Parking lot is a little too small but otherwise it’s a decent place

Pool was being used for swimming lessons so there was 5 instructors and 4 students were in there until 8 pm The hot tub was closed when we checked in and took a few hours to get up to temp. Heard a staff member tell a guest that wasn’t happy with the pool situation to shut up when he requested a refund and stated he would stay somewhere else.

Clean, not fancy, comfy beds, small entranceway into room. Can hear hallway noise. Staff kept pool area clean and tested PH. Great free breakfast. Some gym equipment (all you need). Close to shopping & restaurants. Decent value, convenient location.

Cons: Atlantic and pacific suites are on the top floor. There is NO elevator available at all. If you travel with a lot of luggage, be prepared for a couple of trips up a few flights of stairs. The suites also have an additional outside The hotel does have laundry, however, only 2 sets of washer/dryers were available (1 washer was broken). This hotel filled up every night we were there, so I was only able to grab a free washer/dryer once during our week long stay. Pros: the suite was surprisingly big. The website was unclear if the kitchen had a stove/full fridge, but the Atlantic suite had both. The bathroom is lovely, with a big clean tub/sink. The bedroom had a second tv, with a set of dresser drawers. Big closet by the front door with ironing board. 3 seat table in the kitchen. Theres also an option to rent a second bedroom attached to the suite for an additional minimal cost. The hotel staff are lovely. The pool is a nice size, but can get busy in the eveings. The breakfast is great as well. Busy times are usually between 8 and 9. Usual fare. Waffles/eggs/sausage/coffee/tea/juice/pastry/breads/bagels.

Location is great, lots of restaurant options nearby. Breakfast was okay, pool is nice, hottub was hot, but jets didnt have much pressure behind them. Overall, it was good

the water in the hot tub was not hot tub temperature and the jets did not work/ are plugged. Staff all friendly and assisting . Thanks

Was not happy with my stay checked out after first night and was still charged for the 2 nights I didn’t stay parking was an issue room not clean and area not safe. Hot tub jets weren’t working breakfast only served until 9am won’t ever book there again!!

Excellent value, comfortable beds. Pool and hot tub great for kids.

Room was clean, there is no elevator so staff needed to bring up my luggage up the stairs. Parking was tight.

The pool and hot tub were really clean. The carpets in the hall needed a good cleaning as it made the hotel feel really dirty despite it being quite clean. The rooms were really nice and newly renovated though some of the fixtures in the bathroom were not meant for the humidity of the bathroom so had some rust. I stayed in a room with a kitchenette and it was great! The appliances worked really well and I loved how the faucet had an extendable hose. The beds were comfy and the storage was plenty. The breakfast was basic but nice with a beautiful eating space. I loved the sausage, eggs, and variety of breads. I would recommend staying.

Hallways were smelly and dirty, room smelled of chemicals overall, it was OK, but given the price and condition, we won’t be staying there anytime soon.

Overall was a good stay for a very good price. The floors were actually so clean, i spilled a little bit of juice and the wipe i used on the floor had no staining other than the juice, kudos to the cleaning staff!

You get what you pay for! Cheap and convenient. The rooms and cleanliness leave something to be desired though. I've stayed twice and one room looked quite nice however upon closer inspection i found small remnants of feces on the wall and floor, which would explain the numerous flies in the room. There were also dirty boot prints on one wall. The second room was real dumpy. The metal fixtures in the bathroom were very rusted, and the shower curtain looked like it was about to fall apart. The entire place just gives "unclean". But its fine for a night or two!

I woke up to bed bugs crawling across my shirt. It was the worst experience ever. We had to throw out both of our suitcases, buy all new clothing for my entire family so we didn’t infest our car and eventually our house. We needed to spend $75 dollars at the laundry mat to sterilize all of the clothes that were in the room. All in, that dirty hotel room cost us $147 for the night + 4 $450 for new luggage + $150 for new Walmart clothes+ $75 for laundry. Total $822 dollars. But the manager was nice enough to refund the cost of the room bring the total to $675. That doesn’t include the therapy I’m going to need to get past the nightmares of bed bugs crawling.

Rooms where clean, staff friendly, conveniently close to the Rocky Eye Clinic. Nice breakfast too.

Sink in room was not draining, room smelt of cigarette smoke, hallway carpets on ground floor dirty.

Dirty, mold on bathroom ceiling, etc.

The room was clean, the hallways filthy. Breakfast was Typical continental, sausage awful eggs terrible.

Hotel rooms are ok but TV’s are outdated, Bathrooms must need renovations. Rugs needs to be replace. Pool need some renovation.

I was freezing 80% of the time because the air conditioner wasn’t working. They gave me a space heater I used. Otherwise, dated but clean enough. Had to switch out of my first room because of the constant sound of water. They moved my room immediately and gave me the heater right away.

Don't expect Marriott-level hotel and you will be happy. The rooms were very small and dated (need updating); the bed was sagging; fridge froze our water; no elevator; Large Super8 sign was not lit (very hard to find at night); and they charged us an additional $25 for being an hour early - even though the room was available. A disappointment for Wyndum Hotels.

