The front desk clerk was very nice and our room was clean and comfortable. They had a crib in our room when we arrived which was much appreciated since we arrived later in the evening. The breakfast was very good as well. The only downside was that the pool was pretty cold. However it did have a small kiddie pool which is apparently harder to find then you would think for a decent price. If it weren't for the pool being cold this would be 5 stars.

All of the staff we dealt with were absolutely lovely. Breakfast was delicious and had a ton of options. There was a regular pool, kiddie pool, and hot tub which was great for taking our little guy swimming!

Jacuzzi tub jets were broken, parking in front limited, noisy patrons, gossiping housekeeping (hey I work in it too, I get it lol), gym was not 24 hours as stated on website. Really not a great experience for the cost. Disappointed.

The housekeeping staff keep this hotel immaculate…breakfast was varied and good. We came from another hotel chain in Edmonton and everyone in our party agreed that the Best Western Plus in Calgary was by far the better and cleaner of the two. The hotel is right on McLeod Trail….we had a car so we’re able to get around easily. This is the second Best Western Plus I’ve stayed in and have been impressed with both….wish I would have remembered that when I was booking our trip. Overall our experience was great…special thanks to the concierge for the hassle free check in/check out (and the extra keys). :)

Freundlicher Empfang. Das Zimmer war groß. Bettwäsche und Handtücher waren sauber. Betten bequem. Frühstück war reichlich. Die Innenstadt ist zu Fuß in 15 Minuten zu erreichen. Leider waren die Becken im Schwimmbad am Rand stark verschmutzt.

Our room smelled very stale and old. Like a living dust bunny or old smokers room where they replaced everything but the carpet which still smelled. The front reception gave us a room on the first floor, starting with 100 but as we walked the first floor there was no room number that matched the room. So I asked the front desk worker where it was and he acted like it inconvenienced him to say it was on a lower level. If he would have just said that when he gave us the room key, it would have saved us both time.

Got there on Friday night. Noticed the room smelt heavily of smoke. Told the night manager about it and all he did was come to the room, smell it and say “yup it does”. We spent all weekend in a room that smelt like smoke and no one did anything.

Our room facing the road was extremely noisy. Our little girls couldn’t sleep well. Also the room above us you could hear every step of the person walking. When they turned their jacuzzi tub on at 10pm it woke our girls up as well. A noisy hotel.

Despite having the sign outside our door for the entirety of our stay, our room was never cleaned by the hotel staff. The property is also old and musty, with brown unappealing colouring and old rooms with limited wall outlets for device charging. Stayed one night with my husband to celebrate our 15th anniversary. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were friendly. The hotel was easy to find and conveniently located near everything. For those unfamiliar with Calgary, heading the other direction on MacLeod after leaving can seem tricky, but you can use the dealership’s parking lot next door to access the other side. Parking in front is limited, but there’s plenty around the back. Our room was spacious and lovely, with a king bed, sofa bed, good lighting, and the main highlight, a jacuzzi. It was clean overall, with only small imperfections like the bathroom counter pulling slightly from the wall. The bed was high but very comfortable, and the pillows were excellent. The duvet was warm but a little heavy for me. The jacuzzi was large, deep, and relaxing, with room for two. It was a bit awkward to get in and out of for someone short, and a quick guide for the controls would help. A few towels near the tub would also be nice. The shower was easy to step into, the toilet height was great, and the water pressure was decent. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of variety including yogurt, fruit, waffles, oatmeal, muffins, bagels, eggs, and sausage. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily stay again.

Stay was good. Rooms are dark, there was only one USB charging port. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices and staff kept up with demand and they were friendly. The breakfast room area was stifling HOT everyone sitting there was complaining how hot it was in there.

The hotel is the nicest best western I’ve stayed it. The rooms are extremely clean, are modern and the beds are comfy. Dan at the front desk was extremely accommodating and kind. The other front desk guy was also accommodating when we needed an early check in and the house keeping staff is attentive. Extremely happy with our decision to spend 2 nights here. Pretty close- close enough to drive or uber- to downtown. And felt like a safe spot being next to a Toyota dealership.

Front desk Philippino woman wasn’t friendly upon check in, however, later during the stay she warmed up to us. Not sure what she was thinking but showing unfriendly unkind attitude on her face isn’t the best way to make guests feel welcomed at the hotel. Hope this review will help her in her job as part of the front desk group, welcoming guests during check-ins.

The gentleman (Dan I believe) at the front desk was extremely helpful and pleasant with everything we asked or needed. We were able to walk into the downtown (but too hot to walk back and we took transit). Would be so convenient if going to the stampede grounds. Transit only 2 blocks away to get to and from downtown Calgary.

We selected the Best Western for its location to the Calgary Stampede. And it was perfect for that as it was a short walk to the park. We also took an uber downtown and back to tour downtown one evening. It was very affordable. We would stay here again if attending the Stampede.

It was close to downtown and included breakfast and parking. The area around the property is somewhat industrial. If you are looking for scenic this is not the place. If you are looking for good value close to downtown this is a good choice. The breakfast was decent.

The Good: Close to public transit LRT, within walking distance of several breweries, although is a bit of a hike for some and several larger chain stores, property is clean, has good staff and good amenities and breakfast selection. The Bad: The Bathroom is a bit small in the room, and egg disks instead of proper eggs at the continental breakfast but both are minor complaints barely worth mentioning. McLeod trail is basically a highway and not the most walk-able and the side streets nearby don't quite connect the way you'd expect them to. The Ugly: The ugliest thing on this trip were the performance of my visiting sports teams. This is a solid place to stay in Calgary, especially if you got a rental car.

The breakfast was described as a “deluxe hot breakfast” which it was not. The eggs and protein option did not look appetizing, the creamer option for coffee was minimal and the peanut butter was a brand I’ve never heard off. There was only bananas offered as a fruit option. Not much for healthy eating.

Usually my go to place to stay when in Calgary. It’s convenient for what we choose to do, easy to get to and easy parking. Rooms are always clean and comfortable. Breakfast is amazing every single time, they other such a great variety of foods and offer almond milk as dairy free alternative.
