The theme nights, the food was very average, better to eat outside the hotel. The indoor pool isn’t heated, although great to have complimentary passes to the Aqua Luna across the road to the Hotel

Our stay at the Waterfront was absolutely fantastic and gave us a real VIP feel. The staff were so warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful – we were greeted with a lovely welcome drink and helpful information when we arrived. Our room was huge with a stunning sea view, and the spa and indoor facilities were excellent – the pool was a good size and never too busy, and the jacuzzi was perfect for relaxing. I loved the cold, scented towels from the fridge – such a nice touch – and the cosy slippers and robe made it feel extra special. The location couldn’t be better – right near the ferry, which made it so easy to pop over to Gozo or take a boat trip. The other guests were also very lovely; we always exchanged smiles and greetings, which added to the friendly atmosphere. Housekeeping was spot on. We never saw the cleaner, but every day our room was left spotless, with little treats like nuts, biscuits, and fresh bottled water. The kids were so happy with their own toiletry box left just for them. Breakfast was really good, with plenty of vegetarian choices for us. I loved the fresh smoothies and the granola in those cute little glasses. A special thanks to Mashud, who greeted us warmly every single morning and made sure we and the children were looked after. We slept well every night, felt so cared for, and can’t wait to come back again soon.

The hotel itself was very nice with lovely rooms and very helpful staff. However the outdoor pool is across a busy road and open to general public. The pool is also extremely busy which meant we hardly used it. The rooftop bar (Cielo Lounge) is amazing with great views. We also ate at their barbecue one evening where they had a live saxophone player. There are ample places to eat near the hotel within walking distance or you can Uber to town and eat there. Very close to €2 ferry to Valletta.

The property is in a good location on the waterfront, close to the local bus stops, ferry services and tourist buses. Can be noisy with the windows open but the air conditioning was good so not generally a problem. Good choice of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel We enjoyed a barbecue night at the rooftop restaurant and enjoyed drinks at the roof top bar a couple of nights. We enjoyed the use of the indoor swimming pool but it could get busy late in the afternoon.

The hotel was clean and the room was nice. The pool access was actually a public lido that was always very busy and expensive, where we were stopped for bringing in our own water when it was 38'c. Not great.

Et dejligt hotel med adgang til en pool på tværs af gaden. Puljen var meget besøgt fra flere hoteller og folk fra gaden. Det var klamt og beskidt og virkelig dyrt og dårlig service fra personalet, men der var ikke rigtig andre muligheder for at køle af og nyde solen. The Waterfront is situated about halfway along the Sliema bay overlooking Valletta and the Manoel Island. Generally, the hotel is clean and well kept. It’s very convenient for the ferry to Valletta, excursions and local bars. Don’t be fooled by the photos of the pools. The hotel doesn’t have its own pool. Instead they have free entry to a shared ‘pool club’ over the road. This is shared with at least two other hotels and they sell entrance to third parties too. What this leads to is an incredibly cramped and busy pool area with loud dance music blaring all day - not great at all if you fancy a quiet relax looking over the harbour. The indoor pool is very small. The view from the rooftop bar is great, but expect not to be able to use it on several days - they let it out for functions regularly (we had that twice in a four night stay). They’re trying with their ‘green’ credentials - refillable water bottles, messaging etc, but then give you toiletries in lots of little plastic bottles. A bit of an oversight.

Modern extremely clean hotel with well trained knowledgeable professional friendly staff. Well located for Sliema restaurants and amenities including the Valletta ferry which are all within walking distance. The fittings of the hotel are of very good quality, the bedroom reasonably spacious, comfortable bed, and everything worked with plenty of hot water for the shower. The breakfast buffet choice was extensive including barista prepared coffee and omelette made to order, and food of good quality. Our 4 nights stay was superb and really made our break. Highly recommended. The indoor swimming pool had a 32C water temperature and a warmer hot tub.

God beliggenhed og flot udsigt med værelse med altan mod bugten. Morgenmad var ikke noget særligt. Elendige madrasser som var gammeldags spring madrasser som var meget hårde - vi fik så lagt en top madras oveni det hjalp lidt. En stor dobbelt dyne som vi ønskede 2 enkelt dyner - spurgte 3 gange uden held. En dag fik vi ikke gjort rent men måtte bede om det og manglede konstant toilet papir så vi måtte "låne" en rulle fra Hotellets fælles toiletter det skete alle dagene

The Waterfront Hotel is perfectly located on the Sliema promenade The staff were all really helpful and always smiling ready to serve. The reception area was always clean and buzzing with activity The room was well appointed (if the coffee sachets needed to be replenished a bit more regularly) and the hotels desire to be more eco friendly is well communicated. In some areas, the hotels fixture and fittings are starting to look a bit worn (rust on the balcony, mould starting to appear in the shower, and the bathroom door looking a bit worn) When 2 out of the 4 lifts were out of action there were no notices to inform residents of this. All in all a hotel that I would recommend

Lovely big room with a great view, and a big and modern bathroom. Comfy firm bed and choice of pillows. Main drawback was a slight mysterious damp smell, which I dealt with by keeping the sliding doors to the balcony partly open at all times (I didn't mention it to the staff, which perhaps I should have done).

