Nice stay! Very clean room but the drain in our shower was a little slow as was the toilet flushing. Good gym and pool, could use some shade spots at the pool. Very dog friendly and the staff were great from check in to check out. We would stay again, family of 4 with dogs

This place was a complete disaster and almost ruined visit to Carlsbad National Park. The hotel is completed outdated. Our bathroom had a clogged tub and a toilet seat that was peeling (ugh). The pool was so dirty, I am not sure the last time it was cleaned. It smelled like fish/old shoes around the pool. The AC struggled to keep up and the walls were paper thin. Plus, the internet didn't work. The pictures of this hotel are very misleading. A complete disaster. We stayed two nights--we woke up after the 2nd night early and left as soon as possible. I hope Wyndham is reading this review

Beautiful building and very big too. The only one with a pool out of many in the are that we checked out and advertise a pool but don't have one. It also looks safe and the decorations are very nice, makes you wanna be there. Very reasonable prices as well, compared to the competition in town. One of the best places I've stayed in for the money, for sure

Staff was very nice but the rooms were just gross. So bad I didn’t want to walk barefoot on the carpet. Beds not “hotel” neat and cockroach in the bathroom. Very limited amenities. I’ll be avoiding Wyndham properties, I didn’t realize they’re that bad. At least this one was. There are so many hotels in Carlsbad, spend a few more bucks if you want clean.

Overall the hotel and room were clean. The room was also very spacious. However, it b the morning we had aunt crawling all over our stuff in the bathroom. The breakfast was also lacking.

Very noisy all night from the busy street outside. The room wasn’t very clean and we even found a giant cockroach in our room. Poor breakfast buffet with limited options. The lawn around the hotel was nice, but water logged, leaving feet soaked. Would not stay here again.

STAYED HERE 8 YEARS AGO AND IT WAS NICE...NOT SURE IF WYNDHAM OWNED IT THEN..KILLED ONE ROACH IN THE BATHROOM AND 2 OUTSIDE THE ROOM DOOR ON PATIO. BED BUGS (SEE PHOTO). WHEN WE CHECKED OUT THE NEXT MORNING, I SHOWED THE CLERK THE DEAD ROACH IN A BOTTLE AND HE SAID "SORRY ABOUT THAT, BUT WE DID HAVE SOME RAIN LATELY. OTHER THAN THAT, HOW WAS YOUR STAY?" NO OFFER TO COMPENSATE AT ALL. TOLD HIM TO JUST GIVE ME MY RECEIPT SO I COULD LEAVE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. WILL NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY AGAIN

Front desk was great. Room was big and bed was comfortable. The bad thing is ac was off when i got to room. I figured they trying to save energy ok. I was tired turned on unit to 70 room was 82 degrees. Took almost 3 hrs to fully cool. Slept woke up to a 76 degree room. Idk if id stay here again.

This is really bad hotel. AVOID. The first room they put me in reeked of cigarette smoke and the WiFi was completely useless. I asked to move to a room closer to the lobby which fixed the internet problem, but now the room smelled lightly of mildew. ALSO: I turned on the TV and found that it didn’t work at all. The fridge in the room froze everything I put in it. The pool is also completely disgusting - I would never swim in it. (It was 80 in Feb) The only good thing was the front desk person. He was cool and nice.

First room was in Old building with dim lighting and run down everything. So we got moved to newer building on second floor. But it had a clogged toilet which ten minutes with a plunger didn't fix (and the plunger had to be checked out, which wasnt a good sign). Room 3 didn't get hot water for a shower. I'm not that picky, but this place was sub standard. The service however was excellent in trying to make the best of a terrible property

We were unable to stay at this hotel. When we first went to our suite we found it hadn't been cleaned (bed unmade, trash everywhere, towels on the floor, etc). They told us to come back to the front and they would give us another room. The man at the desk (Gael) said I can guarantee this room is clean, but when we keyed into that room there was someone already staying in that room. We then asked to cancel our reservation as we were no longer comfortable staying here, Gael wasn't able to produce anything showing us if our money was refunded and told us to just call in the morning and ask for the manager. The whole experience was rough and I would not suggest staying here.

