while the appearance of the lobby and front area were great, the pool needs major update and maintenance, tiles missing, water cloudy. The lack of water pressure in the rooms was very disappointing, difficult to take a shower. Being advertised as one of the best, I did expect more of the facility The food was very good,

Avoid this hotel at all cost, employees are not honest, I lost a pair of Hermes Oran Solash limited edition sandals in my room!! Worth over a thousand dollars, I reported to the front desk to check lost and found and “nobody” reported them, of course they didn’t… I read other reviews of people claiming they lost very expensive things from their rooms, and they don’t have a safe!! So if you care for your items AVOID THIS HOTEL

Nos salió una cucaracha, las toallas estaban. sucias. La cuna que nos llevaron tenía unas sábanas sucias manchadas. Pagamos directamente en el hotel para que nos hicieran upgrade y su upgrade fue agregarnos un refrigerador miniatura mal puesto. Con todo y que trajimos carreola con bebé , nos dieron el cuarto más lejos y en un segundo piso sin elevador. El desayuno está incluido y tienes que pedir los boletos en el lobby si no no te hacen válido el desayuno. El hotel está en construcción y con mucho polvo. No me volvería a quedar ahí nunca ni por la mitad de lo que pagué.

The property is a mix of old and new - with old fashioned doors and authentic tile as well as comfortable modern beds. I very much liked the ambiance of it. I would have appreciated having a refrigerator in the room.

I expected a a nicer room it was a sic room and on small little bar of soap to wash your hands. The toilet handle did not work you had to take the lid off and pull the chain and make sure you did this every time otherwise the water would continue to run and the tank would not fill up. The hallway was very noisy, I can hear the people rolling their suitcases very early like 3,4, 5 in the morning. I talked to the front desk lady and told her about the broken toilet and all she said is to film out a survey and note it on the remarks! Really? I told her this should be taken care now and not wait for when they read the survey! Will not stay there again. For the price we paid it is a basic hotel anc can stay at another hotel with the same service for Les than half the price.

Great hotel to stay in Durango. Restaurants had great cuisine and we had 3 meals there. The rooms on the level ground were basic and felt dark and in needs of some renovations. No decorations on walls made the rooms look very sad without charter. Deep cleaning of rooms can also be improved. Location was great for parking and proximity to the historic part of town.

It would have been excellent had they not had a DJ blearing loud music in the courtyard until late at night. Also even though I booked through the App Hotels.com denied to give reward points. I took some beautiful pictures of the Hotel but this review page doesn't work to upload them. The new Hotels.com 1 🌟

El Gobernador is a very classic beautiful hotel. Everything about it was impecable. The rooms, the beautiful green garden, the staff service and the breakfast restaurant along with the evening dining restaurant . Our waiters Carlos, Uriel and Alexis were fantastic ! They made us feel very welcomed everyday during our stay and they went out of their way to make us feel very special and treated us exceptionally well. I highly recommend you stay , it’s a must!! We are already planning our next visit.

MY guests room was near construction and he had a very hard time sleeping. We also asked the front desk for a recommendation for a restaurant within walking distance and at a reasonable price. We were provided with a restaurant not within walking distance, we drove to it and it was one of the most expensive steak houses in Durango. That same person checked us in and check in was very slow. I like you hotel having stayed there before but to be served like that is making me reconsider staying at your hotel in the future

The hotel is pretty and the outdoor spaces are well maintained. The rooms are clean and modern, and the staff are friendly. They make everything convenient and work hard to make your stay perfect. The only downside may be the rincón de analco restaurant on property. The interior is really nice but the food isn’t very good, at least for breakfast. The hotel itself is really good.

The hotel looked like it was built from an old warehouse but updated greatly. Beautiful huge chandeliers made from wood and iron. Lots of tile, two restaurants, one was also a bar. Excellent food both.

I love the hotel’s Durango hacienda style with all the accommodations of modern hotels. The restaurants are top of the line and delicious. I prefer this hotel over all other hotels in Durango and I recommend it all the time.
