The Lodge At Uxmal

We had a lovely stay at The Lodge at Uxmal. Very conveniently located right at the entrance to the site. The rooms were very comfortable, with wide verandas outside each room with seating areas. It was very pleasant to sit outside our rooms in the mornings and evenings, reading and admiring the birdlife. The property was lovely, with beautiful grounds and a smattering of two-story thatched-roof buildings surrounding a couple of (very refreshing!) pools. The sole drawback is that the restaurant is outrageously overpriced. Breakfast (included in our room) was tasty, but the dinner is literally three times the price of comparable restaurants in the area. I understand that is not all that unusual for a hotel, but it still felt egregious.

El lugar es increíble,fuimos en familia y disfrutamos muchísimo. El desayuno es delicioso y el personal es súper amable. Vale la pena hacer el tour en Land Rover.

The Lodge at Uxmal couldn't be better located to experience Uxmal and other wonders of the Ruta Puuc. Uxmal itself is literally a walk across the driveway. As for the Lodge, the property was a series of contradictions. The included breakfast was excellent and the service delightful. Dinner is served under the same giant palapa, but was something of a mixed bag. The spa services advertised online weren't available during our three day visit. The grounds are being maintained, the pools are impressive and our room well appointed, if a bit dated in the bathroom. Porches with carved rocking chairs and benches front every room. But still, the whole place carries an air of neglect or indifference, as though a classic property from the golden age of travel was just waiting to be nudged into the modern era. Perhaps we were traveling in low season as we were but two of what appeared to be about ten guests. We walked across the highway to check out what we took to be the Lodge's sister property, the Hacienda, and it was even more deserted. Overall the experience was fine, even great in some respects, though just not quite what we were expecting based the materials available when booking the hotel. That said, we would stay here again for the convenience to Uxmal, the pools and overall ambiance, just with adjusted expectations.

Bel hôtel juste à côté des ruines d’Uxmal, cadre magnifique 2 belles piscines et une pour enfants très propres. La chambre est spacieuse. Salle de bain vieillotte, robinets usés. Internet et télévision ne fonctionnent pas ou très mal, dommage pour un hôtel à ce prix. Niveau restauration c’est bon mais très cher le soir, super petit déjeuner avec tout ce qu’il faut.

Genial la ubicación para conocer Uxmal que está abandonado y mugroso pero eso es culpa del gobierno federal. Cerca de Kabah que es muy lindo. El hotel no refleja las fotos pues todo está viejo y polvoso. Las albercas nadie las usa, parecen que tienen nata. Wakala.

We asked for rooms away from the main check-in (it's closer to the road and less private), and though they'd already assigned us 3 rooms, they were happy to accommodate, and changed us to another building. Pools are fabulous--a treat after a day at the ruins.

Property is nice, beautiful swimming pool, great location at the entrance of Uxmal. However, very noisy : we could hear our neighbors all night long as well as some vehicles.

Muy bonito hotel amplias habitaciones y con clima frio muy cómodo, a unos cuantos pasos de la zona arqueolpgica de Uxmal, con dos albercas muy bonitas y el restaurante también excelente.

The Lodge at Uxmal is a special place just outside the entrance to the archeological site so ideal for staying at to see the sound and light show at night. The room was comfortable and clean with nice bedding and the place is set amongst trees so there are abundant birds and nature all around. Really lovely. It also has a very nice restaurant so is a great place to base exploring the Ruta Puuc from.

There’s not a better place to stay while exploring the Ruta Puuc. Room was immaculate and attractive. The restaurant served food and drinks that ranged from good to excellent. Ultimately the convenient access to Uxmal and nearby sites make this a great spot. The only negative is WiFi and cellular signals are minimal once you enter your room.

It is dated, but maintained and clean. It could use a spruce up but is a great place to be to explore the Ruta Puuc. I am just surprised more people don't seem to know about it.

The Lodge is conveniently located, right outside the gates of Uxmal, meaning that you can walk to the site as soon as it opens to avoid the crowds. The first room we were given had lots of dust on the bedframe and other surfaces and looked old and dated. It also had mould on the ceiling. We requested a move which was freely given and the new room, which was closer to reception, was much better. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and looked after us well at dinner and breakfast, including providing vegan options for one of our party. The sister property, which is the Hacienda located 5 minutes walk away looks beautiful. If we went again, we would probably prefer to stay at the Hacienda, though there is no restaurant there.

A pleasant stay except that water was not available once briefly on our first evening and then for a longer time in the next morning preventing showers before departure.

Our room, advertised as "royal mayan bungalow" was basically a motel room, hugely over-priced; carpet was stained, toilet did not work properly, AND there was a dead frog on the floor. As for the restaurant, mediocre food at very inflated prices.

Nos dieron una habitación que no funcionaba el aire y aparte muy lejo, no habia buen control y no servia sus terminales, cobran el desayuno buffete 347 y el alimento se termina muy rapido.

me gusto su ubicación junto a las ruinas de Uxmal. La atención del personal. que con pocos recursos tratan que los huéspedes estemos contentos. No hay suficiente señal de internet... estuve dos días sin datos. sin teléfono y sin televisión.

The staff was very very nice. Luis gave us a wonderful tour of the Lodge’s ‘sister’ hacienda - & lots of their fruit, and he arranged a guide for the Uxmal site. Restaurant staff was great. The atmosphere is quite constructed - something closer to the original environment might have been closer to my taste; but this is very easy to settle into

Amazing beautiful place in the country side of Uxmal. Beautiful resort and very quiet. The only bad thing was the bar tender was a bit of an ass, every other worked was super polite and willing to help you out for whatever you need.

Mejor stencion al check inn y check out

The lodge was exactly what we wanted, a place to stay on the edge of Uxmal that allowed us easy access to the site. The staff is well trained and caring. The concierge whose name I think is Luis hooked us up with the wonderful guide Wilbert. All good memories from this place.

We had a fabulous time, We went for the ruins but discovered so much more, at the advice of or concierge and new friend Louis ‘Rex’ Chan we went on the Land Rover tour, which ended up being one of the highlights of our 24 days on the Yucatan, Rex’s knowledge of the history of the property was fantastic, his pride in the history and culture of his Mayan heritage came through. we had a truly once in a lifetime adventure..