It was very nice however I was charged 250 though Stevens and another 450 though hotels.com can someone please check into this it has created quite a hardships for me. Because this is a work trip not a fun trip and I will not even get reimbursed though my work for a few weeks. If someone can take a look at this other than that this was a very nice hotel Thank you

Due to a family emergency we were only in the room for 7 hrs we didn’t even spend the night. We asked about a refund for 2 of the 3 nights we had payed for in advance and were denied. Between our emergency and the refund denial, it was not a pleasant experience

I stayed one night and was charged almost $600 for a one night Stay. Apparently, I made the reservations through Hotel.com and someway, Expedia took the reservation and I got double charged for one night stay the hotel said that they would reimburse the money but that it may be a problem on Hotel.com‘s part and for me to get a hold of you because you apparently booked me and Expedia booked me in charged me double I want this problem taken care of immediately please before I wind up, reporting it to the Better Business Bureau thank you for your attention to this matter

Check in and check out went smoothly and the staff were helpful in any questions we had. The tv in our room wasn't working so I notified the front desk and they sent their maintenence about 5 minutes later and got everything fixed up for us. Overall a great experience even if we were just there for one night.

The room was aged, but clean and comfortable. The first room i was assigned had a malfunctioning a.c. I spoke to the front desk and had a new room assignment with zero hassle, the clerk was curteous and quick to relocate me.

This is an older motel which has been taken care of rather well. The facility has a detached bar and brings in a lot of people from the city abroad to party at night. Non motel stayers create a lot of noun the parking lot to drink, rev-up their engines, yell and all the other things partiers do. The facility is well kept but the bar brings in a lot things not conducive to a quiet stay.

Nice, clean rooms. Comfy beds. Ac worked just fine. Comvenient location. Paked right outside of my room. Was very quiet when i closed the soor, despite the main road being 20 yards away. If any other guests were loud, i coildnt hear them. All the emenities yoy need. The breakfast was sub par, ao dont count on that. Other than that, i will be stayingherw again thw next time im in Carlsbad.

Once we finally found the hotel, it looked old worn out and was in a sketchy area. We ended up not staying at all. Where afraid that our belongings would be stolen from our vehicle at night. We just left and drove down the road a bit and found another place to stay.

This property is an older typical-motel style facility with several one story and a couple of two story buildings and all doors open into the parking lot. There was plenty of parking and everything was well lit and seemed very safe and secure. I had booked a King-bed room but when we checked in they didn't have any remaining rooms on the ground floor but offered to change my reservation to a room with two Queen beds for the same price that were on the ground-level. The room could have been a little cleaner as the bathroom floor needed a good mopping, but overall was nice. There wasn't much water pressure in either of the lavatory faucets nor the shower. The breakfast was satisfactory - the food was more room temperature than hot but the sausage patties were good and seem homemade (atypical sizes and shapes, not all perfectly round).

We have stayed there years back and it was excellent service, the morning buffet was awesome back then. "NOT" this stay, Gael who checked us in and out was an excellent employee. "BUT" the king size mattress was horrible, a big sink whole. The air conditioner sounded like a jet and we were so disappointed in the buffet. It was nothing like before when we stayed. A few choices and not tasty at all. We will not stay there ever again. Back in the day it was the place to stay.

My first impression was good. Then I went to the room which was on the second floor with no elevators. I had to lug my stuff up the stars and down the next day. The door lock did not open, despite showing a green light. The mechanism was broken, was able to finally able to open the door after 3-4 tries. Finally figured out I would have to do that each time I went into the room. The breakfast was lacking. The Apple Juice was watered down yellow tinted water and the Orange Juice was orange colored water, both flavorless. There was no coffee dispenser, the staffs ask me if I wanted coffee, I said yes, but never received any. My wife walked to the front desk where there was a coffee dispenser to get some. They had pancakes, eggs, cereal, one flavor of yogurt. One of the staff was refilling the pancakes from one container to the serving container with her bare hands. There was one large bottle of hot sauce for the whole dining room.

The property is okay at best. The property is dated and requires upgrading. The pool is a mess. It was not cleaned on any of the 4 days spent at this property. The water is green and full of debris. Chlorine cakes littered the bottom of the pool for two days. We had trouble with housecleaning. Reading the information booklet in the room, it states to let the front desk know, when you would like house cleaning. At 8:30 am one morning we let them know we were ready, upon returning in the evening the room was not made up. When we called, we were told housecleaning had gone home. It was difficult to get a good night's sleep due to the mattresses and linens. The mattresses were hard, and the linens were rough. The complimentary breakfast was terrible. The service was great but the food was under cooked and cold. We were arriving at breakfast at 6:00 am, right at opening. So, if the food was cold then it would be colder later. Bottom line, there are other nicer places to stay for the same price range. I would pass on staying here; we will not be staying here again.
