Pool was not open despite the website stating pool was open from June through October. Vending machines did not use phone apps, debit or credit cards or bills and there was no change available at the front desk. Carpet and furnishings were very dated.

We only stayed one night. There is no elevator to the 2nd floor so if you have to bring up luggage it is two flights of stairs. Not enough towels in rooms for 4 people even when our booking did state that. Room was old but clean. Wifi very slow only 2 of us to go on at one time. Breakfast was ok. Area is a bit sketchy The keg is next door to eat dinner

First I would like to say that the lady at the front desk was always helpful when needed. She did her best. The rooms are very dated and the bathroom was dated and in need of a reno. The carpets in the room were lifting so they need some attention. We required extra towels and when we went down to the front desk she only had one and said we could get some more in the morning from the housekeeper. She took down our room number so she could let them know. That was fine however we didn't see the housekeeper before leaving for the day. We put out the "clean our room" sign when we left for the day. Our beds were made, no extra towels left and garbage's were not emptied. We had a one year old with us so...... garbage's had dirty diapers in them. I ended up taking the garbage out when we returned. Also they have a outdoor pool which my grandson was excited about but unfortunately is wasn't open yet ? there was water in it, its June and the weather was sunny and 24 degrees?? Didn't say it was a maintenance issue just wasn't open yet. Disappointing for sure.

Great location close to the Chinook mall with nearby restaurants and C-train. Decent price but the motel is somewhat dated and could have used a deep clean. Hair drier in our room kept tripping the breaker and wouldn't work properly. The pool was closed while we were there for 2 nights due to an inspection.

I spefically booked at the Travelodge because of being able to enjoy the pool and the pool wasn't working!!! This was my one and only vacation I'll have for a long time and this was extremely disappointing. I feel I should have been notified regarding this so I didn't pack all those things for pool and sunbathing. I found the room very dark making reading difficult and the TV has very limited channels. Higher watt bulbs should be considered.

There is no elevator. For elderly women traveling alone, an outside or bottom floor room is considered unsafe. We were a bit surprised there was no elevator but choose the 2nd floor for safety reasons. Hauling luggage up the stairs (with a previous knee replacement) isn’t especially easy. But, the staff was apologetic, friendly, & helpful.

Room was poorly cleaned. Long black hair on bathroom floor and in tub. Dental floss in a corner. Accumulated grunge in the corners of the bathroom floor. The fan protruded from the ceiling, having not been installed flush with ceiling. The windows and screens throughout the property were filthy with accumulated dust, fingerprints and spots. In the main hallway, I noticed what appeared to be desiccated animal (dog?) feces in front of one door. When I mentioned it to the front desk clerk the response was "I am alone." The bed was comfortable. The price was reasonable. The breakfast was okay, but there was nobody to clean the countertops and empty the garbage regularly. Maybe too short-staffed. We\'ve stayed in many Travelodges and found them comfortable and well kept, but I cannot recommend this one at all.

Tub was awful and toilet had brown water in it. When we arrived I flushed it and there was a layer of brown yuckiness that had lifted off the bottom and flushed away. Tub had a couple hairs in it and looked like it had seen better days. Hair on floor as well. Two brown chunks on wall beside bed that looked like someone sneezed. Beside light switches were dirty finger prints. Cleanliness was not good!

The first room had rubbish on the floor, the fridge had large build up on ice in the freezer, the AC filter needed to be changed (red light on the unit), the chair was stained. I went down to change rooms, front desk guy was nice but stressed (he was the only guy there with a line out the door). Second room had hair on the floor, the fridge was rusty, the toilet had brown down the front (I have pictures), white residue on the desk. I will not return.

We had a very dirty room. Bedding was changed and dog hair on the floor and nothing looked clean. I changed the sheets and the top blankets should be washed. They let dog s stay- so maybe they should learn to clean up the dog hair, I’m allergic to dogs/cats as well as scared of them. We heard barking and that was too much for me. My eyes and throat were sore all the while staying there. They try to hid the dog Oder by spraying a very strong smelling cent that wasn’t pleasant. My sinuses were plugged the full 4 days. Very short on towels. The shampoo was used and left, the Kleenex box was empty- Microwave dirty inside. I won’t stay at that the TravelLodge south in Calgary that’s for sure!!!

Bathroom was dirty and mold in the corners of the room. Water came out of tap brownish color first time turned tap on. Beverage machine broken or empty for two days. Very icy at the entrance with no salt or sand applied. I would not stay here again

Hell of 2 nights, literally. Too hot. Room temp was 29C upon arrival. Was told to open windows. I also cranked up the AC, since I wanted to sleep. Half way through the night it was back up at 28ish C. I sent a text reply to their welcome text asking if they had tooth paste, but never got a reply. Old carpets looked disgusting on the hallway and room. The only good thing was the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet, but I still couldn't sleep due to the excessive heat and dryness (outside temperature was -11C, not like I could keep the windows open overnight). I woke up w/ a nose bleed and itchy skin. You would think after the 1st night they would have fixed the HVAC, since apparently the whole floor had the issue, but no. Looks like they got used to going by with the issue the way it is. I'm never staying there again.

