bathroom and shower were on separate floors. Not bad just different but you get used to it. Overall a good stay and would stay again.

The room especially the shower room was filthy. It seemed that it is not being cleaned thoroughly after every stay. Aside from that there was a foul smell coming out of the drain. The price is cheap but the cleanliness should not be compromised. I will not book in the said hotel again.

Good location accessibility but room is not clean. Previous guest garbage are left behind and dirt and left over trash under the bed. Area is so noisy, you have to open your windows to have air and you will hear screaming outside from neighbouring restaurants. Building needs fixing.

Our room was in extremely poor condition — it was located in the basement, dirty, and had bugs crawling around. We decided to check out a day early. While we informed the staff, their only response was that they “found no bugs” when they checked the room (likely because we had already killed them). Despite these issues, they refused to refund us for the night we didn’t stay..

La habitación estaba con un olor insoportable a insecticida. El baño compartido no se aseaba todos los días. Nuestra habitacion tenia una ventana. La cusl daba a un andamio por donde paseaban constructores.

The staff were very helpful and the rooms were clean. It was good value for money given the location closed to public transport and walkability into the centre.

I’ve stayed at the ITC Hotel before. This time I was given a room in the Townhouse property. I have never experienced such levels of noise. The walls, floors and ceilings are so thin that it sounded like folks were in my room when having a normal conversation in their room. And as folks climb the steep stairs, it sounds like a troop marching up. I also had challenges with the level of servicing of the room. You have to request that your room be cleaned. The first time, the sheets weren’t changed. The second time they failed to leave bath towels in the room. It was a long 8 night stay. I won’t return to this property. While the price is attractive, I’ll spend a bit more for peaceful nights’ sleep and better service.

We booked a double bedroom at ITC hotel but they sent us to a different building close by. The room was modern but without windows, just a skylight and small ceiling window in the batroom. A bit claustrophobic and really poor or insuficient ventilation. We asked if it was possible to change the room but unfortunately it was not possible.

Location is great. Considering this is the cheapest hotel in Amsterdam center you get what you pay for. Room was clean but small, bathroom almost unusable and whole building is purely isolated with the consequence you could hear all other guests, while day (and night) long. If you budget is tight - this is a nice and cheap place. Want any form for comfort and space - look somewhere else.

Location is great - close to tram stops and walking distance to many places. But heater is not working great - room felt really cold. Room size is also smaller than what it looked like in the photo

The room was clean and tidy with a lovely although compact shower room. The shower was fine the toilet very close to glass partition. The sink very small which made filling kettle very difficult. The room had a small window and no view only of internal roofs. This isn't told to you in the original advert for a single room. So please note single rooms have no view. My fly screen was broken which ment the room was plagued with mosquittos that bit me during the night. Free tea but no coffee provided tea was available from the main reception, paper cups not the best to drink hot drinks out of. Nice area in Amstal regeion with close bars shops supermarket and canal.

Good location to city, Hotel a little run down, but reflected in price. Due to rowdy guests and no sound proofing, was very noisy through to early hours of the morning

The lack of heat in the room made it a little uncomfortable to sleep in. Outside of that, it was cool.

It was just ok, Wasn’t informed that it was a basement room at booking or I wouldn’t of booked to be honest Very small window in room where no sunlight came into but had a window directly across from it with a light constantly shining in and you couldn’t cover the window and very bad lighting in the room also rubbish bins were not changed in room during stay. The room was very noisy also you could hear every movement so no peaceful sleep was had Wasn’t worth the money paid which was very disappointing

We had a great experience at this hotel! The staff was amazing, they also arranged us the taxi to go to the airport! Definitely will go back!

Wasn't the part of the hotel I booked , TV didn't work and let staff know on 1st day this wasn't rectified or sorted , wasn't made aware of on going construction works , would have booked else where

I could not have expected more for this highly affordable lodging in a safe & central location. I booked a double/twin share room so I could share with my niece who lives in Den Haag and, ahead of flying home. All staff were highly couteous & extremely helpful. Very happy & grateful.

the photos look nice, but are certainly not of the room I had, which was across the road in the ‘Townhouse Hotel’. Tired, tatty, and not particularly comfortable, with a rather gruff welcome. Particularly enjoyed the shout up the 3 flights of steep steps (not very friendly to anyone not happy on ladders) of ‘DID YOU FIND THE ROOM?!’ at 10pm when I arrived. Sorry to everyone in the other rooms…! Looks cheap for the area - it’s for a reason.

The staff was nice, specially the guy from Nepal was very nice and humble. Price was alright as well.

Excellent location: located in floating house area, easy to walk around, lots of great resturants and cafes around, tram is right inront of the property, excellent access to RAI, and the airport. the hotel itsel is the typical old building, the reception is nothing special, neither the coridors to the room. but considering what we paid for, i'm so happy with the stay and highly recomend the place. the rooms are clean and fresh. (no essentials, no kettle, no ridge etc included as this is a budget hotel!)

The front desk staff was really nice, friendly, and helpful. Thank you, you were amazing. The room was kept very clean, the house cleaners came everyday. Clean sheets and towels. The building is kind of old so it has a smell but that is understandable. Carpets are very stained and old but that really didn’t bother us, but just for you to know what to expect. The internet was slow and on our last evening there was no internet at all. The location was excellent, the tram was only steps away, the bars on the corner have good food. But Fridays it gets very busy and very loud until close to 4:00a.m. This hotel property said that it is smoke free, but the tourists in the other rooms were smoking a lot of weed that you could smell it inside your room and hallways. We were very unhappy with that. But overall everything was good.

L'hotel in se' e' pulito, ottima la posizione. Aspetti negativi: 1) no dentifricio in bagno (se arriverete tardi non potrete lavarvi i denti prima di andare a dormire) 2) nessun caffe' disponibile ne' in camera, ne' nella lobby. Caffe' a pagamento 2 euro, pessimo 3) stanza piccolissima, neanche lo spazio per aprire la valigia. Se non fosse stato per la posizione centrale e molto vicina a tutto, avrei valutato il servizio scadente. Diciamo che per 140 euro a notte non sarebbero falliti offrendo un campione di dentifricio e un caffe'

Boutigue nice hotel convince to public transportation good for backpacker the reception hour is 7am to 12:00 pm if you need something at night from the vending machine like water or some beer. You ‘re out of luck! No refriferator.
