Hotel Arts Kensington was the exact stay I wanted and beyond! The hotel exceeded my expectations from their vibrant and helpful staff, to their excellent continental breakfast. I selected the location based on being nearby a few sites I wanted to walk or bike to while in Calgary like the Peace bridge. Their location could not be more prime in the heart of Kensongton, which I came to adore. There were so many walkable sites and dining options. The hotel offered bikes and there was also a nearby e bike rental too. I was only there for 2 nights and felt like I had an experience and memories in such a short window to last a lifetime.

Great room size and love that all rooms are on the 2nd floor and there are stairs (not emergency exit stairs) so no elevator waiting! The room and common areas are a little worn but overall clean and very easy to get comfortable in the room. The fireplace is the best (we visited in January).

Beautiful rooms (starting to show their age slightly) in a fantastic location. With only 19 rooms, the layout is a bit weird as you have to walk through the lounge to get to them. Several times we had servers greet us and ask to seat us when we were just trying to get to our rooms.

We loved our stay at the Hotel Arts in Kensington. The hotel is ideally located in a lively neighborhood with lots of shops and restaurants nearby and a short walk to the heart of downtown. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. Slept so well on the comfy beds! Everything in the well-maintained room worked great. Fast internet. The free parking in the basement made this a good overall value in our view. Staff were friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was a bonus, though wouldn't expect too much.

Beautiful building in a prime location. Unfortunately the restaurant wasn't open when I was there, however there are quite a few restaurants within walking distance that are also very nice. The staff and service was incredible. We will be staying here again in the future.

All good. Except no hot water for the day I stayed. Stuff did offer me at the sister hotel. Just one night. I just declined. They should have compensated a bit. Like discount this time or next time stay here. That didn’t offered. I guess times are tough.

The small hotel atmosphere made it super relaxing! Beautiful rooms, extremely clean and friendly staff. The morning breakfast was a little weak. Not much to chose from, ended eating elsewhere.

We had a great 19th Anniversary staying at this little gem of a hotel. It was quiet and very relaxing. The room was very modern, private, and comfortable. The staff were extremely polite, kind, and helpful. Overall very enjoyable stay and a fun neighborhood with all the amenities you could need with in walking distance. Great little hidden gem restaurants in the hotel, around the corner, and just down the street. Little disappointed there wA no fitted sheet and a mess under the bed. We didn't notice the popcorn, dirty socks, and dust bunnies until we thought we had misplaced something in the room. Reported it to the front desk later that day at our scheduled check out time. I am sure it got cleaned shortly after as the staff was very apologetic and seemed genuinely concerned.

Hotel was beautiful and elegant but the rooms did not have individual AC units and were very warm at night with no way to change it. We stayed in a ground room floor which was a great room but was right beside Memorial Drive and it was incredibly loud at night with the traffic and made it hard to sleep. Great hotel and great staff but would not stay here again.

The hotel itself is lovely but we stayed in the “luxury suite” so we’d have room for our 7 year old (it’s not a separate space though unfortunately) and the air conditioning didn’t work and someone came to look at it and said nothing could be done til morning since the maintenance person wasn’t there any longer. The suite is on the bottom floor facing the street and shares a wall with the restaurant patio. It was loud all night from street noise and staff was rearranging chairs until 1015pm at least and then they were painting out there and we heard workers before 7am. When I shared these issues with the reception person it was barely acknowledged. A basic room in the back of the hotel is probably just fine.

I had slipped in the bathroom and suffered a severe gash to the back of my head. There concern was that I had over slept and missed checkout time. So they woke me up there were large amount of visible blood. They simply billed for a late check out and put me in a taxi. No help offered no compassion just pay the bill and go

A fantastic property in a great location. Kensington is a very walkable neighbourhood with lots of food and shops to explore. A short walk away from the train as well for getting further afield. Every staff member we interacted with was so hospitable and professional. It felt like they truly enjoyed hosting their guests.

