Really enjoyed staying at the Hyatt It was close to shopping and dining options The room were very quiet Liked the checkout time at noon! The spa that was in the building was the perfect setting for luxury pampering. The only issue we had was the swimming pool was quite murky

The stay was ok. The club access was ok. Our room door did not lock properly. I think the most disappointing thing is to spend that kind of money on a hotel room and not being able to park our vehicle at the hotel. I have never had this happen at a hotel. We heard there was a convention there and I feel the hotel rented the spots to the people that were not staying at the hotel and that is terrible to make your guests drive to a private parking facility and walk back and same after checking out. Shame on you. For this reason I will never book here again. I will stick with the Palliser.

Great location and enjoyed the underground parking. Didn’t see valet parking when we arrived at 3pm so opted for self park. Front desk staff wasn’t welcoming. Felt more of an inconvenience rather than a welcomed guest at the hotel. Pool was murky and cloudy. Wasn’t what I would’ve expected for a Hyatt but hot tub and sauna was nice. Gym has everything you need for a great workout minus the treadmills. They have seen better days. Time to replace the running belt. We stayed only one night on a Saturday and they had an outdoor bar across the street (Bleu club) playing music till wee hours in the morning. Bed was comparable to sleep in but the pillows were quite hard. When checking out, Candace was at the front desk and didn’t once ask how our stay was. Thought that was unusual for front desk. Overall, I wouldn’t stay there again. Would go back to the Westin or Eau Claire Sheraton.

Pool on the 18th floor was cool. Wish it was bigger and deeper, but no real complaints on it. Very clean and organized place, staff were lovely and will stay again in future.

There was no parking. Parked was full. Had to walk to find another parkade to park in and it was expensive. There should be automatic spots reserved for people staying in the hotel if needed. Otherwise great.

Nice place downtown. Close to many restaurants. Very walkable. Self parking is $35/day. We enjoyed the use of the pool and gym as well. I would have just liked a robe and slippers in the room.

Nice stay. Room was good except a good cleaning would help. There was alot of dust (check the kleenex box that is black in the washroom....it was fuzzy with all the dust). The room needs a good vaccuuming....I should have asked to be moved really but that is on me. Over all the stay was good.

The Hyatt Downtown location was excellent. Room was great. Bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was excellent with a great walk in shower. The only issue was the room seemed a little dirty. It did not feel as clean as it should. You could see dust in the corners and it felt like the rug was not vacuumed in a while. Jusr a minro issue. Overall room was very good.

Honestly I was shocked when I checked into my room. It was filthy, there was hair in the sinks, the carpet was dirty with left over rice grains and food on the floors of the front entrance, bathroom and bedroom areas. It clearly was not cleaned prior to my occupancy I did complain and was given the option to switch rooms opted however to have them clean it which was done quickly. I was tired from my travels and did it want to be bothered to wait for reassignment of another room to occur! I had to get IT to resolve my internet connectivity issue. Then in the middle of me presenting on a project the internet went down for 30 mins! Unbelievable that this could occur at Hyatt. I had to quickly go down to the lobby but they could not assist! They did provide a make up offer of access to Regency Club. This club is nothing like what is on offer at the Marriott for example. Very basic in my opinion. Disappointed at best by my stay five day stay!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Stay was overall OK, but below the standards of Hyatt Hotels we have stayed at in other countries. Some wear and tear noticeable - such as the loose connection ports under the TV. Carpet in the room should be replaced, or thoroughly steam cleaned, strong odor in the room. WIFI in room only limited to 2 devices, which would make business travel to the hotel challenging if 2 people are sharing a room. 2 cell phones plus 2 laptops are 4 devices and if customers are forced to turn on and off one device to access WIFI on the other device, quite inefficient and cumbersome service from a top brand hotel. We paid $108 for breakfast in the room for 2 people, and it was satisfactory at best, didn't provide butter and jam so had to call down for it. Had issues with the parking pass not working at first, and also at check out when trying to leave the garage. Pool and hot tub was nice. Comparable to a stay at a hotel at half the cost.

Hotel WiFi was terrible & almost unuseable an important & frustrating issue. Club offer was just average & wouldn't reccommend, asked to have beakfast in the main restaurant on the second morning but was told we could only use the club or pay full price in the restaurant. Room, bed & staff were all good. Very good food & service at Modern Steak...joined to the complex. The streets nearby have some good shopping above ground but at street level its seedy & feels unsafe. Lots of drug addicts & homeless. Smoking of crack pipes in clear view of passers-by's is common. Not an area we would visit again.

Check in is terrible, they do not smile and you don’t feel welcome. It’s not busy but they are very slow to check us in. Lots of rules in this hotel and i am glad it is just my first time to book in this hotel. Check out is great & easy. The property is clean.

The room was terrific but that’s where it stopped. On arrival we were told we could go to Thompson Restaurant within the building, we got ready and went down to find out there was a private function. The morning of checkout, we went to get a coffee in the attached coffee shop but it was closed till 10:40am, it was 11:11 that we were there and it was still closed. Nav at the front desk told us we could get coffee at the bar, we went to the bar, there was a sign “ wait here to be seated”, we waited 5 minutes while the waitress Lillian just looked at us, I called out and she finally came over, she had no idea what we were asking for. The service at this establishment has plummeted majorly. I would not return due to the lack of “Hospitality” by the front desk and cafe servers. The only person to display warmth hospitality was a young lady who spoke to us about Australia.