This is probably one of the most lopsided hotel reviews I've ever written in my life. The good - the location is superb. Plenty of shopping, restaurants, and small grocery stores within walking distance from the front of the hotel. All the staff I encountered were awesome, including the front desk staff, housekeeping staff, and the restaurant staff. The room itself was spacious, clean, with great air conditioning (room 1003). The spa treatments were great. The restaurant dinner menu was excellent. The bad and I mean EXTREMELY BAD - There's a large rooftop terrace on the 10th floor. Our room was literally two feet from the entrance to the rooftop terrace. My wife and I arrived really late on check in and were exhausted from our flight, so we went immediately to bed and thankfully there was no event going on that night on the rooftop terrace that first night. However, there was an event on the second night with a DJ. The DJ might as well have been INSIDE OUR ROOM. Why on earth would an architect design a rooftop terrace to be literally two feet from a suite? Rooms 1003, 1002, and most likely 1001 are a complete WASH. I wouldn't rent out those rooms. I paid $285.05 per night, $1,209.85 total for four nights for a Deluxe Suite, with two of the nights with DJ music blasting through the wall. Luckily, my wife and I travel with earplugs, but usually that's to block out street noise. Thankfully they work well when trying to block out disco music DIRECTLY NEXT DOOR.

We had a seaview room. Lovely view of the harbour. Room is so spacious with an additional space for tv and sitting area. Surprisingly with 2 balconies which enjoy the seaview. Staff and manager are super friendly and helpful. Cleanliness and security is excellent. The location is perfectly convenient. So much high reviewed restaurants within walking distance. Also plenty of convenience stores around.

Fabulous hotel. The room has everything we needed. The view from our room on the sixth floor was easily the best we've had from any hotel. Sunrise was absolutely stunning. The staff were all friendly, welcoming and professional. The hotel is in a great location with easy access to buses and ferries to Valletta and the rest of the island.

Das Zimmer hatte eine gute Größe, das Bett war sehr bequem und der Ausblick eine Wucht. Der Service im Hotel war super. Lediglich ein Kellner war unfreundlich, im Gegensatz zum Barkeeper, der alle Wünsche versucht hat zu erfüllen. Auch das Rezeptionsteam war zuvorkommend und freundlich.Das Essen, insbesondere der Burger und das Steak sind sehr empfehlenswert. Schade, das in der Rooftopbar kein Salat serviert wird. Da ich ein bisschen auf die Figur achten muss, kann ich nicht immer Burgher essen. Wir wären dort sonst noch häufiger hingegangen. Das Schwimmbad und der Gymbereich sind sehr gepflegt. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und werden bestimmt wieder kommen. Der einzige Nachteil dieses Hotels ist der Bau-und Straßenlärm. Dafür liegt es aber sehr zentral. Man kann nicht alles haben.

Bed and pillows were very comfortable and breakfast was excellent, loved the fresh orange juice. We used the heated pool across the street even though it is the middle of November. Location is convenient to the ferry to cross to Valetta and the airport bus stop is just a short walk away. The only down side is that you can hear a lot of traffic and music if you have a sea view room.

Our room was on the second floor and the traffic noise was extremely loud. We managed to drown it out to some extent by keeping the ac on all night. We asked to be moved but the reception staff did not appear particularly helpful and didn't follow it up for us. Other than the room issue we really liked the hotel and breakfast was especially good and very varied.

Absolutely incredible, start to finish. Got to hotel 2 hours early. Our room was ready and staff kindly let us check in, after a welcome drink! Everything spotless. Breakfast was tasty with nice selection. Access to pool which was equally clean and a nice place to spend a day or two relaxing. Allowed to use hotel facilities (including pool) after check out whilst waiting to return home. The friendliest and most helpful staff of any hotel I’ve stayed at before. We will be returning next year!

