Decent hotel right on the bus line to downtown. Had a parking lot, one of the few in the city, but best for small cars!

Property location doesn’t have any nearby Coop, Migros or any of major convenience stores. Bathroom needs renovation and shower space is pretty low standards along with curtain etc. Overall strictly average place considering beds were good. There is no elevator so you require to pick all luggage on all floors.

The Hotel was very difficult to find. Parking is on site, but so small that took me about 10 minutes to maneuver it. The receptionist mostly interested in leaving, which happened before 8:00 PM. No elevator. No restaurant after the same receptionist. No breakfast. Somehow all these things seemed to contradict the on-line info., but I may be wrong. The room was decent. Should be priced much lower.

Love the side entrance, bus stop right outside the door and the fan provided in the room. It was cozy but comfortable enough for 3. Front desk was super nice.

Really liked this Hotel and the main person gentleman at the reception. Very, very helpful. He went out of his way and provided a small mini fridge to store our meds and ice packs. Carried our luggage up the stairs as the hotel could not be equipped with an elevator. Very convenient location bus stop right in front of the Hotel 5 minutes away from the main railway station. Free bus service was offered. Room was spacious enough for 3 adults. Really liked this Hotel very much. If we do plan another visit this will be the Hotel to revisit. Thank you so much.

Lovely hotel with friendly helpful staff and nice communal area. Parking is available but due to location and layout some spaces are rather tight. Stayed with my three kids in family room on top floor. Large room with lots of space though room had two double beds instead of advertised four singles. No lift so had to carry suitcase up a reasonable amount of stairs to room. Really convenient for bus to Lucerne and beyond as stop right outside hotel. Would recommend to anyone.

I do NOT recommend this place at all. The customer service was lacking; Samil was not friendly or helpful. They only provide towels for the shower and do not offer hand or face towels. The glasses given for drinking were filthy, as was the shower, which had a broken showerhead that was just hanging from the hook. The toilet was cramped, and the third person in our group had to sleep in an uncomfortable hospital-like bed. Additionally, the location is not near any tourist areas. From the train station, it took about five stops to reach the "hotel." When we mentioned we were staying at Hotel Spatz to some people we met on the bus, they said it was more like a motel. The hotel is situated next to a busy road, making it quite loud in the evenings. They provided us with an electric fan, but there is no air conditioning, and July is a very hot month. We also had to carry our six pieces of luggage up two flights of stairs. They did provide coffee and sugar in sachets, but the electric kettle was filthy. No coffee machine. The room was extremely cramped, leaving little space for three people and our luggage. On the positive side, the water pressure in the shower was great. The bus stop is directly in front of the hotel, which is convenient for catching the bus quickly, but it also means that we hear the noise of buses and cars in the morning and evening.o meant that we heard the noise of buses and cars in the morning and evenings. Good luck to future guests—you have been warned!

Not a great location, property was quite dirty and the room had a faint drain smell.

Staff was helpful, the room felt dirty (lots of mold in the shower) and bed was not comfortable.

There is a faint drain smell in the building and room. However, the customer service is excellent! There is no supermarket nearby, but there is a restaurant conveniently located opposite the hotel.

Location was perfect for our trip and the staff at the reception was accomodating. The maids forgot to flush the toilet when we arrived. Also the maids forgot to refill the cups and bathroom glasses in our room. Besides this the water pressure, hot water, room size, extra bed and amenities were perfect. You should choose the room for its location.

We spent a terrible night without sleep as the temperatures were extreme hot and no air conditioner in the room and loud noises from the street, as we had to keep the windows open for air circulation.

The property had no A/C and our room never cooled down. We even had the windows open to help cool it down, but the traffic was so noisy all night we could barely sleep. There were not many dining options for dinner within walking distance of the hotel.

Small room but it worked for just one night.

Over all nice experience. For a night passing through this city while traveling. The only one thing that made our stay uncomfortable was they have no A/C . Visited in June on a pretty warm day and night . The room are small and it get hot very easy . If you open windows you will hear loud noise from traffic .

Staff was friendly and had 1 of 2 rooms ready early so we could store luggage and freshen up after the long flight. We did not try the breakfast.

Samer at the front desk was the best! He definitely went above and beyond more than once for the enjoyment of our stay. He even went as far as riding the bus with us and showing us which stop to take! (It happened to be the same bus he was taking but still, we were very grateful). The hotel was conveniently located for our needs and the beds were comfortable and clean. It was just right!

Samir at the front desk was incredibly helpful and a great ambassador for the hotel. The location is just OK (15 minute walk from the real city center) but free public transit runs all the time. Property is clean and rooms are airy with great windows.

We got to the hotel and we were locked out. we called the emergency line and the agent said we werent on the guest list. The room is over $300/night and we couldnt get in.

My stay at this boutique hotel was an absolute delight! The property is small, quaint, and impeccably maintained, offering a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, going above and beyond to make me feel at home. Their warm hospitality made my experience even more enjoyable. As pointed out in other reviews, be aware that there is no AC. It can get very hot at night. The lack of AC aside, the hotel holds a good standard. The staff is very friendly and the walk into the city center is nice and short (15 minutes). You also get a free pass for the buss. All in all, a nice hotel, but very varm at summer time.

Very friendly staff, bus stop is in front of the hotel entrance. Good location.

Easily reachable by bus, right next to bus stop.

We walked from the train station but then took the bus from then on. There aren’t many amenities or restaurants nearby but we did find a nice walkable option called Militargarten where we had good local beer and the best bruschette we had on the trip.

We were notified upon check in a shower door was removed as a recent guest broke it. The manager offered to give my family (3 of us) free breakfast for both days of our stay which was more than fair and appreciated (I did not ask for anything)! I am grateful for the hospitality and generosity that was extended to us. The area is less than a mile from the center of old Luzern and we walked. The area is quiet and safe so this was not an issue.

I could get transportation to and from the city and train station without any problems and it was just outside of the hotel! Hiwever, any gricery store, pharmacy, or laundry services were in the neighborhood. The breakfast was goid with a selection.

I strongly recommend against staying at the Hotel Spatz. Unfortunately, though the hotel sppears quaint on the outside, it is very poorly maintained on the inside, and has a below-average dining area inside. The room was dirty, extremely hot, and had very little noise insulation. Additionally, the management is seemingly crooked, as I was issued a extra fee upon arrival for staying there with my wife, as if an extra person really requires a 70 franc charge. It seemed to be thought up just to make a cheap buck. Again, I strongly recommend against staying here because there are much better options in Lucerne for similar or better prices, and you will not have to suffer through this place.

Séjour super ! Accueil parfait même hors des horaires d'ouverture grâce à une box à code. Petit buffet petit-déjeuner très bon et avec du choix malgré la restaurant fermée. Rapport qualité prix plus que parfait ! Chambre très confortable et assez spacieuse pour une famille de 3 personnes. Isolation des fenêtres parfaite ! Près d'un carrefour passant, pas de bruit extérieur.

Fin beliggenhed i forhold til bymidte. Men virkelig megen gadestøj, meget varmt værelse, lav standard, meget lille badeværelse og ekstra seng af meget lav standard. Da vi ønskede at spise morgenmad, virkede receptionisten næsten som om vi var til besvær.

Did not have breakfast. Overall, it was a good stay.
