Stella Island Luxury Resort & Spa (Adults Only)

Everything about this place is 5 stars. The a la carte dining options are incredible with 5 restaurants to choose from, all offering very different cuisine. The cocktails are made fresh and are excellent quality. There is an outdoor gym for CrossFit style training and a well equipped indoor gym. The room was excellent - we had the premium swim up. Our deck was in the shade most of the day which may bother some people, but we were happy to use it as a break from the sun. And there are plenty of sun loungers available. The resort felt spacious and quiet despite being fully booked. Staff are very attentive and friendly. If we had to be constructive, one criticism would be the buffet - we enjoyed the breakfast. Lunch and dinner are ok, but the variety isn't huge and quality was hit or miss. However, there are several restaurant options for lunch as well where the food is guaranteed to be great. We will definitely be going back, it's an excellent resort for couples.

Quite a nice quiet place to relax but all inclusive finishes by 11pm and you have to pay for food and drinks between 11pm and 7am which is quite is okay with me with the amount charged for the stay. I was charged separately for using the spa too

Beautiful resort. Definitely earned the luxury title. The pool could have been heated as we did visit in the fall, but the water was beautiful and we still swam. I noticed there was a decent amount of grime in the corners but it is such a large pool I was not too surprised. Overall this didn’t create an issues. The bed was very firm but house keeping was great and immediately got us an extra topper. The staff were all amazing and we definitely noticed the luxury service in the house keeping frequency, room service speed and professionalism and the mini bar refreshes. Also the food was amazing. Best all inclusive food we have had. The desserts were all unreal. One thing I will mention is that there are planes flying low overhead every hour so more during the day so if you’re looking for a super peaceful escape this may not be the one. But if you can overlook the planes, we still felt very relaxed and the vibe was awesome. Overall gorgeous property, and we will stay again.

beautiful place , excellent service . food could be better . expected more out of this place . if you dont like ham and sea food , you have almost nothing to eat . spa costs extra ... this hotel is super expensive and shouldn't be charging extra for hot tub .

Stella Island is a beautiful and peaceful resort with a truly premium feel. The rooms were superb, and the design—with pools running throughout—adds to the relaxing atmosphere. The food was consistently excellent, with plenty of variety and top-quality dishes. While the location isn’t ideal for walking to nearby attractions, the resort has everything you need, and taxis to local towns are easy to arrange. Highly recommended for a luxurious, hassle-free getaway.

Amenities were amazing. Staff super friendly and accommodating. Food was incredible. Overwater Bungalow is a big recommend.

We had a wonderful time at the resort. We enjoyed the spa. The food was very good. We enjoyed the community cats also. We will be back. Nick was a very big help to us throughout our entire stay.

The one day we did go into town, the hotel arranged a taxi for us for a fee of about 50 euro. Some issues we experienced: -Trying to make reservations beforehand at the restaurants... I was told over email that they would not take them beforehand, and when we got there, the staff said I should have made them in advance because no dining except buffet dining was available on the day of our arrival. That being said, when we did get to eat at the specialty restaurants that were open, they were incredibly wonderful! The food was on par fantastic for an all inclusive deal. -I had contacted the hotel to set up transportation from the airport and they never got back to me. That being said, it was easy to find a taxi at the airport. -All inclusive ends at 11pm (for drinks/foods); which is not something we were used to or expected. -Not a huge deal, but we were told there would be a nice surprise for us in our room for our anniversary, but that never really happened.

Don’t be scared of a solo trip, the people are fantastic and you will be made to feel very welcome and not alone. The guests are hit and miss, some are a bit rowdy, some doing photo shoots the whole time but it’s easy to find some quiet space. Most are couples in their 30s. The rooms are soundproofed, I stayed on a top floor and couldn’t hear any neighbours which was a relief, food is fantastic but large portions. All inclusive is a must so that you can relax and let the wonderful people bring you drinks and snacks. I had a wonderful massage to start my trip, and a meal in the lovely Greek restaurant. Outside gym has some really cool equipment. I think the resort is non smoking, which is a relief as many Greek people smoke (there are mostly English people here), there are a lot of vapers. I travel to 5 star hotels for work, and I cannot say enough good things about the staff here, they are without exception friendly and helpful and in a resort like this, they make the difference between a 5 star trip and a less decent holiday. I will definitely return next year. I also stayed in the grand bungalow which was easily the best hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. I’d advise anyone to book a swim up room at least, to avoid sunbed wars at the pool.

