Das Pool Foto auf der Expedia Webseite ist eine wissentliche und irreführende Darstellung. Es wird der Einsruck erweckt, dass man den Pool, der eigentlich auf der gegenüberliegenden Straßenseite des Hotels, nutzen kann und er zum Hotel gehört. Fakt ist aber das Hotel hat einen ganz kleinen Pool auf der Dachterrasse, der alt und renovierungsbedürftig ist, weil er am Rand verrostet und die Fliesen teilweise abgesprungen sind. Es war eine Mega Enttäuschung. Vor allem weil auf der Webseite kein Foto vom eigentlichen Pool vorhanden ist. Der große und schöne Pool gehört zum Beach Club der St. Gruppe und hätte 20-40 Euro pro Tag und Person Eintritt gekostet. Daher werde ich auch mit Expedia nicht mehr buchen weil sie die Gäste und Buchenden komplett hinters Licht führen!!

Despite being well positioned on the waterfront, close to shops, restaurants and the local bus routes, it is clear that the hotel has seen better days. Positives - friendly helpful reception staff, good mattresses, good buffet breakfast and lots of hot water and good quality towels. Negatives - the outdoor pool area and spa is dirty with cracked tiles, mould growing around the jacuzzi and despite booking the sauna an hour before as requested it had not been turned on when we wanted to use it. Room cleaning is very poor. We had paint flakes dropping from the ceiling in our bathroom which made it very clear that whilst towels were changed when requested, the floor was not touched. The bed was straightened but the sheets were not changed, and there are signs of age and wear and tear throughout the rooms and the hotel in general. Broken fixtures, missing hinges, lots of cracked wall and floor tiles and a general lack of cleanliness everywhere except the reception area. Be warned - the photo of the pool that the hotel uses is NOT the hotel pool but from a water and bar centre across the road. Nov 2025 - there is building work happening on the second floor and produces some additional noise and mess.

The place was loverly room was great however the inside Pool was meant to be heated and it wasn’t and the jacuzzi was like warm, might aswell ran a bath and the sauna was broken

We had a great stay the hotel is in a great location right on the sea front. Ideal for a budget weekend trip away, the room was fairly spacious and had a fairly comfortable bed and the staff were all very friendly. Only things that let it down were; lifts were small and slow, some black mould/damp in bedroom and bathroom and a broken tile but didn’t effect the use at all! The spa was very busy and main pool was cold but was supposed to be heated. Overall a good stay!

Kanonbra läge bland alla redtauranger och vid havet. Spa-avlelningen stängd, verkar ha varit det länge. Poolerna som marknadsförs är på andra hotell så dit går man inte badklädd, lite falsk marknadsföring. Var inte där för att bada så gjorde inte oss något men fult. Rent, lite nedgånget men helt klart prisvärt.

Für den Preis war es ein guter Aufenthalt. Alles sauber, Frühstück war zufriedenstellend. Wenig Auswahl, aber ausreichend. Der hoteleigene Pool war sauber. Leider ist der ausgeschilderte Pool auf den Fotos von dem Aqualuna Club, den man gegen Aufpreis von 30€ pP zahlen musste. Dies sollte in der Beschreibung stehen.

Ascenseur beaucoup trop long... Piscine ridicule et froide, sur le toit. Transats sales, petit déjeuner horrible, café inbuvable et jus de fruits chimiques +++. Personnel qui enleve les assiettes et couverts dès la dernière bouchée, un peu oppressant dès le matin dans un brouhaha assourdissant. Le choix est très limité surtout quand on souhaite du sucré. Tout est industriel avec un gout de mauvaise qualité (beurre, confiture, yaourt, etc...) Hôtel bruyant, mal insonorisé. Cependant, La chambre était propre, avec une literie convenable, les oreillers sont trop mous, et sales. Salle de bain trop petite pour 3.

Great location and staff very friendly and helpful. We had a limited sea view room which was very roomy however was quite noisy from the road at night. We planned on using the indoor pool and jacuzzi but these were both dirty with murky water

Frukostmenyn var varierad, men saknade fler val av yoghurt. Rummen är bra ordnade med kaffe och te på rummet, även kyl. Vill du ha havsutsikt så br du välja det specifikt. Poolområdet på taket är fint med underbar utsikt. Många solbäddar.

