Super 8 by Wyndham Louisville/Expo Center

It was the week of the NSRA Street Rod Nationals. They charged $841.23 for a single room from Tuesday to Sunday. The rates for the following week from Tuesday to Sunday was listed at $383.00. The single room appears to have been a double and removed 1 of the beds. It is a 4 story hotel, and only had 1 ice machine. The other 3 floors for ice machines had been removed. They room was prepaid, but the charged $60.00 deposit and said it would be returned 2-3 days after check out. Parking was sparse. 4 story hotel, seating for 19 for breakfast. We won't be back.

Very comfortable room with the amenities that i needed, was close to my venue, and VERY. Reasonably priced. I would do it again!

My toilet stopped working, it was fixed later! Cracks in the ceiling, coffee pot nasty ( dirty ), no sitting area inside or outside. I will never return!!!

Property was very dirty, elevator was not working, breakfast amenities were virtually non existent. Check in staff were unfriendly and pre occupied. Would not recommend or stay here again.

Laundry is really old fashioned plus there’s no written amount of how much is laundry. We have no coins at all.

Sketchy people hanging out in parking lot. One group were crushing a case of Modelo. If it wasn’t for that the state was good.

The 3rd floor hallway had a horrible stink. When I mentioned it to the desk he was apologetic and offered to move me to another floor later that day. He even was up spraying that end of the hall. After opening a hall window I decided I didn't need to move. Very nice staff.

The power went out at 4 AM and did not come back on to 6:30 AM. I use a CPAP. i COULD NOT GO BACK YO BED!!! I really want a refund.

Pros - Convenient to KEC. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Room has microwave and larger than normal fridge. I liked that sink area and vanity was separate from shower and toilet. Cons - Our room had a slight odor, especially when we 1st arrived. Breakfast is poor, unless you like cereal, toast or packaged muffins. There is nowhere in the lobby to meet with group of people or work. They close off the breakfast area when done serving. Even though i paid for several rooms for a work event, I wasnt able to pay individual deposits or get receipts for the rooms I didn't occupy.

The place was quiet and no disturbance. Breakfast was good. The only thing i didn't like was the fact that the parking lot wasn't treated as the shlnow was everywhere. I wish it was cleared a little

The hotel has bedbugs, was dirty, and in bad repair. We only stayed one night of the two and the manger did give me a receipt showing they refunded my remaining nights.

First of all, you walk into the building and it stinks, there is no air conditioning, bathroom or lobby to sit in. After checking in, our room smelled like a combination of mouthwash and pine tree sent, that was so overpowering, it hurts your eyes. The place is disgusting and I wouldn't send my worst enemy there. You are lucky if you don't bring home bed bugs or get some type of disease. They sure do advertise and do a good job selling how great this place is but the reality is, it's a cheap motel, with some shady folks! BEWARE!

I had just drove 14 hrs to get here. Shower wall had long black hair on it. I forgo the issue, but when i pulled the comforter off the bed, there were multiple strands of hair on bed sheets. Pillow cases were just sitting on the bed as well. I called the front desk to switch me to another room. He couldn't bring me the key to the other room, so i had to get dressed to go down to get the replacement room key. I said i want to be compensated for the inconvenient. He said he understood, but will have to talk to the manager. When i spoke with the manager the next day, the manager loudly argued with me and refused to offer any kind of compensation. His reasoning is it human error to which i told him its not a customer's problem that his hotel made the error. When i said i had to pack my things to move to a new room, he argued i could have came down to get a cart. DO NOT STAY at this hotel. They even reuse the sleeves for your key card. Elevator has a sign that say ice machine on 2nd and 4th floor. Its only on the 2nd floor. My shampoo tube was 1/2 full which also means its USED!!!

Our room had BED BUGS! Management refuses to refund any money and says "the room is right next to the exit door where pests could get in" I wish i could upload videos to this review and show you. We had 3 babies ages 3 and under that we had to get out at 3am to travel home.This place is a joke!

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff were attentive and friendly. My room and the property in general were very clean and well maintained. Also, the breakfast items offered in the morning were well stocked for the guests.

There are cockroaches and the hotel is not clean at all. When we told the manager about the cockroaches he got very rude and loud.

This is the dirtiest most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. This place can’t even be saved with a renovation. The building needs a complete demo and should close up immediately. It’s so filthy with dirt/dust and mold smell. The bathroom toilet can barely flush, the tub is covered with layers of smeared caulking and the shower head was a dollar store find. The ac unit is caked with dirt and dust/mold. This hotel should be no more than $25 a night because the only thing worse would have been sleeping outside. The smell hits you as soon as you step inside. It’s clear that it’s been poorly renovated hundreds of times and it’s just simply time to demo this entire building. I was so upset I booked here and will never return. New carpet,paint,flooring etc can’t save this place because it’s so far past that. How the hell did this pass an inspection?

The hotel and rooms were clean. The staff was very friendly! We were about 10 mins from everything we did. Would definitely stay again.

