My only complaint was paying $26 a night for parking. I would have parked across the street in free parking had I known. I self parked in the hotel garage. I was there less than 24 hours and had to pay $52 for parking my own car.

This was my second year in a row we stayed for a weeklong event. Both years there were issues with working elevators. I can overlook one year as maintenance issues happen, however two years in a row is a problem. The concern of safety with only one elevator working is alarming.

Two of the four available elevators were inoperable during my stay. This dramatically increased the wait times for movement between floors which was very inconvenient; particularly for those guests trying to squeeze in as much fun as possible during a weekend visit. Hilton needs to do better with its infrastructure maintenance.

Hotel is in a good area. Walking distance to Country Club Plaza. Hotel seemed clean. Needs a little updating in lobby area. Room was very nice. Pool was outdoor and indoor but nothing major to look at. The major issue was elevator. They have two but only 1 worked. Stairs were not great to get to rooms. We were on the 14th floor and someone told us the stairs do not go all the way down to lobby. It took anywhere from 1 min to 20 minutes to get a free elevator to ride up. We were on a higher floor so we usually caught it down on the first time. elevator would also go up a few floors then never go all the way to the top button and head down to start over again, opening to people waiting to get on with a full elevator. It was very frustrating.

Nice hotel. The pool was closed because of a chemical proble, which was the only reason we went there. So the kids didn’t get to swim, and we just hung out in a hotel room for no reason.

For choosing to stay at a higher-end Hilton hotel, and spending a good amount of money per night, the rooms were not very clean. I have nothing against a pet friendly hotel (as we have dogs we sometimes travel with) but there was quite a bit of dog food and dog hair found in our room. As well as human food. Rooms were not vacuumed or cleaned very well. Hair was in the shower. Just not clean overall. Not to mention having to pay almost $30/day just to park and $18/meal for breakfast (those may be my fault for not doing a little more research) but when I’m spending almost $200/night for a nice hotel, I don’t want to have to pay for parking if I’m parking the vehicle myself. And on-top of all else, expect a clean room especially with little kids being there.

The location is great, and it was really nice to have valet right there (the valet staff was stellar). Front desk and restaurant were very friendly, as well. The room itself had a great layout, very clean and overall comfortable. There were a couple of issues that I noticed - there was something weird and gross stuck to the ceiling over my bed, but the staff cleaned it up fairly quickly. (A towel was left on my bed where I assume someone stood to clean it up.) Additionally, the water pressure for the shower is abysmal, and the sink took 5-10 minutes to drain after you wash your face or brush your teeth. It would have been nice to have a complimentary breakfast in the morning like the place across the street, but it wasn't a big deal for this stay. Overall, the staff and location were really great, I'd stay again since they were so responsive.

We had to switch rooms due to a tick and blood on our bed. We also needed a new refrigerator. Then, when we got to our new room, there was a big clump of hair on the bathroom floor. Lobby and other facilities looked pretty good. One staff member was excellent and moved us and got us free breakfast right away. Other staff member told me that “maybe we can’t meet your accommodations and can help you find another hotel.” This was frustrating as well. I didn’t want to move, I just wanted a clean room. Overall very disappointed in our rooms but the rest of the hotel seemed nice.

We found trash and a dirty sock in the room. The water pressure in the shower was terrible. We booked a room for 3 people but were only given 2 washcloths and then we were given a hand towel when we asked for more. The windows were so drafty that we had to turn the heat up pretty high. We decided to eat at the hotel restaurant the first night and were told it would be over an hour and a half before our party of 7 could be seated but there were plenty of open tables. We couldn’t push 2 tables together but were allowed to be seated right away if we split our party up. Keep in mind there was one waitress so it wasn’t like staffing was the reason and there was a party of 6 already seated.

The pool was visibly dirty and also cloudy. The indoor pool room smelled bad. Our room seemed pretty clean other than some stray hair in the shower, until we realized there was a very large spill(?) soaked into the carpet between the bed and bathroom. The staff was apologetic about it and it wasn’t noticeable with shoes on so I can see how they may have missed it, but still gross.

Location was great. We walked everywhere. The room was just ok. The windows were pretty dirty with lots of handprints. The shower wouldn’t shut off completely and it was hard to listen to all night. Not bad overall just not as good as we expected from a Hilton.

The rooms AC/heater only blew out hot air. We called to get it fixed and he said he would and then never showed. Thankfully the windows opened a bit and we were able to keep them open all night. Otherwise it wouldve been terribly hot. The mini fridge wasnt cold.

Great stay!! We will definitely be staying here again for our next Chiefs game. Love the plaza area and everything it has to offer. Everything was great from start to finish. Hotel staff is very welcoming and friendly. Hotel was clean and comfortable and the room design is really nice having two “separate “ rooms. Highly recommend.

The breakfast was ridiculous. $25 for a continental breakfast that was not that great. The room was clean, but the toilet never flushed properly, we had to hold the handle down to get it to flush and by the end of our stay, that didn’t even work. The A/C quit working so our room was over 80 degrees when we got back. The valet staff was friendly even though we didn’t use them, they were extremely kind and helpful.

room 417 was good. the cover for the ac/heater fell off the wall first night with a crash at 3am! scared the crap out of my wife and i. the thing needs a good cleaning, dust was pretty thick in unit. shower definitely leaks everywhere while showering, all in all the hotel was great with pool to enjoy 80 degree weather while in town!

