My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Electra Palace. The hotel was beautiful - I don't think the photos do it justice. All of the staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly and attentive. The view of the Acropolis from the restaurant and rooftop pool/bar were spectacular, and if you stay here, you should definitely book dinner in their rooftop restaurant - genuinely one of the best meals I've had! Loved every moment of staying here, and can't wait to come back!

An excellent hotel. Perfect location. The breakfast is excellent and rich — a large variety of cheeses, pastries, and omelettes, including real freshly squeezed orange juice poured to the table. The hotel has a nice spa with a pool and sauna, and each guest books a private time slot. The staff is outstanding and responds to every request or need. We especially want to mention Gorgenia (apologies if we are not pronouncing the name correctly), who made sure we enjoyed our stay and was attentive to any need. When we return to Athens, we will definitely return to the same hotel.

Hôtel très bien placé dans Plaka, Vue splendide sur l’acropole, notamment sur la terrasse pendant le petit déjeuner (et du restaurant). Le petit-déjeuner était excellent et très qualitatif. Très belle vue depuis la piscine extérieure ( elle était à 20C pendant notre séjour debut Novembre donc baignable si on n’est pas frileux). Il y a aussi une piscine intérieure chauffée (mais pas de chaises longues pour s’allonger). Seul bémol , du bruit de la rue dans notre chambre en journée, mais ce n’était pas dérangeant la nuit.

Quiet nights, school next door a bit noisy weekdays from 8 am. Furnishings need updating, especially bathroom vanity space is very small. Great closet and drawers in hallway built in . No bedside charging capability. No streaming from apps possible on tv. Need more English stations. Location very convenient.

Great breakfast included, with many choices, lovely 8th floor restaurant with view of the Acropolis. Our rooms were lovely. Fitness room was tiny (3 machines), and had limited hours. Not great if you want an early morning workout.

The staff was very accommodating and couldn’t be more friendly. The breakfast was outstanding in every way. Fresh pastries, fresh bread, eggs cooked to order, fruit, juices, coffee, everything imaginable they had and more. The pool is on the small side but it was very refreshing. It was hot so lots of patrons using the pool. Pool staff friendly and efficient. Lots of restaurants and cafes and bakeries nearby within walking distance.

The front desk staff were very helpful! Our room was nice but small. There was construction happening in the room above us which began before 9am so sleeping in wasn’t an option. This went on through the day until dinner. The pool had a great view of the acropolis although it was a small area with limited loungers. The number of people who “saved” these few loungers with their towels was annoying. We spent 3 hours by the pool one afternoon and the beds were still being unused while others had no where to sit. The breakfast buffet was amazing (a huge variety and very delicious) however I wish I could say the same for the service. For what is deemed a luxury hotel I felt I shouldn’t have had to track down someone to bring coffee to the table. We didn’t have one wait staff check on us or ask if we needed anything. We cleared our own plates. Overall it was a very average stay in a very expensive hotel.

Just back from a November long weekend…we were so pleased to have booked this hotel. Perfectly located for everything the centre of the city has to offer on foot…charming staff who were friendly and very helpful…comfortable and clean rooms (we were in doubles on the 5th floor with both front and Acropolis views)…perfectly serviceable small spa and gym - we used both - a very delicious breakfast buffet with lots of fresh choices and a lovely decked outside pool area with a dozen or so sun loungers which was open and useable in the lovely weather until mid-November. The real star of the show is the stunning rooftop restaurant and bar. What an incredible view of the city and Acropolis at breakfast and early cocktails!

Hotel was very clean and staff helpful in every way.They were friendly and informative. The breakfast was delicious and staff happy to serve you coffee from a real coffee machine. Roof top view is spectacular and to have breakfast and a swim with the view of the Acropolis is really special. Pool area also great and pool staff very friendly. Our room had everything we needed, was clean & comfortable and remained cool during the heatwave in Athens

Beautiful 8th floor dining area with views of the Acropolis. On the 2nd morning our bathroom had an overwhelming smell of sewer. We were offered another room. Great walkable neighborhood close to everything. Very comfortable beds. Very pretty hotel.

Efficient, friendly and very helpful staff. Centrally located to many tourist sites, shopping and restaurants. Breakfast in the 8th floor restaurant was not only delicious with a wide variety of options but offered a great view as well as an outdoor dining option. Our room, while spacious, was in need of some renovation…furniture was quite worn and bed was very soft and did not provide support. In addition, our courtyard facing room was very noisy. Despite a few drawbacks, the pros outweigh the cons and the Electra Palace proved to be a good choice for us. We would stay there again.

Clean lobby, clean rooms. Our room was very small for what we paid ($320 per night). Bathroom extremely tiny: couldn't open the door all the way without hitting the toilet. Limited coffee service. Called for a bucket of ice: also small. In one case we waited over an hour then just left.