Abbiamo soggiornato per 2 notti. Hotel in posizione buona anche se arrivando dall'aeroporto in bus c'è un bel tratto da fare a piedi. Posizione centrale per quanto riguarda i locali per la movida serale. In 5 minuti a piedi si raggiunge il punto di imbarco per prendere la barca che porta a La Valletta (1.50€ a tratta) e il catamarano per raggiungere Gozo e Comino. A tal proposito, ottimo servizio all'interno dell'hotel da parte della signora Enalys con i consigli, le informazioni e la possibilità di acquistare in hotel il pass. Hotel, però, molto deludente. La pulizia della camera era superficiale, bagno sporco, asciugamano con macchie, piastrelle crepate e in alcuni punti cigolanti. Il piatto doccia era rotto e alla prima doccia si è allagato il bagno. Dopo richiesta di supporto, è stato riparato con un po' di silicone. La colazione, invece, nella norma. Pros: - posizione. Per raggiungerlo dall'aeroporto con i mezzi pubblici consigliamo di andare prima a La Valletta e da lì cambiare fino a Sliema. La fermata è proprio davanti all'hotel -Servizio interno informativo per i tour e noleggio auto con la signora Enalys gentilissima Cons: -pulizia della camera -rifiniture (piastrelle rotte, piatto doccia) Lo consigliamo? Het is op een mooie locatie waar veel diner mogelijkheden zijn. Uitzicht is ook prachtig en de personeel waren ook lief. Wat minder was: - geen slippers in de kamer. - badkamer was echt niet goed, tijdens het douchen stroomde bijna water tot mijn kamer. - bed lakens waren niet heel schoon naar mijn mening, het lijkt alsof ze het niet veranderde maar alleen recht trokken.

Als wir ankamen dachten wir noch „wow die Lobby ist so schön und es soll sogar ein Fitnesstaum, Pool, Jaccuzzi und Sauna geben“ aber all das war eher eine große Enttäuschung! Die Aussicht auf der Dachterasse ist zwar schön, aber das war es auch Der Jaccuzzi war so eklig da wollte man sich nicht einmal reinsetzten und der Rest war auch nicht besonders sauber oder gut in Stande! Unser Zimmer (im sechsten Stock) war direkt unter den Pools Den ganzen Tag Chlor Geruch und die Kloake lief von oben durch unser Rohrsystem im Badezimmer Die Dusche war undicht Es war sehr laut! Die Decke löste sich halb auf und rieselte immer mal wieder herab und andere kleine Schäden waren auch vorhanden Der Zimmerservice war auch nicht gut - die Handtücher wurden einfach nur schön wieder zusammengelegt und nicht gewechselt! Alles in allem sehr mangelhaft! Die Lage war ok aber auch nicht optimal Nur das Personal war immer sehr nett und zuvorkommend!

Sehr enttäuschend! Nasse bzw. dreckige Bettwäsche- keine neuen Handtücher, erst am letzten Tag - Schimmel im Bädezimmer - Zimmer voller Ameisen - Zimmerkarte funktionierte nicht - Zimmertüre sperrte anschließend nicht richtig - haben uns etwas anderes erwartet und auch als wir beim Personal die Probleme dargestellt haben, kamen diese Infos anscheinend nie bei den dafür zuständigen Personen an und es wurde nichts dagegen gemacht oder entschädigt!

Die Räume waren einengend und die Sauberkeit und der Geruch im Zimmer war nicht gut. Das Frühstück war immer gleich (ungesund) und die Plätze waren im frühstücksraum oft voll belegt. Die Plätze am Pool waren oft vollständig belegt und der große poollandschaft auf den Buchungsbilder ist grundsätzlich im Preis nicht inbegriffen. Die Nutzung kostet täglich 30€ pro Person (Aqualuna). Das Publikum ist zum großen Teil jugendlich. Demnach war es sehr laut und ungemütlich.

À notre arrivée, on nous a demandé d’écrire nos coordonnées bancaires sur papier pour la caution, ce qui n’est pas sécurisant. L’ascenseur ne fonctionnait pas : après 30 minutes d’attente, nous avons dû monter nos valises sur 3 étages. La chambre était sale (taie d’oreiller tachée, carreaux cassés, douche mal isolée et difficile à fermer), et un matelas traînait dans le couloir. Les équipements sont très trompeurs : la piscine des photos est en réalité celle du beach club voisin, accessible uniquement pour certaines chambres. La piscine de l’hôtel est sale et froide, le spa et la salle de sport à l’abandon. L’insonorisation est catastrophique, nous avons été réveillés en pleine nuit par le vacarme des voisins. Le seul point positif : le petit-déjeuner correct. En résumé : une véritable arnaque, c’est beau sur internet mais très loin de la réalité.

