Hotel is currently undergoing renovations on the main floor( possibly more ). A note on the elevator door stated that it was due to a mattress fire. I was on the 7th floor. My room looked clean over all but there was long hair in the shower that was hanging from a rail attached to the wall. The hotel is in a downtown location, So I heard fire trucks and emergency crews often during the evening and early morning.

The fact that the hotel is charging full price for rooms and not disclosing that the hotel is very much under construction is incomprehensible. We were on the 6th floor and there was no working elevator, and there was even construction right next to the breakfast area.

Was in a busy area. The city view from the window is a parking lot, the parking is tight and the place was under renovation. In the morning you can hear the planes flying directly overhead even though we were 20 mins from airport the flight path is directly over.Due to renovations, the water was brown when first ran but cleared up after a few minutes. The positives from this place are the rooms were spacious and nice and the breakfast was good. Also parking is free unlike others that charge $20. Be advised that there is no pool but an exercise room only.

There is a lack of information and communication between someone because I would have booked a room here because there was a fire at this hotel 3 weeks ago so there was no elevators and people were walking up eight floors in a stairwell that was super small. Not to mention the room we were sleeping in the mattress was absolutely horrible. I do not leave reviews very often, but I couldn’t let this slide. People should be aware of what is going on with the place they are planning on staying at.

They are only booking the 4,5,6 floors and the elevator was down the entire time. Had to carry everything up 6 flights of stairs each time we got back. It was awful!

Stayed two nights with my family. Upon registering, the front desk staff told us the elevator is not working as there was a Fire and Water damage a few days ago. They told us to use the stairs to 9th floor as no rooms available on lower floor.

My only complaint is when i booked on Expedia and paid full price there was no mention that their elevator was out of service. When I arrived in checked in. I was notified that Our room was on the 7th floor and only accessible by using stairs, and they had no other rooms available on any lower floors. They did provide staff to carry luggage to and from our room at least. At check out, was told the reason the elevator was down was due to a room fire a few weeks ago which also closed a few of the lower floors for fire/water repair.

The staff were amazing!! Always friendly and helpful. Cannot fault them at all - thank you to all of the staff. Management - please buy new bedding!!! All of the sheets and covers had MULTIPLE holes in them (both beds), carpets were sticky and stained (maybe a good clean?!?), paper plates and plastic cutlery for breakfast buffet - not acceptable, breakfast every single morning (with the exception of Labour Day morning as it was a different staff member) was cold!!! Every single morning for 6 days all the “hot” food was cold cause the covers were left up ALL the time by the cook. The key cards didn’t work in the locks (had to replace once and never worked first go - laundry was minimum 5 goes every time). Apart from the staff (who were amazing), DO NOT recommend staying here. Very outdated, needs upgrading and a good “spring clean”.

The room was clean but the shower curtain was stinky. The service was good. They let us check in a bit early when the room was ready. The elevator was very small and cramped. I forgot my phone charger in the room and unfortunately they don’t have any service to send it back to me… apparently I would have to set up a courier and arrange everything for myself. I thought this was a bit subpar. I don’t think I would stay at this hotel again.

We were put in a room that had not been finished. It smelled of paint, had an open electrical box in the room, and the staff needed to come in to do some work right when we arrived. The room numbers were not even in the hallway yet. To boot, the hallway was dusty with demolition dust and had exposed cinder blocks. The elevator smelled of smoke and body odor. The breakfast was fine and the attendant was very pleasant

The nicest staff you would ever meet. From the front desk staff to the breakfast staff to the housekeepers, they were always extremely helpful and friendly. The king bed we slept in was so comfortable that we didn't want to get up. Highly recommend this hotel.

All in all, this is an average Holiday Inn. Rooms are dated, balcony door seemed flimsy. Noise from the street was quite loud in the room. It’s an easy walk to downtown, some cafes are around the corner. Staff was friendly and helpful, especially the breakfast attendant. There really shouldn’t be any single use plastic for breakfast, there should be more sustainable options.

First staff member upon check in seemed like he was having a bad day and wouldnt help in any way when there was an issue. He got off shift and a second employee came to assist. 2nd gentleman was super kind and understanding and accommodated me given the situation and was able to help and was very understanding and got me into me room with a solution instead of repeated excuses and rudeness.

In my 7 years of working in hospitality I don’t think I’ve ever seen people so unwilling to offer help or resolution to a problem, it all started on the reception where they profoundly REFUSED to accept anything else but a physical credit card, since I’m from Europe I don’t use a credit card but I had one in my Apple Pay and they refused to take that too, I finally solved with a card that is not strictly debit and they agreed to accept it after like 10 minutes of an argument where the front desk lady only repeated that it’s their policy and was very unwilling to provide any other solution. It would all somehow fine if we didn’t come to our room that smelt by cigarettes right after opening the door, they sent a cleaning lady that came to our room to persuade us that there is no cigarette smell even though she must have smelled it and even ended suggesting if we didn’t do that and told us to really not smoke because they charge big fee (none of us are smokers and we really hate the cigarette smell)

Well located, very close to the tram stop, this is a great place to stay. The hotel is close to places to eat and shop. The staff are very friendly and helpful and actually upgraded my room to a suite. The suite was very comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was included in the rate which was more affordable than other hotels.

Although it is conveniently located to downtown, the rooms are just average. When we arrived, our bathroom sink was totally clogged...something the housekeeping staff should have noticed when cleaning the room. There is a park 1 block away that attracts a lot of homeless. We walked by it to downtown without an incident, but I would not walk there at night alone. Otherwise, breakfast was good and staff was very friendly.

Q The reception staff were very friendly, the hotel was clean, the only drawback was the lack of variety at breakfast and the food wasn't served at the right temperature, and on the last day my room wasn't cleaned.I had to go to reception to ask for a towel because the cleaning lady seemed to have forgotten to clean our room properly, as we weren't leaving until the next day.
