The outside lock to parking was broken and no key needed to enter building. Room that was not cleaned from the previous guest. Pile of trash in the middle of the room, dirty linens, kitchenette had rusty appliances. Phone in room has debris all over it and buttons broken. Room was in major need of deep cleaning overall. Immediately went to front desk to check out. Did not feel safe staying there with kids. This place also has long-term tenants. Group of men drinking beers out car trunk near front desk entrance. Worried about personal safety, as well as health code violations that could make us sick. Avoid this place at all costs.

Traveler beware - party in parking lot arrived at midnight still going when we decided at 4am after bei ng on the phone with the front desk to drive the 3hrs back home and not stay in this place, room filled with , call front deck (oh yeah no phones in room) no support or concern even though we felt unsafe. Room smelled like old cigarette smoke, very out dated, staff beyond unprofessional

Location is very accessible to highway I85 and Concord Mills Parkway. Lots of places to eat. Front desk clerk very nice. ….. The lobby floor was filthy. The carpets on the hallway appear that had not been cleaned for a week. Elevator floor and walls dirty and all marked up with scratches. Lots of noise on the hallway. Garbage bags outside rooms. Room kitchen counter with broken pieces. Inside of microwave dirty. walls around bathroom fixtures were patched up instead of fixed properly. Paint drops on floors and bathroom safety bars. The place felt like a low income apartment project. Ran down. Room had no ironing board nor iron. When I asked for one. the front desk gave me a broken iron that leaked water.

Hotel entrance is locked after 10:00pm, you have to wait at the door until someone shows up at the front desk, no way to call to them. Floors were dirty, counter space in bathroom extremely small, no lock on bathroom door. Beds were uncomfortable, A/C was noisy and cycled off/on which made it hard to sleep. Sketchy individuals roaming around the front entry, didn't feel safe. Book here as a last resort.

Location/proximity to my event and kichenette was a plus. Downside was the smell and cleanliness. That floor hasn't seen a broom or mop in a LONG time. The first thing that hit me when I entered the lobby to check in was the smell of marijuana. I was on the 3rd (top) floor in a no smoking room and kept getting overwhelmed by the smell of cigarettes and marijuana.

Property is absolutely not as shown. Run down old place with some schetchy residents. Outside is ok but inside is poorly maintained and carpet is filthy. It is more of a flop house than hotel.

No food options besides vending machine. Pool closed. Staff was friendly and efficient. Rooms were damaged and out of date. Ceiling parts were falling down in one of the rooms. Toilet in other room wouldn't stop running.

I understand this is an older place but the window leaked. Pillows got wet on the bottom during the night. Could have been cleaner. Smelled like it has been wet for awhile

Do not waste your money here....this is less than a 1 star hotel. I checked in around 4 pm and checked out at 7 pm the same day. It was dirty, burn marks on the bathroom sink, floors were filthy, & looked run down and small...nothing like I thought based on reading the reviews! It's a trick, dont trust any reviews that say this place is a good choice! False advertisement!!

The entire building smelled of smoke and marijuanna. The hall floors hadn't been vacuumed in who knows how long. There was chipped and peeling paint everywhere. Cockroaches and other bugs in the room. The only thing I was sure was clean was the fridge. If I had any other choice, I would have left.

Have have stayed in several hotels, I will say that this hotel was the dirtiest one have ever stay in. There was a roach smash on the wall and was not cleaned off, I also killed one on the floor. The room it self was very nasty. I will never stay at this named hotel ever again. I will stay in my truck, before I would stay in this named hotel.

The room was filthy. Roach eggs on the floor. Crumbs and food sticking to floors and tables. Hair all over the sheets and nightstand. Room was old and smelling like mold. Paid $74.00 for one night and I didnt have take a shower because of cleanliness. Manager kept saying she was short on housekeepers.

Had a spider on my bed within 5 minutes of walking in, was a baby spider and probably because the window didn't have a screen. The AC unit didn't have an accurate thermometer but it did work! Tv seemed messed up too, would dim for no reason. Staff was friendly, a lot of necessary stuff nearby like Walmart, restaurants gas etc so location very convenient. The bed was comfy and the kitchen stuff worked. Place reeked of weed, but that didn't really bother me, my room itself didn't get overwhelmed by it. Could hear neighbors walking above but overall it was fine, good enough to be comfortable and not pissed off but not ideal lol....

This is a typical budget hotel, so I wasnt expecting much. However it did exceed my expectations. It was generally clean with well laundered linen. There was plenty of hot water, and the staff particularly Hazel were helpful. She gave a lovely welcome. The room was large, the bed I used was comfortable and the microwave was relatively new compared to the other appliances in the room though hadn't been cleaned after the previous occupant. It had been refurbished and that was fine except for the built up grime around the taps [fawcets] etc. Hole in drapes. The air con was noisy and dirty. Luckily I was there at a time when the nights were cool so didnt need it on. There was no floor covering in the hallways to deaden any passing noise but it was generally quieter than I expected though this was not a 'sports weekend'. There were traces of builders streaks in the elevator [lift] and on stairs which could easily have been wiped away. I would stay there again, as it is good value for money, and I was out most of the day, but best to keep expectations low.