Die Poolanlage ist sehr großzügig gestaltet, aber der Service unaufmerksam und teilweise unfreundlich. Wir lagen über 1h am Pool und wurden nicht bedient und es würde erwartet, dass wir den Schirm selbst öffnen. Es gibt genug Sonnenliegen und viele Getränke im All Inclusive. Im Pool sind die Fliesen und Ecken schmutzig. Das Zimmer ist wunderschön gestaltet, aber sparsam eingerichtet, das Bett hat geknarrt, ein Bademantel war komplett eingegangen und hat nicht gepasst und es gab im Bad nur Shampoo, Handseife und eine Bodylotion. Das Badezimmer ist offen und man hat eine gigantische Dusche und großen Balkon. Uns hat ein Ganzkörperspiegel gefehlt und eine Fernbedienung für die Klimaanlage. Das Abendprogramm war super und das Essen Shisha auch lecker. Allgemein ist das Essen durchschnittlich und leider nichts besonderes! Es ist sehr schade bei diesem Preis so viele Mängel feststellen zu müssen! Wir empfehlen das Hotel keinem weiter! Es ist definitiv kein luxury Resort.

Amazing place, great staff, clean environment and stunning views

This place was amazing. Very clean, modern, staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Everything you would imagine a place like that to be. We definitely didn’t have enough time there. I would like to have used the facilities the entire day of check in even if our room was not ready yet, as we were not able to use them until 3:00 and then not able to use them after check out at 11:00 so it made for a short time period for two days. Also since we did not get to check in until late we were not able to eat at one of the speciality restaurants the first night as they were already booked and then the choices for the second day were limited because of already being booked up.

First time staying at Stella Island and Wow! From start to end the holiday was amazing. Lovely welcome by the front desk staff, check in incredibly smooth with a welcome drink. Staff very attentive, used the in resort a la carte restaurants on 4 of the 5 nights which were all lovely (esp the Mexican and Steak restaurants) staff very friendly, resort is very clean and tidy with staff always cleaning. Lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be returning!

Amazing property. This is a clean and well maintained property. It is quiet and peaceful so relaxing is never an issue. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and work hard. Food is excellent and drinks are delicious. Will definitely return in the future.

The customers service was excellent. Nice variety of restaurants though the quality can improve. Excellent drinks & knowledgeable bar men. Clean environment but need to pay more attention to culinary utensils. All in all a fantastic experience and they were very open to correction. The management is amazing.

Quelques points restent perfectibles : chambre non prête à notre arrivée après 19h00, passages fréquents d’avions assez bruyants (couloir aérien juste au-dessus), attente trop longue le matin pour les crêpes (délicieuses), café expresso très décevant pour le français et application disponible uniquement en anglais pas de traduction pour le français, dommage. De petits désagréments techniques également (bruits/forts grincements de la double douche, porte d'entrée à claquer pour se fermer). Literie trop ferme ! Un établissement grandiose, qui gagnerait à accorder plus d’attention au confort et aux détails du quotidien.

We stayed at this property in mid May when the weather was still a little cold and therefore did not get to enjoy the pool and other amenities as we would have liked. Despite that, we had a wonderful time over our few day stay at Stella Island! The staff was incredibly wonderful and the resort was neat and clean and servers were mostly pretty attentive. Our room was cleaned daily. There were shows in the evening, which were a nice form of entertainment since the resort is pretty isolated from everything else. The one day we did go into town, the hotel arranged a taxi for us for a fee of about 50 euro. Some issues we experienced: -Trying to make reservations beforehand at the restaurants... I was told over email that they would not take them beforehand, and when we got there, the staff said I should have made them in advance because no dining except buffet dining was available on the day of our arrival. That being said, when we did get to eat at the specialty restaurants that were open, they were incredibly wonderful! The food was on par fantastic for an all inclusive deal. -I had contacted the hotel to set up transportation from the airport and they never got back to me. That being said, it was easy to find a taxi at the airport. -All inclusive ends at 11pm (for drinks/foods); which is not something we were used to or expected. -Not a huge deal, but we were told there would be a nice surprise for us in our room for our anniversary, but that never really happened.

1300$ for a 290 square foot room, smelly, worse than a 2 star hotel , no bathrobe, no luggage stand, grey ripped towels. We get the all inclusive but dont get fooled....is not we got charge for wine . The food is bad and the resort is in the middle of nowhere....very boring stay(one day) Maybe a 3 star hotel with no beach just a pool. Bigest booking mistake I ever did.

Service at it’s best. Personal ist wahnsinnig freundlich und stets hilfsbereit. Essen ist hervorragend - das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen. Zimmer mit direktem Poolzugang ist eine Wucht. Betten sind überragend, haben seit Jahren nicht so gut in Hotelbetten geschlafen.

