Holiday Inn Louisville East - Hurstbourne by IHG

Dee was the morning front desk staff and she was soooooo nice and helpful. She went above and beyond to assist me. I needed a little extra time to curl my hair and she allowed me to do so before my check-out. When I got to the lobby she gave me a water and make-up wipe to go. THANK YOU DEE!!!!! FOR GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND.

Was fine - acceptable accommodations. Clean

Nice, bathroom just didn’t feel very clean. Check-in was late because cleaning was running behind and it just felt like a rushed clean.

Didn't eat

Every single time I took a shower, I had to use several towels to sop up the water that dripped from the shower curtain to the floor. It was A LOT of water. On Sunday, I took the do not disturb sign off the door when I left at 8:00am for my bowling tournament so the room would be serviced. When I came back around 2:00pm, the wet towels were gone, no new towels were there, and the bed wasn't made. AND, the cabinet door where the refrigerator is was wide open. That means someone HAD top open it on purpose because the door drags on the carpet, so it wouldn't just swing open by itself. Then I left for the banquet I had to attend at 5:30pm. When I came back to the room at 8:30pm, there was no bedding at all on the bed and the towels were STILL not replaced. I had to go down to the desk to get towels and get someone to come make the bed. When I checked out on Monday, I told the front desk about my troubles and all I got was an "I apologize." When I told all of this to one of my team mates, he informed me that when he first checked into his room, his bed wasn't even made and they had to move him to another room. Clearly the people in this hotel don't have a clue what they are doing. Further, I only saw a housekeeper's cart in the hallway ONE time for my whole trip. Except for the flooding after a shower issue, the room itself was sufficient for a bowler staying three days. The service, however, was the worst I have ever experienced at a hotel.
