We couldn’t fault our stay with Virginia Hotel . Even though only 2 nights we were pleasantly surprised from start to finish . Housekeeping was daily , fresh towels amenities replenished n staff were super good & efficient. We checked in very late at night n were worried if there would be anyone there @ midnight . Sofia greeted us, checked us in ran thru procedures professionally n confidently . Breakfast was plentiful & good variety . We were attended by Anna , made us feel like family and helped with the surrounds of the town & pointed places for us to see . She had a great sense of humour, chatted to all guests & if they wanted anything else she was happy to arrange. Hats of to her The Virginia Hotel is lucky to have staff that are dedicated to their jobs especially Anna … wish I could stay I’ll be back , age prevails but I’ll definitely recommend this hotel in Samos . Anna & Ennio from Sydney Australia

One of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had This was, without exaggeration, one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. When we first entered our room, it was obvious that it had not been properly cleaned. As you can see from the photos, the condition of the room was absolutely unacceptable. There were hairs on the bed, the toilet was dirty inside, the floors were filthy, and there wasn’t even toilet paper in the room. To be fair, the reception staff did try to help us and were the only positive part of this experience. They offered us another room, but unfortunately, it was not much better than the first one. We therefore asked for our original room to be properly cleaned instead. Even after the cleaning staff claimed that the room had been cleaned again, we came back to find visible dirt and mud stains still on the floor. At that point, we simply felt disgusted and extremely uncomfortable staying there. We didn’t even want to have breakfast at the hotel during our stay. There were other serious problems as well: there was no hot water and the air conditioning did not cool the room properly. We were already dealing with so many basic cleanliness issues that we almost forgot to complain about these. We had no choice but to stay for the first night. We then asked for a refund for the second night so that we could leave and move to another hotel, but the hotel owner refused. The hotel was absolutely not worth the money we paid.

I got a little lost getting to the hotel but it was a very nice stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Nice view of the sea and sunset from the pool area.

The first room we were given was too small and couldn't accommodate three people, even though we had booked for three and paid extra. When I complained, I was told we would get a free upgrade, though the explanation was a bit confusing. Thankfully, the second room was acceptable; otherwise, everything else was mediocre. The location was fair, as long as you didn't mind a 15-minute walk to downtown.