The staff were nice. Rooms are very outdated. Toilet moved around, washroom was tight to get into. The problem with the hotel, and the reason I will not stay there again, is that it is so noisy. I could hear everything…. People Nextdoor going to the washroom, full conversations of folks Nextdoor and in the hallway. Flushing of toilets, showers running, TV noise. It was brutal.

room 121 is ok, but if your comingin for summer time or weather is a bit warm, you will want the AC running, this unit has somewhat really old unit, same for the heater if it even exist or work as the heater are those that installed around the baseboards and around the unit, you cannot sleep while the AC is on as its really loud, i ended up openingthe window just to let outside air cool the room latein the eveningbso i can actually sleep

The room was clean amd the staff were awesome but the area was very noisy and the room was not sound proof. We disnt get much rest because of the outside noise coming from outside and the rooms above us

The rooms are small, our toilet didn’t flush, there were multiple insect traps tucked in corners and the curtains were moth eaten, however, the staff were excellent and the beds were comfortable and clean.

After calling the front desk and asking about needing a credit card to check in, I was told no you don’t need one. I asked 4 times and then as my husband was trying to check in he was refused and they wouldn’t help us to find a solution to do the room/damage deposit. They refused to let him stay and was kicked out!

Extremely rude check in staff. The lobby is filthy and the point of sale device wouldn’t work. I wasn’t able to check in. The night manager “ Ritansh” was extremely unhelpful and rude. I am submitting a complaint directly to Super 8 absolutely hated my experience at this sub rate MOTEL. It’s not even a hotel.

Pros: Affordable Convenient location Pool, hot tub, and small gym Front desk staff mostly very nice. Breakfast is not bad. Cons: Terrible parking lot. Walls are paper thin and guests seem to think it\'s okay to blast music at all hours of the evening. I could even hear every word of of my neighbours\' quiet conversations. Heating system and water system made it sound like it was raining all day every day. The pipes were always gushing water and it was insanely loud. The event that freaked me out was that I discovered a watch on the floor of my room after returning to the motel after being at work all day. I do not wear watches so this belonged to a staff member who had a key to my room. I had left the DND sign on the door because I didn\'t need anything tidied as housekeeping was in the day before. Some staff member ignored the DND sign and went into my room - nothing was tidied/replenished so I actually have no idea why they entered my room in the first place and what they even did in there. I felt extremely unsafe after this event and decided to check out a day early. The manager "decided not to charge me for late cancellation" as if they were doing me a favour. The front desk staff said the manager would check the CCTV and figure out what happened, but they have yet to contact me. If staff are going into rooms where they are not requested, who knows what they are getting up to when you\'re not there. I am not impressed and do not recommend this motel.

The staff and management were fantastic! We had a minir issue with someone parking in our space...but as soon as i brought it to their attention...the staff and management dealt with it right away. Also had one of the nicer pools and fitness gyms ive seen in a hotel. A pleasant surprise!

I had to listen to a dog barking all night. I couldn’t sleep. Not the dog’s fault. I tried sleeping in. Check out is 11, yet I had someone from housekeeping enter at 9 when I was naked, sleeping. Huge violation of privacy.

Booked a room for my husband's worker to do a job down in Calgary (we are in Edmonton). They wouldn't let him check in because he did not have a credit card for the deposit even though the room was already paid for & non-refundable. The hotel would not let my husband give his credit card over the phone even though it was the same card that paid for the room. Two angry calls later and it got figured out but the deposit got higher.. pretty disappointing experience overall. I appreciate that they dont let people check in under false pretenses but it everything is confirmed then I have no idea why they cant take the deposit remotely. Not everyone has a credit card!

Within walking distance to lots of different types of restaurants and Chinook Center mall. The only negative thing was that even though we turned the heat way down it was still super hot in the room, We travel to Calgary for business and will definitely stay there again.

Bad neighborhood and lots of unhoused

An OK price for an OK place. A few homeless people around. Our room was right at the Outdoor Smoking Area so that was unpleasant coming and going from our room. The room was clean and staff was friendly.

The staff were pleasant and welcoming. First impression on the area, I felt unsafe because I witnessed a guy making excessive noise when trying to accelerate his car within the premises. Also, the property needs an upgrade.

It is arguably, not in the “best part of town” - not unsafe but certainly not a vibrant, buzzing area with immediate things to do. It’s a perfect place to stay as a home base for day trips to the more touristy aspects of Calgary.

The breakfast was the same every morning. Fake eggs and greyish sausages.

So noisy in hallways, could hear everything. The tv and remote didn’t work had to call down for assistance no one came had to go down again and get someone. The breakfast was awful!!!! Several ppl had to ask for stuff to be replenished. The juice machine was squirting juice.

Great service, hot tub was a great size. The beds were good, one was softer than the other and that was perfect. The continental breakfast was excellent and the seating area was large and comfortable.

Breakfast ends 9am way too early. Seems everyone in the hotel needed to rush up there between 8:30 and 9:00 so very long wait for breakfast and things ran out without getting refilled. It should be offered until 10 or 11. Very sketchy people hanging out in the parking lot and behind surrounding building so a lot of garbage everywhere. Room has obviously not been updated in a very long time so felt dark and dirty. Thin walls, heard everyone in the hallway.

The breakfast was undesirable, not sure the eggs were even eggs...sure they can do better.

The room was spotless and kept clean each day of our 3 day stay. Hot tub and pool area were tidy and chemically kept up. Continental breakfast was plenty and varied. Staff were friendly and helpful and most accommodating.