We chose Hyatt because it offers room service and a spa. Tried to use our room phone to order room service. Our phone didn't work. Called the main desk using our cell. The agent said they could take our order and it would be up to our room within 30-45min. I specifically asked about timing because we had a massage scheduled in 90min. Food still hadn't arrived after 55 min. Called front desk again and they said they would figure out where it was. We called again 10 min later and they called the kitchen and found out it was just getting ready to leave. Our food arrived after 1 hr 15 min. We had to leave 5 min later to check in for our massage. Turns out the person who was supposed to send our order to the kitchen didn't do so in a timely manner. Spoke to manager and had to fight to get some sort of reasonable compensation. He said the kitchen didn't get the order until 20 min before it was delivered so kitchen manager wouldn't refund us. If room phone had worked and we could have spoken to the kitchen ourselves, this wouldn't have happened. Super iritating to pay $80 for breakfast that we had to eat in 5 min. More could have been done to properly resolve the issue. We will go back to staying at a different hotel.

Great location and enjoyed the underground parking. Didn’t see valet parking when we arrived at 3pm so opted for self park. Front desk staff wasn’t welcoming. Felt more of an inconvenience rather than a welcomed guest at the hotel. Pool was murky and cloudy. Wasn’t what I would’ve expected for a Hyatt but hot tub and sauna was nice. Gym has everything you need for a great workout minus the treadmills. They have seen better days. Time to replace the running belt. We stayed only one night on a Saturday and they had an outdoor bar across the street (Bleu club) playing music till wee hours in the morning. Bed was comparable to sleep in but the pillows were quite hard. When checking out, Candace was at the front desk and didn’t once ask how our stay was. Thought that was unusual for front desk. Overall, I wouldn’t stay there again. Would go back to the Westin or Eau Claire Sheraton.

Horrible staff and service. Didn't show up to park our cars and then were upset when we left our cars up front. Waited for 25 minutes for them to show up to get our bags.... they never showed up so we gave up and took our own bags down the elevators. Generally disengaged and useless staff. Pool area is small and only really accomodates 5 or 6 people max before it's over crowded. Generally crappy experience. WOuld not stay there ever again.

Convenient location. Lot of dining options close by. The rainfall shower and heated floors in the bathroom were very nice. Good and bad is that it’s right beside C-train station. Easy access but lots of homeless lingering around first thing in the morning on a quiet Sunday. We were quite disappointed the Hotel parkade was full. Especially since the weather wasn’t very nice out. We had to park at an adjacent parkade.

I had to clean the toilet seat with wipe as there was a stool residue on the seat. The following day, I found a dirt on a clean white towel. The location is on a main street and very noisy. I feel unsafe to walk around at night.

Overall, good sightseeing locations nearby with many amenities in the clean rooms. However, due to road work in front of Hyatt Regency Calgary, it’s confusing for friends who do not frequent the hotel to know how to drive into the entrance. A rooftop bar opposite the hotel broadcasts loud music. Fortunately, music ends early at night.

Convenient location! Able to walk to all of the sights around downtown very easily from the hotel. Stephen’s Street is a half a block away, and the. Calgary Tower is less than two blocks away. We had a great time in Calgary!

Good location but poor service from hotel requested high floor room and got allocated a room on 4th floor out of 21 floors. Booked bed and breakfast prepaid then told on arrival had a price cap for the breakfast so ended up rationed

It was a wonderful staycation after a busy Christmas season. The Thompson bar was lovely. Then a restful evening and sleep. The following morning a swim and hot tub in the spa area. Which was clean. I appreciated the lockers in change room. Had a delicious breakfast at the Thomson restaurant.

Be aware that when you order room service from the “app” there is an auto 18% service fee applied after you pay and are prompted to tip. I ended up tipping 38%. No where does it inform you about the auto grat until after you’ve already tipped & paid. This felt sneaky and it was a huge turn off for the establishment.

This is an excellent hotel and a great location for visiting the Calgary Stampede and in general located close to many dining options. Breakfast was excellent and all the staff were very welcoming and did their utmost to make the stay as good as possible. Would return to this hotel the next time in Calgary,

Hotel WiFi was terrible & almost unuseable an important & frustrating issue. Club offer was just average & wouldn't reccommend, asked to have beakfast in the main restaurant on the second morning but was told we could only use the club or pay full price in the restaurant. Room, bed & staff were all good. Very good food & service at Modern Steak...joined to the complex. The streets nearby have some good shopping above ground but at street level its seedy & feels unsafe. Lots of drug addicts & homeless. Smoking of crack pipes in clear view of passers-by's is common. Not an area we would visit again.

The hotel is in a great position if you ask me. We were able to explore a lot on foot. We used the pool area but unfortunately was let down by the hot tub not working and pool being very cold. The area was pleasant though. We had access to the Regency club. It could get very busy at peak times but the offerings were of a good standard. The room we had was on the 20th floor. It was large and beautifully decorated . Would definitely recommend the hotel overall.