The front desk staff were generally unhelpful and quite rude. Not friendly at all and acted with a very pompous attitude. Whenever asked questions, they said they didn't know or told us to ask another department at the hotel. We were surprised by the rudeness in a so-called 4 star hotel! The bar tenders at the bar downstairs and on the roof, however, were very polite and kind. The complete opposite of the front desk staff. Overall, we are shocked that this hotel claims to be 4 stars. The amenities, the hotel room, and the quality of service were not up to par with a 4 star hotel. More like 3 stars. Also, the massage in the hotel's spa was the worst massage I have ever had in my life. Shocked that they do not have better skilled massage therapists employed. The Indian woman who gave me the massage had no idea what she was doing. Please train your staff better!

Every thing was great EXCEPT the concierge. We booked hop on off @ 56 euros plus gave 5 euro tip. She pointed out the bus stop & told us to wait there. She did not tell us any thing about the buses. She did not say there would be buses to many areas. We booked the SOUTH & ended up on NORTH bus We missed all we wanted to see & ended getting off & ending wrong tour. Waste of 61 euros & time. SHE OFFERED NO REFUND AT ALL ALL. Poor info for travelers that know nothing about bus operations. This was only bad thing. All hotel was GREAT.

Everything was simply amazing, from the view, to the breakfast but most of all the staff who made the stay exceptionally special. Shout out to Mashud who was so welcoming at breakfast each day and went out of his way to make sure my parents were looked after. Chef Steve, fellow united fan and all round legend even ran to get us coffees in the morning when he didn't have to. Suhail is the true coffee machine. Fantastic barista making excellent coffees quickly and efficiently each day (and Priya too). Suraj topping us up like a pro during the complementary drinks and was nice to also meet Frederick the GM after his warm speech. Kuldeep also deserves a special mention for working tirelessly each morning and evening, serving the guests so well. Alexandra gave us fantastic tour advice im reception too. We even had a big hug. Really didn't expect to feel so welcomed and I hope we have a chance to come back again. Couldn't be happier with our stay, the staff worked so, so hard but always had a smile and kind word for us.

Great hotel with amazing staff, small issues delt with by maintenance quickly. Breakfast choices amazing with a barista and fresh orange juice machine and a wide selection of food choices. Hopefully will be returning next month.

This hotel has the best staff we’ve ever encountered. We’ve stayed at many five-star and four-diamond properties, and the customer service here surpasses them all. The Waterfront Hotel is well located to explore Malta, with good bus and ferry routes nearby. The hotel was clean and tidy and amenities were as described. The ability to use the AquaLuna outdoor pool just across the road was very good. Road noise was sadly evident from our water front facing room. Staff were very professional and helpful. Breakfast buffet was very good with a vast choice available daily. Overall a lovely place to stay.

Modern extremely clean hotel with well trained knowledgeable professional friendly staff. Well located for Sliema restaurants and amenities including the Valletta ferry which are all within walking distance. The fittings of the hotel are of very good quality, the bedroom reasonably spacious, comfortable bed, and everything worked with plenty of hot water for the shower. The breakfast buffet choice was extensive including barista prepared coffee and omelette made to order, and food of good quality. Our 4 nights stay was superb and really made our break. Highly recommended. The indoor swimming pool had a 32C water temperature and a warmer hot tub.

The Waterfront is situated about halfway along the Sliema bay overlooking Valletta and the Manoel Island. Generally, the hotel is clean and well kept. It’s very convenient for the ferry to Valletta, excursions and local bars. Don’t be fooled by the photos of the pools. The hotel doesn’t have its own pool. Instead they have free entry to a shared ‘pool club’ over the road. This is shared with at least two other hotels and they sell entrance to third parties too. What this leads to is an incredibly cramped and busy pool area with loud dance music blaring all day - not great at all if you fancy a quiet relax looking over the harbour. The indoor pool is very small. The view from the rooftop bar is great, but expect not to be able to use it on several days - they let it out for functions regularly (we had that twice in a four night stay). They’re trying with their ‘green’ credentials - refillable water bottles, messaging etc, but then give you toiletries in lots of little plastic bottles. A bit of an oversight.

This hotel is very well located for a visit to Valletta without being set in the middle of throngs of tourists. The ferry to Valletta is an easy walk from the building and the big advantage is, of course, the proximity to the waterfront. The hotel itself is very serviceable and completely acceptable except that it lacks character. It has a cool, corporate feel. Those who desire more traditional surroundings should go elsewhere. The waterfront restaurants are convenient and the pool is another waterside benefit. All in all, a pretty strong choice.

The hotel itself was very nice with lovely rooms and very helpful staff. However the outdoor pool is across a busy road and open to general public. The pool is also extremely busy which meant we hardly used it. The rooftop bar (Cielo Lounge) is amazing with great views. We also ate at their barbecue one evening where they had a live saxophone player. There are ample places to eat near the hotel within walking distance or you can Uber to town and eat there. Very close to €2 ferry to Valletta.

