Overall, great stay. Hotel was under construction but no noise or issues. Bed was comfortable, room was modern and clean. One thing - the Parkade needs a large sign that notes you need a key to enter. Multiple members of our party drove down the ramp to have to back out before we had gotten our keys as it was the winter so obviously preferred to park underground.

The secured underground parking is excellent, the breakfast buffet was decent. The front fascade is under going a renovation that effects the pool area, still open but notvthe bright sunny area if the glass panels were installed. Staff was very helpful and prompt to questions and knowledgable.

It was a friendly welcome and easy checkin. Underground parking was free. Room was clean and warm and comfortable. Didn't have breakfast but past experience is that it is "OK". This is our second stay: good location and price. Will stay again - hope the pool is open next time.

Unfortunately the exterior was under construction. The pool and waterslide were closed. The gym is sadly lacking. While our suite appeared newer, the carpeting in the hall needs replacing. The one working elevator was noisy and we feared it would break down everytime we used it. The 2nd elevator was out of order for our entire week long stay. The breakfast buffet was fine, with typical fare. The location was fine.

Inside was great. Staff was great. Outside of building and area is undergoing major renovations and looks terrible. Parking lot is super small and hard to tell which hotel is even the one I was staying at. Again great staff room was nice and clean. Did the job for a quick night stay

We were able to check in early which was delightful because my 93 year old mom was tired. The staff was great and the morning breakfast amazing. However, the great disappointment was the laundry soap used to wash the linen. The smell was overwhelming making it hard to sleep. The quilts especially. For people who are sensitive to scents, it would be a difficult stay.

Property under construction which made the pool area boarded up and tarped. Hot tub was cold. Rooms were terrifying. We actually didn’t stay one night…checked out immediately. The lady at the front desk however was wonderful, so that’s the only reason this hotel gets a any sort of a review.

We had 2 queen and our comforter stunk bad and the other bed the sheets were stained. Carpet not cleaned, carpet in hallway on 2nd floor was pieced together and lumpy someone is going to get hurt. If we had known pool waz shut down and even though we could use the next door hotwls pool its winter with a 4 year old!!! I would not have booked here. Beds also very uncomfortable.staff very friendly and kind

Friendly, genuine helpful staff. Clean room. Convenient underground parking. Housekeeping staff maintained the room very well during our five day stay. Very convenient location. Breakfast staff very pleasant and attentive. Really enjoyed the vegan banana muffins-tasted homemade!

The location is easy to get to. It is also easy to get to Banff and Canmore from here. Loved the underground parking. There are a variety of restaurants within walking. The kitchen suite was nice to have with a living room and its own TV. The king sized bed was comfy and had its own TV too. Charging outlets were throughout the suite. The bathroom was very clean and had lots of lighting. We noticed there was plenty of storage through out the unit. The breakfast had a lot of variety and was very tasty. The staff was constantly checking to make sure the hot items were replenished and other ones filled up. We loved the all day coffee station. The exercise room had several options there.

Clean and comfortable room, but the hotel soundproofing is terrible. I had a difficult time getting to sleep because of a crying child in the room on one side and then awakened in the early hours by a loudly snoring guest on the other side. I will be reluctant to rebook in this hotel if there are other available options in the area.

Rooms were spacious, the kitchen suite was very useful for our family. The hotel is going through renovation so the main entrance had absolute zero lighting at night. Very dangerous for anyone with accessibility issues or for women who are coming into the hotel by themselves. Brought it up to management so hopefully they have remedied this.

I was in Calgary for business. I informed the front desk that i required late checkout due to a business meeting downtown. My meeting went later than anticipated and i arrived back at the hotel @ 2 PM. I was informed that I would be billed for a second night due to the late checkout. The cleaning staff was still on my floor cleaning rooms. I find this lack of professional courtesy to be very poor. I am very disappointed with Hampton Inn and do not plan to support the brand in the future..

Will not be booking for business here again. I booked a room here for a client to stay. I prepaid with a credit card. I have booked rooms for clients at countless hotels and have always been able pre-authorized my business credit card for damage deposits. This hotel refused to accept pre-authorization over phone or online. My client did not have a credit card (hence why I prepaid everything). They would not accept my clients debit card either. The reception staff were not at all understanding of the situation and refused to talk to me over the phone so I could help my client. I had to drive to the hotel to give them my card information in person. The two people at check in were extremely rude and not helpful at all. I will never book a client here again and I would highly suggest never booking here for any sort of business or conference.

You will not find a better staff anywhere!! They are all very friendly and happy to help you in any way! We stayed for an extended period and each day they all made you feel so very welcome! The hotel is undergoing some upgrades but overall we would be happy to stay here again!!

My experience at Hampton Inn & Suites NW Calgary was the worst I’ve had in all my travels. I had a confirmed “Pay at Property” reservation via Expedia. But on arrival, Jamie at the front desk told me it was canceled due to a “payment issue.” No one contacted me—no call, no email. My credit card is in good standing, and I was never told why the charge was attempted in advance, let alone why it failed. When I asked to honor my original rate, Jamie refused and told me to rebook at a higher price. He rudely said, “It’s not my problem—deal with Expedia.” When I requested a manager, he said they were at home and unreachable. Things escalated quickly—he became aggressive and told my family and me to leave or he'd call the police. My child was terrified. We were stranded in a new city, treated not just with indifference but hostility. Later, I found reviews reporting similar behavior from Jamie—clearly, this isn’t an isolated incident. This experience has severely damaged my trust in Hilton. We’ll never return and urge other travelers to avoid this location. As for Expedia, they offered no meaningful support beyond suggesting I rebook at the higher rate. No accountability from either party.

Our stay was enjoyable, and the breakfast was excellent. The hotel also offers convenient underground parking. The hotel’s location is ideal, as it is situated directly on Highway 1, which conveniently connects you to Banff within an hour and a half. Hotel is going under renovation with no pool access and appearance.

I stayed here while I was attending a course in downtown Calgary due to the much lower rates at this property compared to downtown hotels. It was very clean, newer and with easy access to the LRT subway with a station only one block away. Comes with included underground parking and breakfast as well. I would stay here again!

Loved staying here. Easy access to the C train to attend a show at the Jubilee. Quiet, clean room, underground parking, and a good breakfast! Looking forward to what it is like after the exterior renovations and further development around the property.

Staff was welcoming and nice. Boris and Sandra answered questions promptly. Room was clean. Good air conditioning and heat. Appreciated the underground parking. Very family oriented, most guests who stayed here were families. Hotel under renovations, that should be mentioned during booking. The pool was very crowded and not the cleanest, but the slide was good. The breakfast area is too small for the amount of guests staying here, not enough sitting space during breakfast and a big line up.

Always enjoy my stay at Hampton Inn. Bed and pillows are a little uncomfortable and need to be replaced. Breakfast is included but is not great. Not much choice. Would prefer more fresh fruit, and selection of pastries. Perhaps a better continental breakfast rather than the sausage and eggs which don't appear appealing at all. Customer service is always impeccable.
