The view was lovely. The spa area is nice. The room was a bit dated. The service on the 36th floor at the bar was not as it should be - the staff were inattentive and needed multiple reminders to bring a menu or take the order. The biggest problem that I had was the staff kept calling my phone in the room at random hours to see if I was still enjoying my stay. I found this intrusive and disruptive, especially when they woke me from sleeping.

Near perfection. Superb location with million dollar views high atop the CBD with the best sight lines of the iconic Opera House, Harbour Bridge and beyond. Wonderful, attentive staff as well as excellent food options morning, noon and night. The Pool, hot tub, sauna and gym experience was a daily luxury during our stay as well. Highly recommend it!

We enjoyed the large, comfortable rooms with large bathroom. Pillows weren't great, wouldve been nice to have aome options. We used the Horizon lounge, good selection of vegen food in the evening. Also had the pool to ourselves and enjoyed the spa. Reduced to 4* as not sure its value for money compared to other's in the area.

Great location, spacious room with harbour view, comfy beds, good facilities, bountiful buffet breakfast, helpful staff, value for money Decor a bit tired and dated, understaffed. Could be better soundproofing between interconnecting rooms. A bustling hive of activity, one of the busiest hotels ever stayed in, with appeal it seemed to all ages. If you are looking for a serene couples getaway it might not be for you. Pool/whirlpool area very popular with families & this area felt like a holiday park not a 5star hotel If you value well located & accessible to sights (& harbour views) it’s a great choice.

We live in syd and went here to relax and use the amenities. The pool/ spa area was a waterpark for kids (so we didn’t even bother to get in), the lifts take approximately 4 minute wait each trip (not even kidding), the aircon doesn’t cool the room (it’s winter and colder outside…), there are so many lights/ flashing lights so I had to unplug electrical items to make the room dark, water pressure is terrible (by the time the bath filled the water was already cold) and the ‘king’ bed is just two singles pushed together. All of these things would be fine and something I would expect of a $300-350/ night room; not $700+

The only good thing about this hotel room is that there is a Sydney Opera House at the windows. The bad side of this hotel experience was that, it took a long time (20 minutes at least) to check-in (please note I arrived after the start of the check in period so the room should have been ready). On arrival of the room after the staff provided me with the key card, two different hotel staff knocked my door and requested for: 1) taking picture of the items in the fridge, and 2) the electrician wanted to come in and fix a light bulb in the toilet. All these door knocking annoyed me as I wanted to take a rest, surely these should have been completed before the room is considered as ready for the next customer. The room was not cleaned everyday at all. In the second day morning, the cleaner knocked the door and wanted to come in to do the cleaning, but I told them I would be leaving soon so I asked them to return after 30 minutes. At the end, no one came in to do the clean up, when I called the hotel to express my concern on the cleanliness, they simply responded nothing. The third day morning, the cleaner came to do the cleaning eventually, but still some food rubbish in which my kid dropped onto the floor the previous night still exist on the floor. I had no expectation on the overall cleanliness of the hotel room. The sound proof of the room is not good neither.

Very well positioned hotel, right next to Circular Quay and The Rocks. Staff were all very friendly and attentive, which you expect from a Shangri-La. We did have a couple issues: - the bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly (could see previous occupants hairs left in the shower and talc powder on the floor), so asked for another clean which they did but still left a couple hairs etc. - We also came back to our room with the door left open / pulled to and not locked after staff went in, which understandably made us worry about the security of items left in the room whilst we were out. Luckily all okay, and the hotel gave us free breakfast as goodwill which was well received. - Finally, our shower door also didn’t close properly meaning that water went across the floor. All in all a nice hotel with a very comfortable bed and all the niceties expected from Shangri-La, but there are improvements needed as the above was just from one night there.

I didn’t like the fact that we spent $900 a night for a room where the kitchen is above the room and all you can hear is kitchen staff cleaning and banging around until 2am. Complained twice about the noise and suggested we stay somewhere else was the alternative at 12:30am…..

SPECTACULAR VIEW!! I splashed out in a “Grand Premier Harbour View” room which was pricey, but had the most amazing view of the whole of Sydney harbour, the bridge, opera house and beyond. Sitting on the window seat watching the harbour was a continual pleasure, worth the splurge. Room was spacious (more suite), with comfortable bed, sitting area and desk, minibar and coffee machine. Large bathroom (bath and separate shower) with nice toiletries. Large wardrobe and dressing area near door. Fast lifts. Staff helpful and responsive to feedback.

This was one of our favorite hotels that we stayed in during out 20 day trip to Australia. Walking distance to Circulay Quay, shops, restaurants and Sydney Opera House and Harbor Bridge. Colin the concierge was especially helfpul and guided us to the perfect tour to go visit the Blue Mountains.

