Front desk morning was on a call and wouldn’t look up. 1 elevator was super small, buttons broken. Check in was a breeze in the evening.

The staff here were great! Decent breakfast options, clean rooms, and common areas. The only downfall for us was the pool was out of order, but You could tell they were having major renovations done to it. Great location as well.I would definitely stay here again!

Parking was scarce. The room had a few broken items that we made sure to let front desk know about. The iron ended up staining my dress. I checked it before using but the back was dark I guess as it heated up the previous person who used it didn’t clean it, my green dress turned pink stains. Breakfast was decent. Staff was very friendly & helpful during breakfast.

The hotel is nicer on the outside than inside. Pool was broken, I thought there was a gym but never found it. The room was dirty (dried brown residue on toilet seat), the light in the bathroom wouldn’t turn off and was always hot in there, and two of the room lights were nonfunctional.

We really enjoyed our stay. The people at the front desk were great. One gentleman was training another. The man doing the training was so friendly and funny, so we felt right at home. I didn't get to talk to the guy he was training very much, but he was also very kind. I didn't give a full five stars due to a w minor inconveniences. The biggest inconvenience has to do with electrical stuff. The room phone didn't work so I couldn't call the front desk from the room. In addition to this, the outlets were quite worn out, so our chargers really struggled to stay in them. We have basic charging blocks, but they were still too heavy for the loose outlets. Thirdly, the bedside lamps would flicker quite a bit for long periods of time. Really not that big of a deal --except I had to convince my littles that the hotel wasn't *actually* haunted. The only other minor inconvenience was the main elevator going out. We were on the 5th floor and, while they did put an 'Out of Service' sign up, they didn't include any information about there being another elevator at the end of the building. They told me after I inquired about how long it would be until it would be in service again. So, those were the downsides, but the hotel felt very safe to me, it was clean and comfy. The pillows were fluffy and the beds were great. I slept like a baby. I would definitely stay again.

We would come back. The breakfast was good, the room was clean, and the staff were very friendly. One of the staff went over and beyond to help us. The alarm went off due to someone burning something, at least we know their fire alarm works. The only thing I do recommend is updating the property. Our toilet really needs to be updated, rust all over the bolts on the seat, and the tub needs to be painted.

beds were nice and rooms looked clean and spacious. ac in most areas of the hotel appeared to not work. our room especially ac was no good. we were unaware the pool was closed at the time of our stay.

Parking was extremely tight. Our air conditioner made a loud humming sound all night. Between the air conditioner and the very noisy room above us, we left at 4 am. Would definitely NOT recommend this hotel.

I was unhappy with the conditions of the linens. The sheets were stained and the towels as well. The towels had areas which were hard not sure if they were burnt but they felt nasty. The room had a terrible odor to it the carpets looked dirty as well. If it had not been so late at night and my children weren’t so tired I would have left without the refund.

Huge roach problem

The pictures on Expedia DO NOT match what you will see in person. First, the parking lot is not well lit, people were hanging around smoking near the door of the hotel, even the entrance of the door right at the threshold was dirty and dingy and set the tone for what I should’ve expected. The front desk clerk was nice but that was the one and only good thing. The lobby is old looking and not appealing, the room was nice sized but it was filthy. I didn’t even want to sit my bag down so I held everything in my hand. When I looked at the bed I immediately saw big dirty stains, the shade thing on the window wouldn’t move so even if I stayed I wouldn’t be able to put it down. I didn’t stay longer than 5 minutes. I immediately returned the key and left and checked my stuff for bedbugs. That hotel made me feel dirty.

Disgusting! The room was dirty, there were stains on the pull out bed that looked like melted crayons or tie dye, little spots on the comforters that looked like drops of blood. We slept with no covers on. The bench was ripped up. The shower had stains.

The room isn’t very clean. There was a cockroach in the elevator.

It was very unfortunate how dirty the rooms were because the location is perfect. You have dining and activities right nearby. The rooms however were disgusting. I found mold in the mini refrigerator and on the lamp shade. The bed sheets were also dirty and the couch had a massive hole in it.

This property needs a lot of repairs The shower was leaking all night. We reported it but it was never repaired. There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the hallways and marijuana smoke in the lobby

The first night we arrived to our room the heat was not working, so the guest service moved us, he was very nice and polite about it. Got to the new room and there was roaches everywhere in behind the refrigerator, so n the cabinets and shelves n the bathroom. I asked the front desk for some spray because it was bad, immediately after I spray the roaches was coming out so bad. The toilet was backed up we had to go asked for a plugger at the front desk. I don’t sleep well because the roaches and I have small children with me. Glad to be out of there, I really need to be refunded. I only took a couple of pictures. The rooms are nasty and need to be clean, the housekeepers didn’t clean our room even when asked too, tub was nasty thank God I brought me own cleaning supplies.