I had to pay 60 dollars to check into an already clean room like 2-3 hours early. No room service, you had to take your towels up to the service desk to get more. The morning of due to work I asked to pay a late fee so I could come back and pick my family up. No, I couldn’t do that. Most hotels are either gracious or allow you to pay a late fee. Not this one! Also the morning of we tried to get new towels to wash up before work and hitting the road instantly told no because we were checking out at 11. So I asked could we not clean up before we leave he responded “I normally don’t do this but for you this time I will!” Wow! So bring your own towels or go home dirty the morning of checkout! I tried to get my patients settled and rushed to get my mom and children before 11, ran a few minutes behind at 11:08 they were put outside so the room could get cleaned for someone else. Which I totally understand. After a weeks stay it just wasn’t family friendly or work friendly for me! Where was this cleaning crew all week, they only appear on move out day.

The front desk staff was very professional very helpful admit all of my needs especially Shalyce and Shane. I inadvertently left my charging apparatus for all my electronics in the room came back 24 hours later they had it locked up in a baggie in a safe very professional.

I was at an event that ran late. During the event there was an attempt to charge my card. It was declined. When i booked the hotel i chose the option to "Pay when I get there" and i had not made it to the hotel at all before the event. I responded to the email about the declined charge and said i would pay when i check in. Got to the hotel and the clerk tells me "someone received the response but the hotel cancelled" the one night reservation. They had no rooms and my friend and i had to drive 4 hours home in the middle of the night.

They canceled our reservation without notice. The staff on the front desk are rude and won't listen to explanation about anything. Just shrugged her shoulders and said not her problem. We think they could get more money from someone else so they canceled our. Very rude and don't care about customers. The place has a smell as well. the landscapers were making a mess outside and didn't care if they were blowing cuttings to customer cars. Not a place I would ever book again and wouldn't recommend the Red Roof Inn to any one.

Check in was at 3:00, I started check in at 2:50. When I paid my$50 deposit on the room, I was told my room would be ready in 15 minutes. I waited 30 minutes before going to my room and nothing was ready. No linens, table/counters were not cleaned and the floor was still dirty. I went back to the front desk and asked for another room. They had to verify if it was okay to give me and my 2 children a room to check into since another party hadn't arrived. That took another 30 minutes. We had somewhere to be at 4:00 SHARP. We received another room, when we got inside our 2nd room, the beds were very hard, 2 towels for 1 adult and 2 children (which was stated on my reservation), no batteries in the A/C remote, the hot water for the shower took 3-5 minutes to heat up, and multiple times we called the front desk to inform them of the people above us making so much noise and stomping that it was shaking the light fixtures and pictures on the wall. I am EXTREMELY disappointed and will not be staying at this location again. Which is very disheartening because it was convenient to our destination, but not family/customer friendly at all. Along with the other issues, I had to take the trash out, get my own replacement towels, rags (etc.) and the vending machine took my change when we went later at night. This was by far the worst experience I have had staying at a hotel.

We were halfway through a 2 hour drive to see the racing at zMax when the hotel called and cancelled our booking. We had to scramble to find a different hotel. Very poor performance.

The hotel was very close to where i wanted to be. Convenient to all restaurants, shopping, gas or anything you needed. The staff were pleasant, helpful,and available when I needed them. The hotel is very short staffed, very outdated and needs cleaning but the price was right, and it was a place to sleep.

Hi there, My stay was terrible due to the fact that the room doesn’t accommodate anything from no iron no coffee no dish soap no dishes. No room service and in order to get clean towels you have to turn in your used towels.. I will never stay here or recommend this hotel.

Very unsafe area, no coffee pots in room or available anywhere (blamed on covid), this was our last night of a 6 night vacation staying somewhere different each night and this was only one that didn’t have coffee! Bed was very uncomfortable. We were in a room downstairs around corner from where you check in and there was a door that went outside to pool area. People were in and out all night banging door and talking loudly. Could not sleep anyway because of hard bed. People hung out in parking lot all night in small groups. Did not like having my car out there. Was told they house the homeless and drug addicts for extended periods. I dont know if this is true but I tend to believe it from what I saw. Do not recommend at all! Only positive thing was somewhat clean and hostess who checked us in was friendly and nice !

We stayed here because it was close to Charlotte Motor Speedway and I know you get what you pay for but this place was DIRTY...it was gross. No housekeeping without 24 hours notice and maybe no one ever requested it. The sheets were clean and the toilet but I wouldn't walk barefoot on the floors. It had a kitchenette but not one utensil or plate/glass etc. The only thing I can say good about this place is the location because everything was close. Next time i'll pay triple the price because I wouldn't stay there if you paid me

This facility was old & well worn! Biggest complaint was a very dirty floor which the staff couldn't seem to get clean but I had no problem when I used one of their hand towels. We slept well & I was glad to have a little kitchen which I used several times during our stay. FYI, you must bring your own dishes, pots & pans, etc. They charge a hefty deposit which I had to call them to get it back. Positive! I left a "pitcher" in the cabinet as I was met at the door at checkout time & hurried out. ( A first). They did hold on to the pitcher until I could make arrangements for it to be picked up by a friend in the area.

This is s clean but stark property. Kitchens but no utensils, pots, pans, anything really except hand soap and towels. No shampoo or coffee or coffee makers. Nothing. Reminded me of a Woodspring Suites. Where I won't be staying again either.
