Our only problem was the indoor pool was unavailable for our stay. I chose Sleep Inn because of their pool. This was the second night and second hotel of Spring Break whose pool was unavailable. My grandkids were quite sad.

Hotel was nice, rooms are clean and alright conditions (a little beat up). If you want to swim, I would go somewhere else the pool is very cold, and they don't have any way to heat it.

The pool was cold and cloudy. I am a pool service proffesional. The pool was under sanitized, probably infested with bacteria, cant see 1ft deep should have been closed. Front staff didnt care at all. I will never stay here again.

So the pool was under maintenance, our tv didn’t work when we got there (the front desk guy did come spend 20-30 minutes working on it and finally fixed it, so that’s a plus), our shower faucet looked like someone had pulled it out of the wall, and there was visible dirt and yuk in our room. At least the front seat guy was helpful… the only positive.

Room was good. Fitness center needs attention. Elliptical machine made a clicking sound with each step. Recumbent bike tension could not be adjusted. TV remote was not working. No towels.

We purposely reserved this hotel as they had an indoor pool. This pool was unusable, foggy water, gross. We left after one night. Our first room had a power outage, so we were moved to another room, smaller. In both rooms the sofa bed was filthy, cigarette burned and the sheets we were given when we asked didn’t fit. Don’t recommend.

We were here three nights, our room was never serviced, was told they only clean on certain days but did not inform us when we checked in about this, we had to go get towels ourselves. The pool was not heated like we were informed when booked. When we inquire about it was told they didn't know about it. Next day they said it was heated and they will have to turn it on.

The rooms was not cleaned had to sleep on dirty sheets .They told us help was short no clean bath towels .I stayed at this hotel for a week sleep on same sheets and used same bath towels .The manager did nothing to help get room cleaned or clean towels .I would not stay at this hotel every again .When I tried to talk to lady behind front desk she had nothing to say .I tried to call manager she would not answer the phone . Other people at hotel had problems and left one person the door would not open to his room they told him they would have to open the door for him every time he came back to hotel . This is piss poor manage and service .

We were excited based on all the good reviews, however, I was disappointed with this hotel. The room was not clean, lots of trashes be behind TV stands or corners of the room, hairs behind the mattress. The key was broken and we couldn't lock the door, had to ask for changing the room. Easily hear someone's footsteps. Overall, we are not satisfied with the stay.

The room was spacious and the breakfast was great! The only issues I had were the television was messed up and it took half an hour to get it on, the AC was mediocre (it said 60 but an actual thermometer said 70), and you could hear the cars racing down the road and people (we were on the 3rd floor).

Breakfast was like any other nothing really unique but I give it 3 stars. Wifi was stubbornly intermittent that's if you ever get connected so i give that 2 stars. There's an inside pool that looks decent to try and dip in I give it 3 stars. But what really got me annoyed was the little things you'd hope for like SLIPPERS!

This place gets a 1 star purely for service, or lack there of. While booking through Hotels.com we accidentally booked two hotels for the same night. We obviously did not realize this and called them the next day (the day we thought we had booked for) and asked if they could help us out. Obviously we were in the wrong and we weren’t asking for a refund, we just hoped if there was still a room available the next night, would they let us push the booking? No. Quite rudely was informed that it’s against their policy. We were a “No show” so we get to pay them for the room but not get to stay there. Cool. I don’t know about your family but $160 isn’t chump change. There was no effort to offer a discount or anything to try and win our business again. We are still going to Carlsbad. We still need a place to stay. This hotel/chain has lost a customer for life and you bet I will be telling everyone this story.

Nice facility, it was clean on the outside, our room was above average, and they had a good continental breakfast. An average Choice Hotel facility. The only complaint I have is that being handicapped and seniors, I think there ought to be a federal law about having a three story or higher hotel or motel with only one available elevator. Not only is it dangerous but it is inconvenient for all. That is the only negative thing I can say. I felt sorry for the desk staff because they undoubtedly have the slowest Internet Service Provider there is. The check in line wound all the way around the entryway because of slow internet. However, that may be the fastest they have in Carlsbad, NM. The TV worked well, and the bathroom was clean. I would give it a 4.5 if I could but we will go with four stars.

The room was clean and nice. The pool was very cold would of appreciated a heated pool at this time of year. Also the breakfast was a disappointment. Ran out of fruit and the eggs were rubbery and cold. I enjoyed the waffles and the oatmeal.

Thin walls made it very noisy. Needs updated plugs like usb for devices. Maybe time of year as it was busy but breakfast items were running out often. But other than that it was good. Friendly staff
