Loved the location, lots of great restaurants and bars and is walking distance to BMO where we needed to go for a kids sport tournament. Outdoor pool is a plus!

Stayed 1 night

Overall, we had a great stay and enjoyed the hotel, but there were some areas that could be improved. We understand the property is older and the rooms reflect that, but given the price point, I expected a more luxurious experience. Some room updates and better maintenance would go a long way in making the hotel feel more in line with its pricing. The cost of food and drinks also felt quite high for the overall experience. The pool was another disappointment. It is very small and can become extremely crowded during the day with both hotel guests and drop-in visitors. We were glad we went at night when it was much quieter, giving us room to swim, relax, and enjoy drinks and snacks. It was also sad to see the Yellow Door Bistro closing. The food was great, but unfortunately the service and attention to detail were lacking, especially on its final day. Service was slow, our coffee had coffee grounds in it, some cutlery wasn't clean, and there were dead bugs on the tables with flies buzzing around. For a restaurant's last day and our final opportunity to experience it, there was a surprising lack of care. I hope the new space is utilized better and becomes a real highlight of the hotel. The property's artsy atmosphere has a lot of potential, and a well-designed new space could really complement that. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but I hope future renovations focus on upgrading the rooms, improving service, & creating a more luxurious experience that better matches the price.