主要な観光スポットから近くロケーションは良かったです。建物は古いですが、手入れが行き届いていて清潔感はありました。日本語対応ありとなっていましたが、フロントやコンセルジュ、レストランスタッフまで一切日本語での対応は一切なかったので、英語が苦手な方には苦労します。最もがっかりしたのは、帰国の日の朝にタクシーを予約しようと前日にコンシェルジュにお願いしたところ、24時間ホテルにタクシーが待機しているので予約は不要と言われ予約しませんでした。　翌朝ホテルに待機していたタクシーに乗車しましたが、乗車の際にホテルのスタッフも乗り場におらずそのまま乗車したところ、空港でタクシー料金を通常の2倍(通常60ドル程度)を要求され、さらに大きな荷物をトランクに入れたので運賃以外の料金も請求され結局合計150ドル支払いました。ホテルに待機しているタクシーは優良な会社だと思って信用しきっていたのが悪かったのでしょうか。そもそもホテル前のタクシー乗車の際にホテルスタッフが誰もいないというのはこのクラスのホテルの対応としてはいかがかなと思います。それ以外は朝食バイキングやプールなど満足の行くホテルだったのにその点だけ残念でした。

Although described as walkable from Circular Quay this does not reflect the number of steps needing to be climbed with luggage. Staff are friendly but exceptionally slow to answer front desk phone or room service requests, an ice bucket is provided in the room but no access to ice machine, average wait for ice was 45 minutes Biggest issue was being told that we had complimentary laundry, we checked this 3 times with various staff members before using the service, we then received a $297 bill, this was eventually removed but only after I could name one of the staff members we had spoken to, a ridiculous amount of time was spent trying to check we had this service included and sorting our bill out. The breakfast is $40 if paid on arrival for all days or $52 if done on a day by day basis. 2 course meal in 36 floor restaurant is $100 per person. The hotel is quite dated in decor and expensive to eat or drink at Bell hops were fantastic and so helpful

The property is in the perfect location and visually stunning. Staff while friendly were slow and inattentive. Check in queue was a 22 minute wait with only 2 guests processed in that time. Bar I had to approach someone to take my order after 10 minutes

Nice property but when we accidentally left a folio with documents in the room after check out the front office staff were completely non responsive and dishonest about the loss revovery. They never called back and we had to go twice back day adter day just to get don't call us we will call you bs. The front office clerk Ms.Nguyen straight out lied and changed her story. She initially said they cleaned and checked the room day prior and later after she realized that she told us they could not go into the room she changed her story. She said she would call us back and never did as same for Mrs.Lo Its stresful when you travel and misplace important documents. The fact that the staff there handled it so poorly made the stay a bad experience.

We loved the customer service at the Shangri-La. Our room was understandably not ready when we arrived at 9am but they suggested we freshen up in the gym change room. It was lovely to take a shower and change into a fresh set of clothes after a long flight. Our room became available before noon. The bathroom was quite spacious and the lighting in the room was soft and not harsh. Everyone we spoke to was accomodating and pleasant. Good location close to Circular Quay, the Rocks, and public transportation.

Have stayed twice over the past 2 weeks and cannot fault anything. John was amazing at check in and once he knew my friend and I were celebrating her 50th he organised complimentary wine and cake to be sent to our room. Great location and clean and modern hotel!

Didn’t anticipate stairs from Circular Quay to hotel which meant with my elderly mother we had to rely on Ubers and Taxis to get around. Certainly a great position, I chose it for proximity but underestimated the incline ti train and light rail.

I could not recommend more to stay at this hotel. From the moment we walk in, the service and atmosphere were fabulous . We booked a room which included Horizon Club acces. That's was the best decision. The food in the lounge was sufficient for us to skip going outside (while it was windy and freezing) and complementary alchocol during the evening session was a surprise to us. The breakfast was stunning , so as the view from the lounge and the room. As we were celebration a birthday they had delivered a delicious mini cake to our room . We will definetly be back . Can even think of one thing we would complaint or not liked there . Everything was at the highest level .

The Altitude Restaurant was awful from the way you were treated at reception, The poor running of the restaurant. The limited overpriced menu. We were in a club room on 32nd floor which was good. The staff and service in the Horizon Club was great. We would not use or recommend the Altitude Restaurant as it was very poor in every respect and not what you would expect in a Shangri-La hotel.

Was okay not exceptional. Before arriving contacted hotel for a request no response. Very disappointed with the club lounge. Club lounge- cramped. Everyone handling wine bottles if you wanted other drinks you had to search for menu then cram in a corner to get servers. Food was VERY limited nothing like club lounge in Singapore so many more options. Breakfast waited a few minutes to get a table as staff were off doing other things. Then when we got into lounge tables had not been cleaned and when staff came to clean them swept food into chairs and onto floor. Room was lovely except for the shower no water pressure if you turned the shower wand over no water was available. Staff overall were lovely to deal with If you want a view of Sydney Harbour hands down you won’t be disappointed.