After spending two nights in a lovely yet noisy suite near the elevator on the 5th floor, we were delighted when Sofia from Guest Relations kindly upgraded us to the presidential suite. Good location and stunning view from the (rather small) room. We had a garden view room. Noise from events and dining at the garden is very disturbing. Housekeeping service quite mediocre (one day no towels left, another no tissues replenished). Front desk has been effective in solving issues. Alue for money is questionable.

Wonderful stay at the Electra Palace in a suite with patio overlooking the Acropolis. Service was top-notch, from the welcoming smiles on arrival, storage of luggage, directions to local sights, and poolside (after a rain shower, we went to the pool to relax, and pool staff came out and dried off the beds and brought fresh towels). Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a clean, elegant and convenient location. The breakfast is fantastic, and the rooftop location provides for stunning views for a dessert/nightcap.

We liked many things about the hotel. Staff are warm and helpful. Beds and linens were nice. Breakfast is very good. Location is very good. The negatives are three, all common issues with older hotels. Limited electric outlets, and none by the bed. Bath/shower is treacherous for older people. Finally, limited counter space.

My second time staying at Electra Palace and it was excellent! The breakfast is amazing and the service is great. They have a wide variety of options for breakfast including fresh squeezed juice and a full coffee bar. The rooms and bathrooms are outdated but the beds are very comfortable. The large balconies are large and a very nice touch. The views of the Acropolis are absolutely amazing and the property is in such a great area! I will definitely return to this property!

The hotel is perfect for a trip to Athens. I was alone with my 2 year old and we had a wonderful stay. The location and pool and rooftop restaurant are the absolute best. Only thing; we had a king room and it was really small, and the beds were 2 singles not joined together so they kept rolling apart. Other than that, great!

We came back to stay after our cruise. Granted we arrived early (around 10AM) but we felt they weren’t going the extra mile to get our room ready before 3:00. We laid out by the pool until the rain ran us inside. The checkin staff was just a bit rude. They didn’t seem to like us or something. Totally different crew late at night and in the morning. They were nice. We enjoy the hotel itself and the restaurant.

Reviewing my experience dealing with the hotel - not my stay. I booked on 14th Dec to stay from the 18th to 23rd. On 15th Dec I received an infectious disease protocol message from the NHS. I was potentially carrying tuberculosis, and could no longer travel out of the UK. I had to report for testing procedures on 18th December. Despite Expedia explaining this to the hotel barely 24hrs after booking, they refused to refund my booking. £500 gone, just like that. That was my experience with them.

The service from all hotel staff was excellent! The concierge during all shifts were efficient, courteous and professional. We were a three generation family of 6 and the hotel arranged 3 different tours for us on the spot. The guides and drivers for all tours were excellent. When we arrived our youngest member, 10 years old, was sick and needed medical attention. The hotel arranged for a doctor to come to the room. We were able to get the needed medications and he bounced back a day later. Thank you!

Really nice hotel, clean, centrally located… I would probably go back. They also have great breakfast buffet but the only let down in their breakfast was their staff. They seem to try but gestures like their staff reminding ever single table individually that breakfast was over when almost every plate in the room was empty was unnecessary and makes guests feel uncomfortable, it seems like the staff was annoyed 10 - 15 tables were there 5 minutes after breakfast was over. Other than their restaurant staff having an attitude and being rude the hotel was decent.

Excellent hotel in prime location. Staff were very Friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Room was clean and our view of the Acropolis from our balcony was stunning! Roof top restaurant for breakfast every day was very special. Lovely touch of cake and fizz for my husband’s birthday. And we were stuck at the airport when we arrived due to a national strike. The hotel came to our rescue and found us a car. Highly recommend.

Had a great experience with all help staff at front desk, bag assistance etc. Top floor breakfast service was very good. Had very bad female bar tender that would not stop texting on her phone to make my drink, left after 20 minutes with no drinks. Go to their sister Hotel Electra Metropolis for amazing drinks

The desk staff was not knowledgeable about the surrounding areas. Directions given were totally wrong. Said it was a 5 minute walk when in reality it was a 15 minute cab drive. Hotel location was ok.

This hotel is in the perfect spot! Nestled on a quiet side street with scenic views of the acropolis, great shopping, restaurants and so much history in walking distance! Also the breakfast is great! They had the most delicious orange juice! Can't wait to go back.

Our room was nice and the bed very comfortable. The restaurant has a stunning view of the Acropolis. We found the music a little intrusive. We booked our table for 9:30 and were delighted to get a table as had been recommended to eat there. Unforunately we did not get our meal until 10:45. They were apologetic and gave us a free dessert. The lamb was a little fatty. I feel for the standard of the hotel the food was disappointing. Breakfast was good, with an excellent selection. The pool is great, again with a stunning view, but it was crowded and there is little shade.

Whist the lobby is extremely busy especially in the morning and noon time, it is nice and spacious a a comfortable place to lounge around. They have added an extension since our previous visit 10 years ago, and this includes a ~120 seater restaurant with collapsible full height glass walls, inside and outside seating, offering a fabulous view of the Acropolis. A great place to be whether it is for breakfast, dinner or just evening drinks!
