Good central location, excellent facilities, roof top and lounge also a very comfortable bed. Just a minor point, if you book room with Acropolis view at front of property expect traffic noise.

I spent a lot of time choosing a hotel with pool but it closed at sunset. I arrived later than that and needed to get to the airport next day so early I had no time to actually use it. That was quite disappointing. I had room from 8th floor probably just below the pool. It was quite noisy with some bubbling sounds. Luckily I had ear plugs. Otherwise ok, not worth the money I paid for it unfortunately. Dinner at Cloud9 was definitely the biggest highlight. The menu was great and servers all giving their best. I had a great meal with risotto, sushi and non-alcoholic negroni. Breakfast had lots of good options too. Food and views were great, but overall did not get the hype of rooms.

Rooftop Pool and Bar area are first class. Restaurant food quality is very good, though buffet breakfast could be improve. Staff throughout the hotel from front desk, to cleaning team are very courteous and professional.

Only thing that wasn’t working right was the a/c unit, until the last day we were there it was cooling off. They sent the maintenance guy 3 times but it was the same . Also the pool was freezing cold even though it was vey hot no one was fully going inside because it was freezing

Great place to spend a day in Athens awaiting a flight home. Beautiful pool deck with drink service and a view of the Acropolis! Staff were friendly and the property was immaculate.

The rooms were clean. However there was a smell from the bathroom. We did not hear any noise from the other rooms or the corridor but there was noise from the street outside. The pool area was very nice and that’s what stood out including the views from up there, especially the Acropolis. The downside was that it was a bit cold to jump in the pool because of the month that we we went to. I chose this hotel because it stated that it had a heated pool.

Beautiful hotel staff were helpful. Pool was exceptional. A couple of issues elevators were slow and often passed floors without stopping and we had noisy neighbours but security sorted that out. Nothing that would impede us staying there again or recommending it to others

The Stanley is a great hotel to stay at while visiting Athens. Here are some detailed notes about the property. Room: -Stayed in a room with twin beds -Bed was large and allowed us to both sleep comfortably (long enough for tall guests– I am 6-foot-2) -Bedding and pillows were very comfortable -In-room air conditioning was powerful and allowed us to sleep at a comfortable temperature–perfect for people who prefer to sleep cold -Balcony was large and featured solid views of downtown Athens, the valley/surrounding mountains -Curtains blocked most of the light, but if you are sensitive to light, bring an eye mask -Other room features: mini-fridge, safe for valuables, coffee maker Hotel/Amenities: -Amazing rooftop pool with stunning views of the Acropolis, downtown Athens, and sea/mountains on a clear day -Comfortable lounge chairs/beds at the pool -Huge restaurant/bar with amazing views -Elevators were a bit small and slow, so patience is sometimes required (also have stairs to all rooms if you prefer to walk) -Friendly hotel staff and cleaning crews -Relatively quiet rooms–did not hear neighbors, but the hallway can get a bit loud after 10 AM Location: -Hotel is located right next to the Metaxourgeio metro stop, which makes travel to major sites quick, easy, and affordable -Felt safe walking around streets at night, even though many surrounding buildings/streets appear rundown -Great bakery/coffee shop steps away from the hotel

Das Hotel war super, tolle, moderne, saubere Zimmer, zentrale Lage direkt an der U-Bahn und den Sightseeingbussen. Restaurants in der Nähe. Absolute Weiterempfehlung!

We were given a room full of bugs in the bathroom. When we complained, it seemed like a common issue. A cleaner came in with some spray, but we were left in the same room. By morning, the bathroom was swarming with hundreds (!!) of bugs and insects. Only after raising our voice at reception were we finally moved to another room. The location is far from the city center, and the surrounding area feels quite unsafe and uncomfortable in the evening hours. Definitely not ideal for anyone looking to explore or walk around after dark. The only good thing about the hotel is the pool. No compensation was offered for the inconvenience.

This hotels has a plumbing problem. Hard to fix being above the train and a massive fountain. Our room smelled like a toilet bowl. After complaining, and requesting a refund to leave, we were told there were no more rooms, but then miraculously were switched to a different room. This room smelled like bleach and the drain was clogged. Backed up water began to rise in the bathroom. We complained again and were refused a refund and were offered to move rooms YET again. We were offended, were not met with respect and hospitality and how uncomfortable we were. We will never stay here again and will never recommend this hotel. Also, we were warned by multiple taxi drivers that the area is known for many people being on hard drugs. Not good for walking. We also were followed to the hotel and only crossed the street from the bar across the street. Security was great at diverting the man, but overall a terrible, costly, and uncomfortable experience.

Lovely hotel, clean room, good view etc Pool was nice even in February. Would ask not to stay on 8th floor if possible as restaurant on 9th and much chair scraping at breakfast.

Nice pool and rooftop bar but the room was small and smelly. With the view of the back of the hotel (noisy).

The rooms are sufficient. The wi-fi was easy to access and the speed was good. The breakfast was good with lots of options.

Clean but our “Superior Room” was tiny. Bathroom even smaller. The location of hotel was within walking distance of shops, restaurants and attractions but was a bit sketchy. Rooftop pool and bar had beautiful views and were both very nice. Staff was professional but not overly friendly. It was fine for the one night we were there.