The rooms were clean and desk staff were awesome. However, the door and walls offers almost no sound proofing at all. If people walk down the hall, you hear almost every footstep. If they whisper, you hear every word. I'm not sure Travelodge can do anything about that, but it was a pain when trying to sleep through the night and people kept running, talking loudly and sometimes I awoke to what I was certain was someone finding a nightwalker for some "out of town fun."

This property needs a complete renovation of higher standard. No AC in the common areas, and the AC in the rooms was noisy and barely kept up. You can hear everything in this hotel, and I MEAN EVERYTHING.

Absolutely horrendous experience staying here. Our room was next to the second-floor stairs door which has broken hydraulics on it, so it slammed every time someone came in and out. People were coming in and out till at least midnight, and starting to come in and out as early as 4:30am. We barely slept after being jolted awake every 30 minutes with people coming and going. After bringing this to the attention of the manager that a simple fix of the hydraulics or adding padding - they seemed indifferent about the situation, so I dont expect them to fix this. Stay away from this hotel ESPECIALLY the rooms near the stairs if you require a full nights sleep and the sound resembling a shotgun would wake you up.

One of the worst check-in I have ever experienced. I got a link from a text for an “easy check-in” where I basically filled out a form regarding check in and had my credit card number inputted. This was supposed to speed up check-in by doing all the paper works online and just taking the room keys upon arrival. This basically did the opposite. The front desk said that there is no deposit held on my account yet, and I had to show her my bank statement and the paperwork I filled out prior to arriving at the hotel. The front desk even had to call the hotel manager through phone to double check that they have a deposit held under my account. And she handed me more paper works (that I already have filled out through the “easy check-in link” and had me sign two receipts which was the fee for the hotel and the deposit they apparently “could not find under my account” upon checking in. It took about 20 minutes to check-in which I find absurd. And some guests were also there complaining about bed bugs which photos and videos for proof and they said they could not give them a refund. Just poor customer service and poor quality of accommodation in general.

Staff at the front desk rudely denied us taking our breakfast (a couple of crappy bagels) to our room, told us we had to eat in the lounge (where there was no seating available). We then proceeded to watch 3 separate people walk by the front desk with their breakfasts and they didn’t say a word.

We arrived and were shocked right away. The staff were extremely rude and unprofessional. The hallways were dirty and smelled bad. When we got to our room, it was even worse – the bed was filthy, the room was nothing like the pictures online, and everything felt very poorly managed. This was honestly the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Management is weak and clearly doesn’t care about guests. I would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

Every time we check in to this hotel, the same front desk clerk is on her cell phone and continues to talk while we check in. We don't know if she is talking to us or her caller. Very annoying as its hard to ask her any questions while on phone. check in takes awhile.

It was clean Won’t ever book here ever again..Had a family issue n tried to cancel four days before trip .They wouldn’t refund my payment they would cancel room yea but no refund .l had booed a three night stay so it wasn’t just a small amount .l didn’t need this extra stress or more on my plate .They had no compassion it’s their policy .l would understand if it was last minute but four days before trip that is wrong on so many levels.l sent my son n prayed the family situation didn’t become a family emergency while he was gone.

Pros: The property is a 10 minute walk to the Chinook mall and other shopping. The hotel is surrounded by a good choice of restaurants. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and updated. My room was on the main level with a door to the parking lot. Cons: no fault of the hotel but during the short walk to the mall, there were homeless people doing drugs on the sidewalk.

I chose this hotel for it's location as it was close to Chinook Center and reasonably close to the LRT station to get to the Saddledome. The complimentary breakfast was fairly basic, but fine - yogurt, cereal, toast & bagels, and a waffle machine. Nothing hot though. The hotel is a little old and doesn't have much in the way of amenities as the pool is outside so not useable a good portion of the year.

The hotel is outdated and can use some pretty-ing up. Rooms were fine but shortage of power sockets. The breakfast area needs attention. I was grateful for what was offered but always had to go ask at front desk to provide more coffee, need more syrup for waffles, need more batter for waffles… etc.. there were 5 tables that could seat 4 each (20 people) but only 12 chairs. Saw many people standing to eat or taking it to their room. No one monitored it and saw people having to clear and wipe their own tables….. do better please!

Staff was not polite or welcoming, the hotel was dated and poorly maintained, there were no safety bars on the windows on the ground floor and the window opened all the way, it would take about 5 seconds to gain entry to any room an the main floor. The free breakfast was a joke, hard boiled eggs dry toast and cereal. Beds were old and noisy. I will never visit this hotel again!

Booked online for 2 queens, checked in room had 1 queen and hide a bed would have been ok just myself and 2 kids took me 35min to get inferior hide a bed open as it was busted and terrible breakfast consisted of cereal and a waffle machine the breakfast area was tiny no where to sit just crabbed coffee and left

Affordable and the area are very accessible and close to the mall and restaurants. What i don’t like everyday same breakfast the you will offer nothing new on my eyes and on my taste buds just saying tnx
