Absolutely blown away that Expedia would even send customers to this rundown motel. Notice in the pictures they don’t actually really show you what the building looks like. We could not even stay the night the room was in such disrepair. Nothing like the pictures. The pool is only a little bigger than the hot tub and the hot tub doesn’t even work. They also refused to refund us our money. If you rent a room, make sure you buy the Expedia insurance.

Hot tub was hot and clean. No one here so that’s nice. Front desk staff were super helpful and accommodating. It’s an old hotel so don’t expect something it’s not. They opened the pool and hot tub for us this am early bc I had an apppointmnet. Overall good $60/night stay!

The hot tub was not usable, they blocked it off with chairs. It was closed for 15 days because someone kept peeing in it and they didn’t drain it. For the cost of the hotel for this night the pool is a huge standard of that. The hotel is run down, and the room smelt like incense. The name isn’t even correct on the sign so finding the area was hard. It’s just a tiny thing in the sign. Overall very disappointing and would never recommend coming back there.

I booked this because it had a hot tub and pool. The hot tub was shut down though when we arrived and prob has been for awhile. A notice on their site would have been nice. The place is old and worn down and dirty and you can hear a lot forn neighbouring rooms. Sketchy area too.

Everything was disgusting. Room was filthy and literally everything in the room was broken. From the door to the shower curtain rod ripped out of the wall to the bathroom sink. I have never stayed in a room in such a state of disrepair and filth. Do not book here unless you have no other options.

Horrible stay… disgusting smell as soon as you enter the room which looks nothing like the photos advertised. The carpet is wet all over the room, garbage from the previous guests, hairs all over the bed sheets and the bathroom clearly wasn’t cleaned. Not to mention the moldy ceilings and ac that didn’t work. We didn’t get a wink of sleep, do yourself a favour and get a different hotel.

Great location to walk to McMahon stadium and LRT. Also was a really good price. Our door wouldn’t lock so we propped it closed with a luggage rack. The toilet constantly needed use to adjust float to stop running and no tv service. But then we didn’t go to Calgary to watch TV. I still would stay there again because I did get a good nights sleep bin a clean room.

Stayed here before and didn’t want to go back. They changed the name on the listing so I didn’t realize it was the same place until it was too late. Never again. Was so disgusting and smelly, shared access to our balcony with no security for the doors, open access at all hours, noisy and broken door in bathroom. Smelled like smoke in a no smoking room, floors were grimy, walls were so thin we could hear conversations on the deck. Not good.

Absolute worst service I have ever received, and by far the dirtiest rooms!! Front desk staff was extremely rude and out right lied to us multiple times! Rooms are disgustingly dirty, unkept, and moldy and stunk like smoke! One of our rooms even had soft spots in the floors and holes in the walls. The walls has drip marks all over, possibly a cleaner that was never wiped...?? We asked for another room but then felt it would be the same, the sheets were clean and we were tired so we stayed. We asked for extra towels as they only had 2 towels in a room for 4 people, 1 facecloth and 1 hand towel. He brought 3 "pool" towels and they also stunk like smoke! We asked for extra pillows as the ones in the room were VERY flat and no fluff to them, he said he could not provide any extra pillows!! The check in took over 1/2 hour and only left us with 15 minutes, but then noticed the hot tub was closed anyways! I would NOT recommend this place to anyone, and will for sure NEVER stay here again!!

I have been waiting for about 2hrs to open the door they gave me 4or5 card to open the door but all of them faulty and then I feel unsecured.the logo name is in small hard to find because it covered by an other big logo which is Ramada.the staff is not respecting customer and not cooperative. I couldn’t get freedom to go out for dinner with my family because when he opened me the door he warned me that he will not open the door for me again.He don’t care about me.

staff here are terrible, they do not like complaints. The key cards need to be programmed daily, the rooms stink, they do not give enough towels or toiletries, when you ask for towels they say you have to wait till the afternoon then go pick them up yourself. We had NO HOT WATER for 24 hours. I said this hotel was not up to standards the night front staff stated it's cheap and that the day front seat guy was the manager but when I complained to him he said he wasn't the manager. I asked for info and they gave me an email address. I went to use my key to get it and even after being reset it still did not work, BOTH KEYS, I went back to get him and he said "you have no idea what your doing!" And telling me not to yell and basically calling me an idiot (I have stayed in many hotels/motels ets in the last year) when we got to the door he wanted to take the key and show me but at this point I wanted to prove that I knew what I was doing and used the key..... Nothing, then he did it and for whatever reason it worked (we soon found out that on the 2nd try it works when your not frustrated) he then proceeded to tell me that if I break the lock it will be at my expense I said that the motel was not in good condition and that they should refund me for not keeping to the standards they are to provide, he then laughed and told me to leave I was now mad and yelled I would if I could, he then said he was calling the cops..... The front desk was so hard to understand and hardly understood English too. The place was filthy and dirty and very unorganized. When we got to our room, it was worst. Towels looked and smell like they were used already and just folded. The blanket smells. We were so tired and like I said it's so hard to communicate with the front desk so just save our energy and did not argue or complain anymore. The Metro Inn sign was so small and you will not even see it in the dark but they have still have this Ramada sign that's huge and lighted that will make you confused if its your 1st time there like us. We will never ever go back here and will never recommend this to anyone. Staying here is a big mistake!

I strongly advise against staying at the Metro Inn in Calgary. My experience here was terrible. My friend and I were on vacation and only used the room for sleeping at night and early in the morning. However, the door to our room constantly malfunctioned and wouldn’t open properly. Each time we reported the issue, the staff were dismissive and offered little to no assistance. Frustrated, we decided to leave two days before our reservation was up. The entire place also reeked of weed, despite the no-smoking policy. You’re better off spending an extra $100 or $200 to stay somewhere more reliable and comfortable. This place is not worth the hassle. And disposed money was not returned and when I called them they answered but no one talked.