We had an 6:30 am early morning transfer to the ferry the day we checked out and they opened the kitchen and had breakfast waiting for us at 6 am The only thing that wasn’t ideal was the Paraiso Party garden was located next to our room and since we had an early morning transfer, the music made it very difficult to sleep - that would be my only recommendation for not staying in a room nearby the party garden.

This property was absolutely stunning!! Definitely enjoyed staying here. The rooms were gorgeous, pool was amazing, extremely friendly staff, and they had a nice spa! Overall 5 out of 5. Only thing that was a little disappointing was the beach for the guests. Certainly wasn’t what we expected. Very rocky, and not a great place to enjoy the ocean as there’s walls/barriers right in front of where the Stella Island guests sit. However, not a big deal. We just went to a nearby beach about 20 minutes away via taxi, and it was awesome. This place is gorgeous and we’d highly recommend it.

We booked Stella Island for four nights our honeymoon thinking it was going to be the best luxury holiday of our life. Unfortunately it fell short of our expectations. The Negative: Service was extremely slow, majority of food was luke warm, the staff did not understand much English, which we are so fine with, we're in Greece after all - however, the communication was very bad, this made for a tough time getting what we asked for - our servers/bartenders forgot our drink order on several different occasions, or gave us the wrong thing... we would often be served a different dish to what we asked for or a dish without half of the ingredients listed on the menu. Whenever we had a question, even the most simple and standard, it was a big ordeal and barrier to get through. Housekeeping would forget to top up our body wash, and coffee, etc - basically housekeeping stuff. When we called reception to politely ask for a top up of these things, they said a housekeeper/room service wold be right over to replenish.... but they never came. We were quite shocked at how the basics were overlooked here. The positive: The Facilities itself were stunning - we were so happy with the surroundings - the room, the pools, the trees... everything was very aesthetic to look at! The staff were very friendly, we just found it strange that the above things were too much ask....

Amazing stay at Stella Island would definitely recommend to couples especially honeymooners :) It’s as beautiful as the photos on website and socials. Stunning and the staff are the biggest asset. Food is amazing at all restaurants including the buffets. If I’m being really picky I think the cocktails can be better but if you tell the bartender what you want and how you want it they accokidate.

Prachtige accomodatie, goede ontbijt- en dinerbuffetten. Gevarieerd entertainment. Mogelijkheid tot all-inclusive voor niet te veel geld. In de buurt is niet zoveel te doen dus als je er op uit wilt is een auto wel een must.

Beautiful new resort towards the NE side of Crete. Staff was uniformly kind and seemed vested in us having a great time. Spa was absolutely wonderful. A few nits to be aware of. Hotel is rather isolated and the nicer restaurants all close at 930pm and require reservations 24 hours in advance via their app with no same day flexibility. Also despite being next to the sea, there is no hotel beach club or chairs and a lot of the landscaping even blocks the sea views. Price was a little high considering no beach and need to take taxis to go anywhere off property.

Food was exceptional. The all inclusive concept has limitations that if you’re used to all inclusive in the Caribbean or even at Paradisus brand it would make nervous…this would make me mark them down especially for the price point paid. Overall a wonderful experience. Love Crete….visited 3 hotels over 11 days but would try another A.I hotel on our next visit as we will certainly be back.

Un établissement grandiose, qui gagnerait à accorder plus d’attention au confort et aux détails du quotidien.

We stayed at this property in mid May when the weather was still a little cold and therefore did not get to enjoy the pool and other amenities as we would have liked. Despite that, we had a wonderful time over our few day stay at Stella Island! The staff was incredibly wonderful and the resort was neat and clean and servers were mostly pretty attentive. Our room was cleaned daily. There were shows in the evening, which were a nice form of entertainment since the resort is pretty isolated from everything else. The one day we did go into town, the hotel arranged a taxi for us for a fee of about 50 euro. Some issues we experienced: -Trying to make reservations beforehand at the restaurants... I was told over email that they would not take them beforehand, and when we got there, the staff said I should have made them in advance because no dining except buffet dining was available on the day of our arrival. That being said, when we did get to eat at the specialty restaurants that were open, they were incredibly wonderful! The food was on par fantastic for an all inclusive deal. -I had contacted the hotel to set up transportation from the airport and they never got back to me. That being said, it was easy to find a taxi at the airport. -All inclusive ends at 11pm (for drinks/foods); which is not something we were used to or expected. -Not a huge deal, but we were told there would be a nice surprise for us in our room for our anniversary, but that never really happened.

The place is huge and looks very nice. Rooms are very large and comfort. On the other hand, the hotel is a bit too big and with many guests so sometimes the service lacks. I had a half board reservation and so they let you eat only in the main restaurant. I was disappointed of the food quality in the main restaurant (mainly dinner) and as well of the lunch in the meat restaurant (with extra cost).