The hotel itself needs big improvements, our room had mold on the bathroom ceiling, the window was broken and we had to call someone to fix it so we could close it overnight. The cleaning was not the best, a lot of hairs left on the floor, cleaning staff are not coming all the times to clean, they didn’t come to our room for 2 days in a row even if we called the reception. The swimming pool at the 7th floor was not heated on a Sunday Morning, the sauna door is broken and doesn’t close properly.. The staff were great and helpful every single time, that is a bonus of this hotel. With one exception, the italian lady selling the Malta tours at the front desk. Please pay attention and ask what you’re getting for the price! She sold us €95 tickets to get to Gozo and Comino. But she never mentioned that the transport within the island is not included!! We got there and remained on the bay area for 2 hours. Location of the hotel is great, with easy access everywhere, Bolt is very cheap to travel around. I recommend going to Julian’s Bay and The point shopping centre, great area. The view from the hotel’s rooftop is great!

Staff were lovely & very helpful. Breakfast was ok with a reasonable choice of items. However, we were offered free dinner one night as there was a problem with our room when we arrived & I can only say that I’m glad we weren’t paying for it, the food was very poor. The sea view rooms have a great view but very noisy with the busy road & restaurants below. Good location for transport links.

This is my second time staying here. The hotel is lovely the reception staff are fab. I belive was cLled Raj was very helpful. Unpon arrival at 11.30pm my bookkng had been misread and the room I booked for wasnt free. I had a night in a substute room. This was an arrigvating start to the holidsy but the team did do everything they could to elevate and rectify the issue. The hotel corridors look a little tired but im happy with thay becuase the rooms are fab. I had room 402 with a sea view abd balcolny. Im booked again (hopefully with the same room number) for March 2026

Et cette route est très fréquentée, et très tard dans la nuit ! Quand on reste une semaine, le petit déjeuner pourrait être un peu plus varié (les mêmes ingrédients pendant 7 jours...).

Pros - Good breakfast, beautiful seaview room on floor 5. Emma at reception was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Great location for exploring Valletta and the 3 cities. Room clean, warm and cosy. Cons - We booked a double and twin and ended up with two doubles. Lift tiny and very slow. Smell of rotten egg from bathroom. Bathroom tiny, sat on toilet my knees touched the sink and stood at sink my thigh touched the shower cubicle. Roof terrace not open due to refurbishment which had not been advised at the time of booking. Breakfast room quite crammed in, wouldn’t like to see it in high season! Aside from the cons I would recommend this hotel as a base for exploring and I would return if the price was as cheap as we paid this time.

The first room I was given was miniature. I'm 175cm tall. The ceiling was 20cm above my head. Bathroom was so small that you had to squeeze yourself into a gap to use the toilet and knees are pressing against the vanity. I went down immediately and asked for a change and was told they had to speak to management. Was given a change of room but no apology. It was not the room I booked though. Hotel is extremely busy. Breakfast has limited options. Bare basic.

I was upgraded on arrival to sea view room which was beautiful, overlooking the harbour & Valetta. Balcony had two chairs & coffee table and was pleasant to sit & watch the world go by. Aside from the view I think it was a standard double room with a shower. Nice compact tray with Kettle, tea/coffee & mini fridge. Open hanging rail was plentiful with hangers & space however wasn’t suitable for longer dresses - had to use the coat hook (not the end of the world) additional bedding provided. Attention to environmental awareness in toiletries & use of AC. Terrace & pool were closed which was disappointing as it was one of the features that made me choose this hotel. There was some confusion around charges for use of Aqualuna lido which was ironed out quickly. Breakfast was disappointing for me as I like to try local foods, mortadella & Maltese sausage were the only local options. Mini pastries were overcooked, melon not quite ripe. I’m not a cooked breakfast person, but the counter was plentiful with many options. Overall a good stay in a central location to all transport to move around the island. Good selection of restaurants & shops nearby. Promenade was lovely for a stroll.

There is a luggage hold area, which was great for an early arrivals and late departures with a shower and changing room. After my checkin in around 2:30 PM, I went to my room, neither the window nor the sliding door would lock. It took four trips to reception to have someone from maintenance come and fix it in about five hours. Beware that even though they have a credit card on file, they want you to pay €100 in cash for incidentals or damage and another €10 if you want to use the safe I refused both since they already have my card on file. They also want you to fill out your full credit card details on a paper form which anyone can steal your details from. Please don’t do that. You already have your card on file in the system. Do not give out your credit card information. The breakfast buffet was spectacular. Views from the seventh floor. Pool area are amazing as well. The condition of that whole area has a lot to be desired. There is a sauna with a door that doesn’t close a whirlpool that is room temperature and another indoor pool. I didn’t use any of these facilities because they all look dirty. There are about 10 blue pool towels for for use for for over 200 guests so grab one as soon as you get there. Location is very good. The airport bus stops right in front of the hotel so do all the other buses going to Saint Julian’s and to Valetta.

