The poor guy that worked the front desk worked like a 12 hour shift both days. He was very nice and helpful. Our room was less than desirable. We had two FULL beds when most places have queen beds. It was difficult to sleep two people in a bed. The bathroom was very small with just a shower and toilet. The sink was near the bedroom door outside of the bathroom. Also, the elevator annual certificate of inspection approval was not displayed in the elevators which I believe is a requirement. There was a sign that said see the front desk for inquiries.

The hotel's listing said it had a restaurant and a bar. Wrong on both accounts! I had to drive to find a place to eat and make a trip to rhe ABC store and Harris Teeter to make myself a drink in the room.

The hotel needs an upgrade. I asked the front desk to have a second floor room and she said it’s fully booked. When we were at the pool I saw the rooms on the second floor looks like storage or hoping they are renovating. The food at buffet is just ok. They serve it so they can get customers but they didn’t plan well. The pool is clean but the surroundings is not. It’s a great location if you go to Busch garden but I will not coming back.

Checking in there was already a customer complaining about something and wanted to speak to a manager at 8pm. No manager on staff. The lights were flickering above us-there was a power flux. It wasn't a bad bulb. My husband and I were only staying one night for a funeral. The room was typical with bare minimum. I could clearly hear conversations because we were across from the elevator. I could see light thru the door; it was clearly too small for the frame. I could hear the ice machine all night. The bathroom was clean, bed comfortable, but not the pillows: terrible. I didn't get much sleep. Breakfast hours end at 9:30, which I think is too early. Overall, it was a fair price for what we got. Some improvements would be a better touch, but I wouldn't want to stay here for a vacation.