The staff did not let us know that they only had one working elevator upon check-in. We had to move rooms due to heat not working in our first room. We had to go down to the front desk ourselves to exchange rooms. This is a huge hotel to only have one elevator and waiting 25 minutes to get on an elevator is unexceptable. Not to mention the hallways were extremely hot. The restaurant service was horrible in the morning, our waiter never once checked on us, no water no "how is everything " the only thing he did was bring our ticket. Another waiter helped us only after we waved him down. I would not recommend this hotel. Upon check out when we let them know we had to wait for 30 minutes for the elevator not even a sorry. Not, how was your stay, thank you come again NOTHING. one thing good I can say is the valet parking was phenomenal. Always courteous and friendly. But this was a third party PCM. We visit KC often and the location of this hotel is perfect, but we wouldn't stay again.

Great location for a Kansas City getaway! Located in the heart of the Plaza, it offers loads of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Best hotel staff I’ve encountered in a long time ~ so refreshing! And the bellmen were top notch! Both Randall and Jermaine went above & beyond. I can recommend this hotel without reservation :)

Decent hotel, but night service staff was terrible. We called the hotel on our way knowing we were going to be checking in late (1:00am) with three children, one being an infant needing a crib. Upon getting to the room, there was no crib. I called the front desk and they told me that no housekeeping personnel was present and wouldn’t be until 8:00am. The employee told me they would not be able to fulfill my request even though we had called many hours before to request it. The next day we woke up and got ready and phoned down again, asking for the crib. They advised they would bring one up while we went out on our adventures for the day. We did not return until 11:00pm and once again. There was no crib. Upon calling down again, it was the same story. No one was there to bring us a crib. Their excuse was they got busy and couldn’t complete the request. Our infant spent the first two nights on a makeshift bed on the floor. The third day we finally received a crib it was dirty, did not provide crib sheets. Our friends also traveled with us, there air conditioning was not working and their room was incredibly hot. This was also never fixed and they said the hotel was booked to capacity and there was anything they could do. In our downtime they had to hang out in our room since their room was unbearable to be in during the day. This is not a below average hotel and we paid over $200 a night for this hotel in a nice area, but our stay was really poor due to these issues.

Property/room overall were nice (besides the pocket door to the bathroom being stuck open, which is unfortunate because the toilet is so close to the bed). My middling review stems from the general rudeness I received from the staff when I called to ask some questions about booking the room. After insulting my intelligence, the man at the front desk then transfered me to another person who demanded I give them my name and phone number, and after I complied they hung up on me abruptly. This was all very odd behavior from hospitality staff. I also informed the front desk that the pocket door was not functioning and was told that they would send someone up to fix it, but no one ever showed up.

Yes everything was lovely. Great for leisure time. It was about 15 minutes from Royals and Chiefs stadium. If you love to eat and shop this is the area. Everything was in walking distance. Hotel was exceptional. Valet parking and rooms were very clean. When I visit again I will be staying in this area again. Thanks for the good time KC.

This is my third time staying at this Hilton. The location in the Plaza is walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean. Very happy with our 5 day stay! Clean and love the location. The breakfast was VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! Paid the extra money each day to have breakfast included, it was the same nasty food each morning. No pancakes, waffles, or biscuits and gravy. Running eggs, sausage or ham, and mixed veggies every morning. We are NOT picky eaters at all but it was NOT worth the money. Go somewhere else for breakfast.

Hotel didn’t really come up to expectations. Room was fine, service was good apart from one gentleman at reception who seemed to be in management, sullen and unhelpful to say the least. Breakfast was ok, hot food was never hot even when complained didn’t change, nothing under food containers to keep food hot and very limited choice. Cold buffet much better. Paid extra when booking for breakfast but was told could not choose from menu only buffet, even although I paid enough to cover anything provided on menu. Hotel has a good pool and is in a great area, but unfortunately I would choose somewhere else next time.

We arrived for a weekend for a concert- myself and my two teen children. Location wise, this location is great! Country Club Plaza has great shopping, dining and all within walking distance. However, the shops close at 7pm and the only downside to the dining is if you’re looking for a quick bite you are limited to Shake Shack. The price for parking is insane considering the price of the rooms - no breakfast and a less than par store to buy drinks or snacks. The pool had few chairs for the amount of guests, people were trying to communicate with the staff and she understood o English to help find cushions for the chairs. We did place an order of chicken strips and fries with a bottle of water (room service) ~ imagine my surprise when the bill was $32.00!!! Door dash would have been cheaper. Pulled out the hide a bed and the sheet on there was dirty. I called to the front desk and told them and they brought us clean bedding. Guessing the prior guests made the couch and the maid never bothered to check the couch- GROSS!! And if you see that 3 people are staying in a hotel room, please provide more than 3 towels. I don’t know why that isn’t standard practice. We reuse them but need more than one (just the girls) No, we will not stay here again…… I’ll pay a little extra and get a free breakfast at least and happy hour over at Embassy Suites.
