Expedia add shows a big inside pool while when we asked about pool they said after renovation we do not have a pool facilities and it was Expedia's miss advertising WIFi was very poor it disconected several time aday in general i will never use this Hotel and will not trust to Expedi's offers

The Calgary Downtown Marriott is directly connected to the TELUS Convention Centre and is the official hotel for the OTAFEST anime convention that I attended this year. Breakfast in ONE18 Empire lounge was TOP NOTCH; I strongly recommend the "Big Canadian Breakfast". The hotel is also across the street from Calgary Tower and more importantly the Airport Express Bus #300 makes regular stops right near the Tower...it is a special fare but if you download the Calgary Transit app you can prepay it using Apple Pay, then just activate the fare as you step on the bus. It takes about 45 minutes to get to YYC and is very convenient. No stress, no worrying about cab fare, etc. You can take the Bus#300 inbound too of course, or if you want to ride the C-train take Bus#100 to McKnight Station and get off at the City Hall WB stop...the hotel is only a few blocks of easy walking away and you get a grand view of Calgary Tower the whole way. The hotel is just a block away from the famous and attractive Stephen Avenue pedestrian zone that stretches for several blocks with multiple shops, restaurants and bars. The beautiful Calgary Public Library central branch is a few blocks easy walking distance as well, as is Studio Bell, the interactive music museum. It is a great location for your stay in Calgary.

I was quite impressed with the Calgary Marriot Downtown Hotel. Getting to the hotel was quite easy. I used the valet parking, this was very convenient. Once in the hotel the staff at the reception desk were fantastic. They were very helpful when we needed extra blankets and a microwave. The service was spot on. We requested an extra blanket and a microwave at the reception, by the time we got to our room both items were there. There is a Milstones restaurant on site as well as a Starbucks. The hotel is located right on the walking path with all the shops and restaurants. This is very convenient for going out for dinner and taking in the sites. The only negative I had with this hotel was the rooftop patio that is advertised on line is not open to regular hotel customers. The patio is only for special functions and weddings. I picked this hotel because it had this beautiful rooftop patio but was not able to use it when we got there. It wasn't too disappointing as there were other restaurants and patios in walking distance. All in all, I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The staff was super accommodating! Valet service was very fast and all the workers we ran into were friendly. The bar attached to the hotel was great, great service, friendly bartenders. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice modern hotel close to lots of restaurants and things to see. The staff is friendly and courteous. I was also happy that the fitness room had a variety of equipment, much better than other places I've been. I would stay here again.

We came to this hotel 3 years ago in which we enjoyed time in the pool. This trip we were shocked that the pool has since closed and doesn’t seem to be reopening which is disappointing.

I booked for 2 nights and checked out the morning of the first night. Bed was hard, street noise from the 14th floor was loud. I had a shower in the morning and the water went from a nice temperature to scalding hit to freezing cold, amd took way too long to stabilize again. When I tilted my head back to wash my hair I noticed mildew on the ceiling of the shower. When I turned to rinse my face, I noticed blood and pubic hair on the celiling. Thoroughly grossed out, I got out of the shower at that point and while toweling off, I noticed the front of the bathroom counter hadn't been wiped in some time. I could have dealt with the hard bed and street noise but the shower tipped me. I checked out at that point, and didn't stay the second night.. I took pictures and made management aware and requested a refund, which was declined. Although I was offered to change rooms, I was grossed out enough that I just wanted to leave. I will *never* stay at another Marriott again, and I *will* be telling others.

The stay was great, definitely recommend. The cleaniness of our room was good, however; the shower does need to be deep cleaned as there was the build up/orange/green coloured mold. It’s a quick fix but definitely something that needs to be done. Also, I was charged $13.00 for a Pepsi bottle so don’t go to the grab & go section if you really have too. Otherwise, there’s a restaurant inside with breakfast options and even a Starbucks! Close to the Calgary Tower so there’s definitely a lot of foot traffic but nice to see. Will come again.

The hotel is getting old. Elevators don't function as supposed to and windows are not tight. We needed to change rooms as the noise from the outside kept us from sleeping!

Can't beat this location. Very walkable. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room is spacious and modern. Bed very comfortable. Noce to have a Starbucks in the lobby and Milestones is adjacent to the hotel. We would definitely stay here again. Good value.

There was 24 hour non-stop construction noise all around the hotel, which was very loud from the room. Neither the hotel or hotels.com warned about the construction. We only booked the room as a stop over to get some sleep before our next flight the following day. Neither of us slept at all. Do not stay here. Reception did not care about our disruptive sleep as they had already been paid. Expecting a full refund.

Heater/fan was so loud i couldnt hear myself. So hot in there too. They even provided earplugs in the room. That's how bad it was. I'll probably get some hearing problems after this stay.

Upon arrival first thing they said they couldn’t valet my truck. Whole reason I booked and called ahead was to make sure I could and they agreed. Then they figured it out. Upon checking in they begin to tell me they didn’t have a room for me. Wow. After a short argument as I have already paid for my room they gave me a room. Horrible experience. I held them at higher class then the way they handled rhat. Bad bad service

The hotel was situated right in front of Calgary Tower and was walkable to most city attractions. They didn’t have their own parking but there was a cheap parkade right in front of the hotel. Overall, we had a great stay!

Very convenient and central location within walking distance to most amenities. The rooms were clean and staff friendly. Room cost is in line with similar hotels in the area. There is room to improve the parking / valet cost and perhaps a refresh to the rooms. Overall we enjoyed the stay.

The hotel was good but the restaurant One 18 Empire was not good. I had to get my own menus and had to ask for coffee and apple juice for my husband as one of the servers was rushing by. I had the eggs benedict and asked for hard poached eggs and got over hard ones instead. Not very impressed!!! As soon as I added a little milk to my coffee it was barely warm and way stronger than I like it. I'm glad I got a lattee at Starbucks earlier. The server did take 8.60 off our bill because of the eggs benedict. I won't be in a hurry to return to that restaurant any time soon

Great service and check in. Great location. Tiny complaint- my hand lotion in the washroom was virtually empty upon arrival and on the phone the “at your service “ Button takes you to the central number not the local hotel so really hard to get service. I went down to the lobby to get the help I needed. The One 18 bar /restaurant served the best burger and fries ever!

Excessive deposit at check in when the room was pre-paid. Construction outside not the fault of the hotel but would have appreciated them notifying us of the limitations getting in to the valet. Lovely dinner at One18 restaurant onsite. Sad no pool there.