We are a large family and had two rooms. One was very clean, sadly the other smelled like pesticides and just overall wasn’t as pristine clean as the other. The stinky room had 2 dead bugs. We hung out in the clean room and a few of us slept in the not as clean room (could have been swept)

Hotel was very clean, beds were okay on comfortability. Definitely nice after a long day of walking, but wasn't anything to rave about. Shower had good water pressure, and great mirror lighting. You are very close to the airport, so there is quite a bit of airplane noise. Rooms seem to be relatively updated, and had great air conditioning. Breakfast was very mediocre visually, so we didn't actually try it. Overall, it is a good option for a budget hotel if visiting the Kentucky Expo.

Staff was friendly. Basic breakfast of cereal, oatmeal but also had good fresh fruit. One bed was too soft with a permanent indention in the mattress. Fairly priced.

The shower did not work and the bathtub did not hold water. Pain peeling off walls and hallway dirty.

When we got to our room we noticed water spots all over the ceiling. On one of the water spots there was a huge bug stuck to the ceiling. Not sure if it was dead or not. After a long hot humid day, came back wanting to take a cold shower and the shower didn't work.

One bed hard as a rock the other wore out sinking in Small crappy pillows. Paper thin towels. Ac barley worked. Frig warm. Fan didn't work.

Room was not cleaned by maid service everyday and had to go to front desk to get clean towels. Water pressure for shower was nonexistent. Bed was comfortable.

The bathroom was very small and NO water pressure. In the shower. Everything else was okay. Facility could use an update.

The hotel breakfast consists of toast and dry cereal and some wilted furit. Stayed 4 nights for a convention and the people behind front desk were hard to understand because of their broken English,

I had an accident while checking in. The manager told me to get off his property and I would not get a refund. He was the most unprofessional person I have ever seen He should be fired immediately. He was yelling and screaming at me then I got very belligerent with him also. He had no interest in hear me out Then I told him what I thought of him

Don’t Walk RUN!!! They stole my money & won’t give it back! To make a long story short I booked a stay at this hotel through Expedia. I drove from out of state and when I arrived, there was a group of people in the lobby receiving refunds. I waited several minutes to be checked in and when I got up to the counter I let the front desk know that I had a dog with me and they immediately got rude. I read the pet policy before Booking, even though a lot of it doesn’t matter to me because I would be traveling with a service animal. The guy at the front desk called the manager so I waited several minutes while they talked on the phone. Ivan was told that the manager said I could keep the dog but then wanted to make it very clear that they had all of these extra rules that were not on their written pet policy. They were extremely rude and made it very clear that they wanted to do multiple inspections of our room while staying there, and then, if for any reason, we left the dog unattended in the room, even for a moment that they would lock us out and not give us a refund. I told the gentleman that I did not want to check in. I felt very unsafe and very uncomfortable and felt like I was treated unfairly. I asked him if I could get a refund and he said that he didn’t have my money. Expedia when I contacted them said that wasn’t true and that the hotel had my money all along. Expedia says they cannot get a hold of them and the hotel will not give the money back.

We stayed on Jan 20 four days later still haven't received my deposit. My bank said it was processed. So guess i will have to make it trip down there. But the room was clean. Just want my deposit thats all.

Lady who checked us in was not friendly and refused to let us pay with cash or accept any AARP or other discount.

I got charged a 60 dollar deposit for one person and now i can understand if it was 2 or more but 60 for one person for one night is way to much. I also had a problem with the fact that i was told i could not have any guest in the room. I just paid over a hundred dollars for 1 nigjt and i dont have the right to have some in my room

Stayed for a weekend for State Marching Band competition and it was a very enjoyable stay. Room and bathroom were both clean with no signs of anything broken. I only noticed one person working during my entire stay but he was always super friendly and make check in a breeze.

Staff was rude. Bathroom door would shut. Hallway smelled like pot.

I was in town for the boys AAU Grassroots tournament at the Convention Center. The hotel was 2.5 miles away from the convention center.

Decent budget hotel. “Across” from Expo Center grounds but still not walkable. This Expo center is extraordinarily difficult to get to. Almost no hotels are walking distance.

We had a good stay, and the room was nice. The staff is really friendly. Parts of the hotel were run down but looks like they are working in it. Disappointed in breakfast not many things to choose from.

This hotel was fine for my two night stay visiting Louisville. I'd love to see them upgrade the breakfast. Add a hot dish, fresh fruit, and/or gogurt. What was offered was very basic. Cereal toast juice prepackaged muffins and granola bars. There was coffee but only during breakfast hours. Other than that everything was fine.

Breakfast was disappointing the only protein was peanut butter tubs. The coffee was like hot water. No flavor at all.

The property itself was ok, but the fridge didn't keep food cold. It all spoiled. The staff were incompetent when it came to assisting with an extention. The breakfast was horrible. Nothing hot & the orange & apple juice was mixed with water with little juice in it. This was one hell of a stay lol

I liked the location, the cleanliness, the support of the desk staff. I did not like the limited choices at breakfast.

Breakfast bar closes to early. Should stay open until at least 10am.

Clean and quiet!!!! My only complaint is the breakfast bar is all carbs, no protein. Had to go out for breakfast. Prices for the room were affordable and reasonable. We had a good stay here. Would do so again.