The hotel was in a good location with restaurants and the mall close by; however, the hotel smelled like cigarettes as soon as you walked in. My non-smoking room also smelled like cigarettes. The guy that initially checked me in at the front desk seemed like he couldn't have cared less about his job and definitely didn't have the sense of hospitality I feel that you should have when checking into a hotel. My room was missing a shower curtain and the microwave did not work. This hotel could definitely benefit from some upgrading and a good deep clean to get out the smell of cigarettes that seems to permeate through the whole building and rooms.

The room was in terrible condition ! It smelled of cigarette smoke, despite the claim of it being a 100% smoke free property. The microwave was so dirty it could not be used. In addition, the doors all had sticky spots all over them. Lastly, the phone was so dirty we would not touch it. I am extremely disappointed in our stay ! If we had not checked in so late in the evening we absolutely would have left immediately. I was thankful the sheets appeared to be clean.

The room was clean and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The bed pillows were small and square. I asked at the front desk for additional pillows and we were given 2 brand new standard size pillows. We did have a constant drip in our tub/shower. The common breakfast area in the lobby could use some new chairs as they were very worn. Overall, the stay was fine for a couple of nights.

I didn’t sleep just because the AC made a lot of noise.

This was not a great experience. It was okay but just. The crowd was pretty bad. Some weirdos roaming around. I didn't feel all that safe at times. The room was small and especially the bathroom was very crampted. There was no luggage cart available when I went to check out. They had all mysteriously vanisned for an extended period of time. Had to use a laundry hamper with broken wheels with the desk chair. Pretty awful. Oh and I didn't mention the prostitute...

The property was clean but it was old and tired. The staff was friendly. The couch in my room had a tear in it and the bathroom didn't have a fan and could use the updating.

The main part of the room was fine and clean. The bathroom was probably the smallest I have seen and was getting well worn. Hallway was often smelly and not the cleanest. Desk service was not very good. If you have a maintenance issue, you are out of luck. Planning to stay elsewhere next time.

Hotel is run down. Our room: *Torn carpet *Cracked toilet tank cover *Ripped curtains *Burned out light bulbs - 2 *Heating unit cover broken off *Scratches and dents in ALL of the furniture

We have stayed at this location several times and enjoyed it. This time there were problems. The heater made a loud noise any time it came on. The smoke detector went off erratically. The commode seat was barely hanging on. However, the beds were amazing.

The hotel is ok for the price. It’s a bit outdated but I guess it’s fair for the price.

Staff was beyond amazing!

When my family checked in, we were greeted by Jeffery. He was very welcoming and made sure we were taken care of at check-in. Also, it was nice, after a travel day and long day at Carowinds, to have the pull out sofa already turned down. I personally thanked the housekeeper for doing this. We stay in numerous hotels across the country and this was the first time this was done. We will definitely return!

The manager on call was so nasty and rude. She handed me a plunger and told me to fix my own toilet because I over flowed it! Her words , she also told me she would put me out with a 2 year old at 1am!!!!

The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The building is dated but the price is a great value.

Upon arrival, we were given a room that reeked of old cigarettes (non-smoking room). I spoke to the front desk, and he was more than willing to move us. However, around 10pm there was a bang at our door. The room we were moved to was apparently assigned to another guest who was attempting to get in. We spoke through a closed door and he was going to speak with the front desk agent to get re-roomed. We were asleep around 11pm with two children and there was another knock at the door. We spoke again through a closed door and it was another person (employee?) who was questioning the room assignment. This was completely uncalled for, as it scared us and the kids. On top of the overall smell of old cigarettes throughout the hotel, and the inappropriateness of the knocking TWICE at the door, the room was old, dingy, in desperate need of updating and did not overwhelm us with cleanliness. Will be speaking to corporate about our experiences.

Conveniently located with plenty of food and shopping options. Staff at front desk not friendly at all. We stayed 2 nights and not one person even acknowledged our existence. Check in guy very rude. Said we should’ve given a courtesy call because we were late and when I said we did call he said well you didn’t talk to me and repeated courtesy call would be appreciated .

Check in was smooth. I was impressed more by the way staff helped person ahead of me too!

The hotel was quiet. The bathroom water backed up and I called front desk and told him of the problem and he said I would have to fix it myself - he brought me a plunger. Told me if it wouldn't fix it I would get a new room. I asked for a new room - NO ROOMS - when I said I'd call corporate he found me a room. I changed rooms at 1130 PM after being away all day. The service man knocked on the door while my daughter dressed and announced he had a new TV. for the room. Did not know he was coming. He and the front desk manager were friendly and kind.

Location to shops and close proximity to Charlotte

This property was a big upgrade from the hotel chain I originally booked my stay with. The staff was friendly, the parking lot well lit and the hotel is in walking distance from the mall and a shopping center. Overall my stay was comfortable

Everything was perfect as usual except for a empty kleenex box in the bathroom. And no hot breskfasrmt item on the day we checked out. Apparently the girl who was suupossed to do it never showed. Still is my favirite pkace iyt of the other 7 or so places around that area.