I arrived early 9:30 am went to front desk to check-in they took my passport said my room wasn’t ready was told to come back after 2 i came back around 6:45 to find out they had given my room away. They said I should’ve checked in at 2 but that made no sense as i was there early and room was fully paid in advance So they put me in the wheelchair accessible room but the door card reader wouldn’t work 4 trips to front desk and about 1 hour later it started working

Booked this hotel several months before our trip. When we turned up they first seemed to think we had no booking, then said we'd been moved to their 'sister' hotel. Met someone at the other hotel who said the same had happened to them. It seems clear they are overbooking this 'Bayview' hotel and then sending excess customers elsewhere. This is not acceptable. I'm still waiting for an adequate response from Expedia.

Very good hotel in a central area for transport and travel around the island. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful in all aspects of our stay. I would certainly recommend this to anyone and will plan to stay here again. The general manager took time to chat with guests at breakfast to ensure any issues could be resolved.

The hotel needs to improve the way it is displayed on the website because on the first day we had a bit of a problem there, because restless and hotel we were allocated, it was not the same as the one displayed on the website. Different room and positions, we had to complain to the manager and then be allocated the room we had seen in the booking app. We realised that other people also had the same problem.

Worst accomodation experience ever!! It the first time i am writting a review but i feel the need to inform others planning to visit the hotel. 1. We stayed 3 nights to which the 2 we didnt even sleep as there was a lot of noise on the floor. The fire alarm went off both nights with no actual fire one night at 4 o'clock and the other at 1 o'clock. 2. For 2 days there was no hot water as the hotel was full and it run out for all the hotel rooms. The management staff was not helpful at all!! They are not problem solvers. They told us we will send someone but each time no one came to fix the issue. 3. Hairdryer was not working either in our room and a lot of other rooms as we find out from other guest as well. 4. The toilet room was too small and to sat on the toilet you had to do it diagonaly. Overall this a bad experience we will never forget in a negative aspect.

The tour organizer at reception was the cherry on top, it made our life easier for plans to visit and enjoy Malta. The pool on roof top too small but with the sea and beaches at proximity, who needs a pool? All in all, top rate for Bayview Hotel.

L'hébergement est bien situé, près du port, beaucoup d'animation. Par contre, la piscine dans l'annonce n'est pas la même. En effet, celle qui apparait est une piscine annexe à l'hôtel et payante !! Donc publicité un peu mensongère. De plus, les chambres ne sont pas vraiment insonorisées, tout ce qui se passe dans le couloir (les portes qui se ferment, les clients qui parlent...) on entend tout.

Fantastic stay for access to everything Malta has to offer. Public transport & taxis really easy to Valetta & St Julian’s. Room was slightly tired and dated, however very clean and comfortable, with fresh towels & linen provided every day. Breakfast was ok, quite repetitive but pleasant and expected for the price. Reception staff, waiting staff at breakfast & cleaning staff all very friendly and helpful. Well worth paying extra for the beach club access as the hotel pool isn’t very big and there isn’t much space with only a few sunbeds.

The room was clean and had what we needed for a short weekend stay. Good breakfast. Nice bar area. Rooftop pools could do with some attention (tiling mainly) but you can access the gorgeous Aqualuna complex opposite. Only strange one for us was the daily after 3pm cleaning of the room which was quite inconvenient given we'd been out all day!

Bayview Hotel is a very beautiful, modern hotel located 10 minutes walking from Sliema and just 15 minutes to Valletta by bus or ferry. There are two direct buses to the airport. The receptionists were friendly and helpful and spoke perfect English. There was a huge British-style breakfast every morning. I booked a standard room which was very clean and tidied up daily. Most of the room was taken up by a huge, comfortable bed. There was a TV with German channels, a small balcony facing a courtyard, and a bathroom with shower. The top floor of the hotel has a small pool and wellness area, with indoor and outdoor pools (unfortunately not heated while I was there - December 2023), a "jacuzzi" (small lukewarm pool with one jet), massage and fitness areas, and a sauna (which you had to book 1 hour in advance). The rooftop lounge was perfect for sunbathing by the pool even though it was too cold (for me!) to swim. Unfortunately the whole fitness/wellness area was only open from 10-18h so there was no possibility of a workout before breakfast or a sauna in the evening. I spent most of my days sightseeing so didn't use the wellness options as much as I would have liked. The neighborhood is lively but not touristy. There are dozens of restaurants, bars, and hotel bars within easy walking distance, ranging from casual to upscale to fast food to healthy eating. My favorite one was The Balance Bowl vegan restaurant, just 5 minutes walking from the hotel.