The location was central and convenient for tours. The staff were great; very responsive! Unclear what was happening with the new restaurant. Breakfast appears to be the only meal served there at the time. Tried dinner and it was closed; no signage as to opening hours or why it was closed. However, we were able to order food from the bar. Will stay there again.

The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The breakfast was a huge buffet, with plenty possibilities to choose from. The chef would come by and let us taste different Maltesian foods. There´s a barrista stand for the coffee lovers and a fresh orange juice maker. We had diner at the lobby bar and at the 10live. A restaurant at the 10th floor, with a beautiful setting and view. We ate there at the ´Italian night´ and enjoyed the live music played there. The food was also delicious! Every night they have a theme night, like ABBA, Hollywood, Maltesian, Italian... Make a reservation for this. There are 2 bars, one at the lobby and one at the rooftop with a beautiful view over the city. 2 swimmingpools (1 indoor, 1 across the street). The one across the street is also free. 1 spa (not included in the price), 1 gym. The room was very spacey and the beds were perfect. You can adjust the airconditioning. Never slept this good! There´s also tv where you can stream or watch live tv. There´s a fridge, you can iron, get slippers and bathrobes to use. There´s also a coffee and tea facility in the room and a safe. On the floor where we stayed and in the lobby, you can refill your bottle with water for free. The surroundings of the hotel have plenty shops and bars and restaurants. There are also busstops nearby. We´ve gotten a travelcard for 7 days for 25 euro´s. Just use google maps or the tallinja app to get around. I would definately recomment this hotel!!!

Make a reservation for this. There are 2 bars, one at the lobby and one at the rooftop with a beautiful view over the city. 2 swimmingpools (1 indoor, 1 across the street). The one across the street is also free. 1 spa (not included in the price), 1 gym. The room was very spacey and the beds were perfect. You can adjust the airconditioning. Never slept this good! There´s also tv where you can stream or watch live tv. There´s a fridge, you can iron, get slippers and bathrobes to use. There´s also a coffee and tea facility in the room and a safe. On the floor where we stayed and in the lobby, you can refill your bottle with water for free. The surroundings of the hotel have plenty shops and bars and restaurants. There are also busstops nearby. We´ve gotten a travelcard for 7 days for 25 euro´s. Just use google maps or the tallinja app to get around. I would definately recomment this hotel!!!

The hotel breakfast is excellent, with a wide variety of food to choose from. The staff are very friendly and helpful. In the evenings, there’s live music in the lobby. There are also many restaurants nearby, and it’s just a short, easy walk to the Sliema Ferry.

Wonderful! The staff is very kind and helpful. The hotel is very comfy. We liked our stay. I am travelling a lot for business purpose and I am seeing a lot a bad hotel. I have almost nothing to say about this one. The AC is noisy. That's it. The only "negative" point. Very well located Close to a lot. Not so noisy (the town) The pool is... AWESOME ! Very chic. We also went to eat on the evening.it was very classy and delicious. The rooftop bar is awesome. The view is breathtaking ! A must Not to mention the breakfast with a real baristo making delicious coffee. Thank you !! We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family !

We stayed in the waterfront hotel as it was a birthday celebration and they did not disappoint. The view from the room was beautiful as well as quiet especially as it's on a main road. The room and bathroom was always brilliant and clean and the staff were honestly exceptional and could not do enough for us. Great choice of breakfast items every day as well as a great restaurant with an exceptional view of the harbour. It was the perfect distance from the small boats to Valletta as well as the speed boats to Comino and the buses ( all 5 minute walk) will definitely be staying here next time i visit Malta.

A very well located hotel in Sliema. We had a sea view balcony room which had a fantastic view of the Marina and Valetta. The room was quite standard furnishing wise - perfectly acceptable and comfortable. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The pool situation would personally put me off staying again. Having to queue to access a pool at 10.00am wasn't great for me - as an early rise, I like to be able to sit by the pool whenever I like. But that's just me! Pool hours were 10.00am to 6.00pm. We did not have breakfast but did enjoy a drink on the rooftop bar (again with great views).

A very positive experience. It’s in a busy part of Malta with lots going on nearby, but it’s not crazy busy. Great breakfast - fresh orange juice squeezed in front of you, barista making great coffee, and a good range of tasty options. Nice touch at lobby with a mini-market via vending machine. Great views from rooftop bar. Only negative is that the open air pool is across the road and is super busy as it’s shared with paying members of the public. The hotel does have reserved area though. Staff were really pleasant and helpful. Waterfront gets a strong recommendation from us.