Nice hotel room and rooftop, the hotel bathroom was so so tiny and the shower was so small. It also wouldn’t drain, so it was like a bath/shower. The area directly around the hotel is very questionable. The metro is right there though, so if you are ok to metro, it’s great. We prefer to walk, it’s only about 10-15 minutes, but it was very questionable.

Good stuff: * Main draw is the roof top pool but beware that the hotel rents space out, we had a 12 or 13 year old girl's party there so lots of squealing teens for a whole afternoon! It has a stunning view of the Pantheon, and is an oasis in a busy city. * Metro station and tourist bus 2 mins walk away * Fantastic breakfast, loads of choice, nice seating area including outside deck * Room very clean Bad stuff: * Staff poorly informed - government free entry day, they told us we needed tickets for the Panetheon and only the museum was free, we decided to see when we got there and it was all free * Staff didn't know the mall shops were shut on Sundays so sent us off to find only the food court was open * Staff at the pool are there watching what you are doing so you feel like you're at school. They don't offer a poolside service, just stand and watch you - you order drinks via and app * Restaurant bar and evening meals very limited (one main dish) for veggies * No effective soundproofing - area very noisy both from the street and can hear every word of other guests in corridors from rooms. Hotel used by large coach parties that left early so we were woken at anything from 6.30am * Not much in the area, need to get metro or taxis to town Overall: * Good value compared to other hotels in Athens, just be aware of the need to travel for evening meals and to get to town, and that it's pretty noisy. But offset that against the pool and the cleanliness and nice size of rooms.

Our stay at The Stanley Hotel was amazing! Check-in was smooth and welcoming, and we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade. The hotel itself is beautiful, with thoughtful amenities that truly set it apart. One of the highlights was the rooftop bar and restaurant—everything we tried was fresh and absolutely delicious, with stunning views to match. The location is also perfect, with the metro literally around the corner, making it easy and cost-effective to get anywhere in the city. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be staying here again on our next visit to Greece.

Great base in the centre of Athens. Transport links on your doorstep. Lovely hotel with efficient and friendly staff, especially Cleopatra who couldn’t do enough to make you feel welcome . Fantastic views of Athens with rooftop pool and lovely restaurant.

Very good amazing customer service

Shift leader who checked us in (around 1:15am) was rude and unaccommodating. Fortunately the bellman was kind and helped us with our room. The same shift leader checked us out 3 days later and treated us the same way. The hotel is located at an incredibly busy intersection and there is traffic, noise and sirens at all hours of the day and night. Hotel is 20-25 minutes away from the top sites in Athens and is not in a "fun" part of town. We had to Uber everywhere. Do not recommend and will definitely never stay here again.

The room was clean and nice. The rooftop view from the 9th floor was awesome. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast was wonderful. However, the hotel’s location/area didn’t feel safe after 7 p.m. The view from the room was of the city, which I didn’t like.

Hotel was convenient located near a metro . Rooms are not what I wouldn’t call it superior at all ( didn’t look that renovated ) Very noisy in the room you can hear everyone walking past talking , you can hear upstairs when they move furniture . Do not stay near the lifts as there are stairs and they serve as a tunnel of noise . Pool area is nice but unless you park your bum on a chair after breakfast you won’t get a seat all day long . Breakfast was a good spread , dinner was lovely

Bon hôtel, superbe rooftop avec piscine. Chambres moyennes, confortables. Salle de bain très petite avec baignoire super étroite. Pas de rideaux occultant et donc lumière de la rue la nuit. Très Bonne isolation phonique vers la rue malgré trafic de fous. Quartier effrayant, en ruine, horrible, très mauvaises odeurs, drogués sur la rue,… heureusement il y a le métro ( très très beau, sécurisant, rapide,…) au pied de l’hôtel.

Had a wonderful stay at the Stanley. The 360-degree view from the pool deck is amazing at all hours of the day and has an incredible view of the Acropolis. The Breakfast buffet is a good value, and we enjoyed our dinner at Cloud 9. The neighborhood around the hotel is feels a bit sketchy, but it is convenient to the Metro so easy to get around Athens. The staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended

Unbelievable view of the Acropolis from the rooftop pool. Very convenient location right outside the metro, however, the area around the hotel felt limited

Stayed here 5 nights end March. Lovely hotel, friendly staff and located right next to a metro stop. Shops and restaurants nearby but we tended to go into the centre as it was so convenient. Used the hotel bar most evenings when we got back….great rooftop views. Breakfast was very nice with a decent selection. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Athens.

We liked the Hotel. Their Cloud 9 restaurant on the 9th floor had wonderful food and fabulous views! Really enjoyed their breakfast buffet.

The rooftop restaurant and bar was a wonderful setting for the great variety of breakfast food and for cocktails in the evening with views of the Parthenon. The pool was too cold to really enjoy when we were there.

The eggs were inedible. Bacon, cheese, and olives were the only edible foods. Everything else was high sugar carbs. No hot water for tea. Just disgusting coffee.

The room was fantastic. The hotel is very clean and nice. The breakfast is very good with lots of options. We also ate at the restaurant on the roof, and the food was very good. Definitely worth a stay here if you are traveling to Athens.

Room was fine other than no bathroom outlets other than for razor. Breakfast was in different areas from our friends and wouldn’t allow us to eat together. Slow service at bar and pool. Always a line at coffee machines and could use drip coffee to reduce wait.