Great hotel, amazing location bus stop outside and ferry service to Valletta 10 minute walk away. Suzi Q bar do delicious banana Mojitos. Only downside to my stay was the lift broke a couple of times during the week. On our last day it broke which resulted in us having to carry our suitcases down 6 floors

Excellent location...staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast buffet had good choice and tables were cleaned and cleared as you finished eating. Comfortable bar area with large TVs showing mainly live sport. Bus stop to go to Valetta across the road and to head north towards st Julian's outside hotel. Ferry service to Valetta near by and a cheap and scenic way to enter Valetta. Room was clean and spacious and well worth paying a little more for sea view.Great views from roof top pool with sunloungers. I would definitely book this hotel again.

Staff were lovely & very helpful. Breakfast was ok with a reasonable choice of items. However, we were offered free dinner one night as there was a problem with our room when we arrived & I can only say that I’m glad we weren’t paying for it, the food was very poor. The sea view rooms have a great view but very noisy with the busy road & restaurants below. Good location for transport links.

Die Plätze am Pool waren oft vollständig belegt und der große poollandschaft auf den Buchungsbilder ist grundsätzlich im Preis nicht inbegriffen. Die Nutzung kostet täglich 30€ pro Person (Aqualuna). Das Publikum ist zum großen Teil jugendlich. Demnach war es sehr laut und ungemütlich.

Fantastic stay for access to everything Malta has to offer. Public transport & taxis really easy to Valetta & St Julian’s. Room was slightly tired and dated, however very clean and comfortable, with fresh towels & linen provided every day. Breakfast was ok, quite repetitive but pleasant and expected for the price. Reception staff, waiting staff at breakfast & cleaning staff all very friendly and helpful. Well worth paying extra for the beach club access as the hotel pool isn’t very big and there isn’t much space with only a few sunbeds.

Chambre agréable, refaite récemment. Mais les fenêtres sont assez vétustes, et n'ont pas l'isolation suffisante pour arrêter le bruit de la route en contrebas. Et cette route est très fréquentée, et très tard dans la nuit ! Quand on reste une semaine, le petit déjeuner pourrait être un peu plus varié (les mêmes ingrédients pendant 7 jours...).

Excellently located (10 mins to ferry) £10 uber to Airport and less to Valleta old town. Amazing views across the harbour from our seaview room (512). The room was clean and had what we needed for a short weekend stay. Good breakfast. Nice bar area. Rooftop pools could do with some attention (tiling mainly) but you can access the gorgeous Aqualuna complex opposite. Only strange one for us was the daily after 3pm cleaning of the room which was quite inconvenient given we'd been out all day!

Personnel qui enleve les assiettes et couverts dès la dernière bouchée, un peu oppressant dès le matin dans un brouhaha assourdissant. Le choix est très limité surtout quand on souhaite du sucré. Tout est industriel avec un gout de mauvaise qualité (beurre, confiture, yaourt, etc...) Hôtel bruyant, mal insonorisé. Cependant, La chambre était propre, avec une literie convenable, les oreillers sont trop mous, et sales. Salle de bain trop petite pour 3.

The AC didn't work, despite moving rooms. The room never dropped below 28°c. Lots of people complaining about this. The front door broke and injured me. The pool pictured is not even at the hotel, and costs money to use. The hotel pool isn't nice and the advertised sauna doesn't work. Breakfast was also sub par.

This is not really a review of this hotel, since I had booked this hotel but wasn't placed in it. Instead I was placed at the sister hotel called Alavits and it's located about 100 m away. My main concern about both of these hotels is that they both use photos of a pool as a poster, which is not even at the hotel. There's many photos of a plus-shaped pool, which is a privately owned pool which costs €30 per day to go to. The pool they're using in their advertising is called AquaLuna. But nowhere in the photos of the hotels is this being said. There is a pool at the Bayview Hotel and also at the Alavits, but they are much smaller and nothing compared to their advertising. We tested the pool at the Bayview, and that was a lot worse than the Alavits pool which was really nice.
