Comfort Inn & Suites Jasper Hwy 78 West

The elevator was broken and the ice machine on the first floor was broken. I have a bad knee. It was hard to walk up the stairs. The water pressure in the bathroom was very low. The sink didn’t have hot water

This property is very outdated. The staff was good and helpful. The pool wasn’t filled due to needing maintenance. The ice machine was broken but you could go to the front desk and get ice. The two rooms I booked had horrible smells and were very musty. One of our rooms didn’t have a smoke detector and you could see where it was taken down. My son’s feet were black from walking barefoot in the room. Overall it just felt very dirty.

This property needs updated bad, alot of things are very old and needs repaired. TV and wifi were great. Breakfast food needs updated and milk should be in individual cartons for health reasons. Fruit was very old and dry. Loud noise with semi that was a cold food truck that ran all night and that should not be allowed because guest are trying to sleep. We were moved on the other side and was very grateful for that.

Pool was empty and damaged. Treadmill was out of order. Building looked in need of upkeep. People sitting out back smoking weed the whole time. Breakfast was good. Room was okay. Overall not the standard I expected from Comfort Inn and Suited.

I have stayed at this property many times. In the past, its been a very well maintained, clean and quiet stay. This time 1 of the 2 rooms had sticky carpet, the door jam had missing peices, fridge unplugged and a towel in it, and a stream of rain pouring in the lobby. Very disappointing. The time before I stayed the room had a musty smell. I thought maybe it was a fluke. I guess not.

The only things is that we had NO ice and No person to check us out.

Peaceful. The pool is outdoors, in case you were wondering. Good place to spend night on way to FL.

We have never stayed in such an awful hotel room. The beds weren't bad, sheets were clean and it was comfortable. The door knobs were about to fall off. The walls need painted badly. The rooms were dimly lit. The couch needed to be trashed. It was nasty dirty and was not comfortable to sleep on at all. There was rust on the bathroom door frame, cracks in the shower surround that had been puttied. There may have been some sort of floor damage as it went down hill toward the bathroom and then the floor creaked around the toilet. There was black on the ceiling above the sink... maybe mold?! The trim was missing in places. The "kitchen" area cabinet needed replaced the cabinet was not all painted and had badly applied contact paper. There was rust around the ceiling sprinklers. The room had some kind of funky humidity that made everything feel a bit damp and the carpet... we didn't touch the carpet unless we had shoes on. I have never typed a bad review for a hotel. The reviews had a 8.2, but this was not an 8.2 room by any stretch of the imagination. This is just not at all the quality we expected from a Comfort Inn.

Our room had a bit of a musty smell - and there was a portable dehumidifier in the room, though it was not plugged in. The room was clean but some of the furnishings were clearly dated (a few minor scuffs).

When our family arrived in our room it smelled like wet laundry. There was visible mold in the bathroom and water damage all over the hotel. The lady at the desk was very kind. There was no way we could have our kids stay the night. We left messages for the manager, left and continued driving. A few weeks later, we called back hoping for a refund. The manager called back, said "no refund because its been too long" as fast as she cohld and hung up before i could say a word. She had not previously called back from the messages on her desk. Hotel s dot com had great reviews on the place. If we had looked at google reviews, we never would have even considered booking a room here. The place should be torn down and rebuilt.

Hotel is clean but dated. Grass outside was not mowed. Cookies upon check in were great! Staff was friendly.

Staff was friendly and welcoming. We found multiple pieces of hair and a toenail in the bathroom. The showers had major staining and damage. The worst part was finding what looked like feces on the mattress for the pull-out bed, which was needed for our family. Staff was apologetic and did what was able to be done to remedy the problem. Beds were very comfortable. Despite hotel being completely full, it was very quiet the entire time.

Room smelled moldy when we first walked in. The smell went away after a few hours.

Would not recommend staying here. There was no working ice machine, the rooms smelled very musty, several doors had been propped open for some reason and others had no doors or door knobs were missing, paper thin walls, I could go on. We arrived late and just stayed one night traveling home but I would not do it again.

We stay in Jasper every two years while on a roadtrip to visit family. This is one hotel where a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children) can stay in one room together. The rate varies each time, but i would say its pretty average cost. 120 to 150. Queen beds are comfortable, a/c is always nice and cold, shower is always hot with decent pressure, the free breakfast is always a plus. They always give us a bag of bedding for the pull out couch without having to ask for it, which i really like. The rooms are very spacious even with the pull out bed being out. We have never tried the pool, so i can't comment on that. It is not far from many different restaurants and stores. Walmart is right down the road if you need a basic item. It could use some updates/repairs but none of that effected our stay. I would recommend staying at this location to others and will likely stay here again when we go back that direction.

Everything was great except the ac was ridiculously loud and I think a garbage truck outside in the middle of the night also woke us up. Staff were great. Room was huge and nice!

Only reason I gave it 4 stars is because my office chair was broken. I turned around to watch the have and the caster fell off. They have a policy that says if the person lives less than 50 miles away a 150 dollar cash deposit is due. People are throwing parties and trashing rooms. The front desk manager called someone and they got it waived for me. I would stay there again.

We had puke on one of our pillows. I went down to get all of the sheets changed and she was not very friendly about getting me new linens.

Front desk clerk was rude and condescending. Be very careful this hotel is trying to scam people. Also the area around and inside lobby looked dirty and unkept. Grass was high and hotel looked rundown. The lobby smelled like weed. The hotel looked like a good filming location for a haunted house. I would highly advise not ever staying here.

There were storms in the area, alot of people was without power so the hotel was slammed with people trying to check in, we saw 1 person working, she was getting frustrated cause so many people trying to check in and no one there to help her, luckily we got hecked in before it got so bad and didn' have to wait but about 10 minutes to check in but when we got to our room the remote for the tv was not in the room, we went back to the desk, she said the had some come in but would be about an hour before she could go get it, about 30 minute's later we went back down to the desk, there was 7 people waiting to check in so we waited downstairs about 35 minutes waiting on the line to decrease, when there was 2 people in line I got in line, when I finally got to the desk I told her I knew she was busy but could she get us a remote, she asked what room we was in, I told her, she said to let her check in the people behind me then she' go upstairs and get a remote then she said wait I have one that might work and handed me a remote from under the counter, we took it up to our room and it did work, we waited almost 2 hours for a remote while she had one there with her the entire time. Went down for breakfast the next morning, there was a remote laying outside our door...went on down for breakfast but didn' get anything, they didn' have much to offer so we left and went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Very friendly. Attentive. Easy check in.

The staff was very unfriendly and unhelpful. I hate to say that it was a racist area and that probably attributed to the feelings of unwelcomeness. The room was dirty and muggy feeling with an old sock sticking not even halfway from under the couch. The pullout was completely broken and sunken in. There was a random set of someone's car keys in the couch and someone's bottle of nitroglycerin heart medication under the table. Horrible conditions.

We stay here on our way to see our daughter that lives in Arkansas. This is our almost half waypoint. Beds are always comfortable.

We had to wait for the breakfast bar to be restocked. The food was good. The staff restocking the bar was a bit slow to notice that things had run out. The property appears to be aging: needs wallpaper repair or replacement, etc.
