Enjoyed the vases of flowers around the hotel, very beautiful! Stafd was nice. Enjoyed our time in the hotel bar, friendly bartender. Nice breakfast. Was an easy and safe walk to the main part of town and thw Althone Castle.

There are no laundry facilities onsite or nearby, despite their listing stating they are available. The bar staff were friendly. Children are allowed in the bar area so there was a lot of running back and forth and screaming. If you are looking for a quiet place to have a pint, this is not it. There is plenty of parking, which is a plus given the limited (free) parking elsewhere in town. If youre up for the walk, its only 10-15 minutes to Sean's Bar.

This property is a perfect stop in Athlone. It is easy to walk into the city centre and the parking was very convenient. There is also a lovely breakfast available at the hotel.

Beautiful comfortable accomodations that is walkable to the castle and other sites. We had a lovely birthday dinner in the Lodge's pub . Dessert was divine.

This was the 2nd time at this hotel. Nicely located and reasonable price. Rooms are nice and clean. Staff is very friendly. The hotel restaurant bar is very convenient. Very friendly service. The location is perfect. Very short walk to downtown but in a very quiet area. I love this place and will return.

Room was clean but carpets were musty and everything seemed very old - sure the lobby was updated and remodeled - the same attention needs to be paid to the rest of the facility. Pub was lively and fun - breakfast was as expected.

The apartment was okay. The one thing I would recommend is that the dining and kitchen area be cleaned better. The furniture, such as the couch and chairs should be cleaned better or get leather ones which clean up much better. Also, the carpet could be cleaned. The bedroom and bathroom was fine.

Adequate stay - room was comfortable enough. The furnishings of the room and general decor of the hotel are a bit dated. The welcome was fine, a bit perfunctory. Just to note, I was in room 203 which was *right* above the parking area for food delivery so starting around 5am it got noisy with someone unloading a lorry.

But luckily the hotel was so understanding, and helped us to get the right dates on our booking, without having trouble with the fact that we wasn’t in Ireland yesterday

When I arrived at a late hour, there was no room available despite having two emails to confirm my booking. Said there was no record of my booking. Guy at desk told me he arranged bed in nearby hotel and that manager would contact me following day. Arrived at other hotel who said they never heard from hotel I booked and had no rooms. Couldn’t find anywhere and ended up sleeping in car. No contact since from hotel.

No water in room. No shampoo or conditioner or shower cap. Shower in bath so elderly mother nxt door couldn’t have a shower. Bit of walk to town so had to take car. Otherwise staff nice and helpful. Room nice and beds very comfy.

Staff were very friendly breakfast was one of the best I have had in a hotel for ages. The bar was lovely.If there was one fault a blind should be installed at the window otherwise the curtains had to be drawn.