Was unable to stay at the hotel as they could not accommodate our family (queen room and only one roll out). We had to find another hotel and would not allow us to cancel two weeks prior to our reservation. Really unfortunate.

First time in Calgary and this hotel was perfect! Clean, quiet, amazing staff and the restaurant was to die for. It is close to downtown, without being downtown, right on the river where you can walk, scooter or bike. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay!

I had such a delightful stay at Hotel Arts Kensington. Everything from the staff to the room to the food and wine were so nice and comforting. The room was incredibly spacious and comfortable. The folks cleaning the room did a great job every day making the bed and tisying the space. We had dinner our first night, and drinks and dessert another night, which was excellent and sophisticated. Corey kept the restaurant open that night to make sure we were able to eat and was so incredibly kind and helpful the rest of our visit. We talked Calgary and wine, and he even brought me custom made chocolate from the pastry chef one night I was enjoying a glass of wine. The complimentary breakfast was well-stocked and satisfying, which made the day an easier start, just as getting taxis called by front desk staff did. I can't say enough about this hotel. The staff almost feels like a family. It's like home away from home with exquisite art and great food.

Hotel Arts Kensington was the exact stay I wanted and beyond! The hotel exceeded my expectations from their vibrant and helpful staff, to their excellent continental breakfast. I selected the location based on being nearby a few sites I wanted to walk or bike to while in Calgary like the Peace bridge. Their location could not be more prime in the heart of Kensongton, which I came to adore. There were so many walkable sites and dining options. The hotel offered bikes and there was also a nearby e bike rental too. I was only there for 2 nights and felt like I had an experience and memories in such a short window to last a lifetime.

A beautiful large room with quality fittings and bed. Plenty of room for 2 large suitcases, large and comfortable bathroom with quality towels and accessories. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast included - simple but very welcome. And within the lovely Kensington Village locale with great cafes and restaurants and a wonderful village vibe. Just across the bridge from downtown Calgary. Highly recommend this great hotel.

We loved our stay at the Hotel Arts in Kensington. The hotel is ideally located in a lively neighborhood with lots of shops and restaurants nearby and a short walk to the heart of downtown. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. Slept so well on the comfy beds! Everything in the well-maintained room worked great. Fast internet. The free parking in the basement made this a good overall value in our view. Staff were friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was a bonus, though wouldn't expect too much.

I had such a delightful stay at Hotel Arts Kensington. Everything from the staff to the room to the food and wine were so nice and comforting. The room was incredibly spacious and comfortable. The folks cleaning the room did a great job every day making the bed and tisying the space. We had dinner our first night, and drinks and dessert another night, which was excellent and sophisticated. Corey kept the restaurant open that night to make sure we were able to eat and was so incredibly kind and helpful the rest of our visit. We talked Calgary and wine, and he even brought me custom made chocolate from the pastry chef one night I was enjoying a glass of wine. The complimentary breakfast was well-stocked and satisfying, which made the day an easier start, just as getting taxis called by front desk staff did. I can't say enough about this hotel. The staff almost feels like a family. It's like home away from home with exquisite art and great food.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Kensington Hotel which is located in a quiet residential area of Calgary next to the Bow river. The property definitely has It's charm unlike many other hotels. The service was good and all employees were polite and helpful. Our only complaint is about breakfast selection. There were not many options and quantities were very limited. If you get up a little later and come towards the end of the breakfast time, be ready to see some things completely gone. That was a little disappointing. But everything else was top notch, we really loved our luxury suite with a fireplace and cute little balcony.

Upon arrival elevator was broken and not repaired during our stay. Wi-Fi was virtually useless as we always got a banner saying (poor internet connection) and could not access the internet. The heating and cooling of the room was not individually possible. The HV/AC is controlled by the office for all rooms on one thermostat and this was unpleasant but they still kept the fan going in the room 24/7 which was noisy and breezy when the room was cool. It was very uncomfortable. There was a fireplace in the room but no remote control and no apparent way to turn it on. No information about how to use the fireplace was given at check-in. We will never stay at this property again and cannot recommend it.
