Red Lion Hotel Rogue Regency Medford Airport

Friendly staff, good hot breakfast for the hotel’s price range, aging building needs attention. A used plastic flossing pic was on the desk when we walked into the room. Looked like there were traces of mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. Our swimmer said his eyes burned from the chemicals in the pool: too thick and cloudy. He couldn’t swim long. Hot tub temp way too hot. Place has potential with some attention.

Pool and hot tub were closed. (The reason I chose it) The refrigerator in my room didn't work and leaked water all over the carpet. It was like that before we got there.

It is a great place to stay and park your car when flying from the Medford Airport. The shuttle is GREAT!!!

The floor upgrades on some of the rooms are awesome! I really appreciate hotels taking out old carpet. I always use the park and fly which is so convenient and affordable. Stayed here several times and never had a bad experience! Pet friendly rooms too!

Pool had a broken filtration system, the hotel knew about it and didn't fix it. Dirty coffee maker, dirty room, phone didn't work at all. So many broken things

The staff was very friendly and made checking in easy. The pool, although a bit of a walk was great, a little cold, but the hot tub made up for it.

We stay here whenever we come to Medford. It's an amazing hotel and you can't beat the price. Pool, hot tub, restaurant and bar.

We loved the on-site bar and dining. So convenient.

While the decor is dated this is an excellent value for the money. Restaurant and bar on site. Breakfast that was provided was limited. Lots of free parking. Staff is helpful.

Overall this was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. It wasn’t the most dirty or the most outdated but all things considered it is truly terrible. Check in was easy enough and the staff was kind. As soon as we entered the elevator it was obvious this hotel is in terrible condition. The elevator stunk and water leaked from the doors when they were open. The hallways smelled unpleasant and there were large gaps visible at the top of several doors to guest rooms. You could clearly hear conversations and TVs. Our room also smelled and was overall very dirty. Both bath towels provided were extremely musty and stained. One had multiple hairs in the fibers of the towel. I requested additional towels and got three more with stains. Nothing smelled like it had been cleaned with bleach. The bed was hands down the most uncomfortable and the pillows were worse. The extra blanket we asked for was full of holes, one being about 6 inches. The air conditioner was loose in the wall and the fan squeaked when it ran. The breakfast offerings were stale and flavorless other than the entree that was fresh cooked and tasty. Nothing else at breakfast was palatable. I wish I was being dramatic in this review but I can sincerely an honestly tell you will not enjoy your stay.

Quiet, clean, pet friendly. Pool was clean, Jacuzzi was nice. Is older, but all the sheets were fresh and clean.

The room was spotless and the staff was very courteous and accommodating.

personnel were friendly. Room was grubby . sink had beard shavings from previous guest, couch had dark stains of i don know what and don't want to know. not a pleasant experience.

Our room was not properly cleaned. The was trash under the beds. There was a roach in the pool area and the front desk guy walked into our room without permission 2 hours before check out just to see if we were still there. What if my fiance was but ass naked we would have had a sereouse issue. In my opinion I think I should be reimbursed at least half of what I payed because of these things

Very dirty room

Room had a very bad stench-discovered why. There was two trash cans under the sink with rotting food - not sure how long they were there, but it must had been awhile as the room stunk.

Friendly staff, clean and comfy room, this was a great spot for an overnight stay.

The staff was courteous. The room was spacious and clean. Important for our stay, they had elevators and several baggage carts available.

Spacious room. Friendly staff. Noisy person in room above us woke us at 4:45am and kept us awake. Pool too cold to swim in but nice hit tub. Breakfast choices good

We booked this hotel based on the great reviews. I wished we had stayed elsewhere. The property is a former Red Lion (or similar), great in its heyday, and shows its age. It is, very large, with multiple floors and good elevators and luggage carts. It is clean, the staff are very nice (especially the young person who checked us out at our departure.) The breakfast is decent, with cereal and hot breakfast sandwiches, some yogurt choices, a few typical hot dish choices, but very limited fresh fruit choices. The rooms are clean, have good amenities, and there are no terrible smells…and that is the end of the good bits. The mattresses and pillows are beyond awful. Truly terrible. My husband and I had to sleep in separate beds due to the springs poking through…visibly poking through…and my rolling into him constantly during the night. The pillows were rock hard. No adjustable fill, no feathers, just solid hard, old pillows. To make matters worse, they had hard pillow cover locks on them!! Hard plastic zipper locks on pillows!! OMG!! Neither of us slept more than 3 hours. It was horrible. Horrible. Hey, Management: Room 419 needs new mattresses and pillows. That was the absolute worst night’s “sleep” we’ve had in our entire 2-week trip. Based upon that, I cannot recommend this place for anyone. A good breakfast doesn’t make up for a sleepless night.

Quiet spacious rooms

A little dated, and the walls are paper thin, but good value.

We really liked the hotel and staff but for the love of God upgrade the mattresses. No support what so ever, mattress cover was ripped which exposed a very old and discolored foam only mattress ( not memory foam ) Room was 411

While I have stayed here long ago, I think they still have the same mattresses! Bed was very uncomfortable, pillows were rock hard and the air conditioning unit in room 347 was super loud. Will decide on other places next time in area

We stayed in a room with a connecting door. Unfortunately, the room on the other side was occupied by a couple or more people who were drunk and noisy. By 3am, it felt like we were part of the “Corn” movie for quite some time. I guess it’s better to check beforehand if the room has a connecting door!

Room was comfortable. Everything was very clean. Front desk said room looked out on a pretty courtyard but we couldn’t see anything due to high bushes in the way of the view. Room seemed a bit dark needed lights on

I was pleased with the size of the room and the in-room appliances. The rooms come with mini-fridges, a wet bar area and microwave. My fridge was not cold, so I pulled the unit forward and turned up the cooling dial. Very spacious area, so nice to relax. I had a room with 2 queen beds and it was very comfortable. My room overlooked the Motel 6 next door, so I would have a preference to the other front-facing side, but it was not an issue. The pool and spa area are at the far side of the hotel in a separate building. Breakfast was included and was acceptable (you request a breakfast sandwhich, which they will bring out to you), with access to cereal, fruit, yogurt, pastries/bread/bagels, juices and coffee. I highly recommend this as a budget friendly option. No EV chargers on site - Charging was a short drive away, so not an issue for me. Tesla destination chargers would level up my preference to stay there, however.

Our room reeked of cigarette smoke. While we were given a different room, the info must not have been recorded properly. At 11:00 pm a man tried to open our door and pounded on the door to gain entry. Early the next morning, housekeeping entered our room as they had not been alerted of the room change.

The only bad things I can say had to do with the woman who checked us in. She was shaming and berating. When I was told our room wasn't ready at the 3PM reservation time after traveling for 5 hours I said, "Oh huh uh" in disbelief to the gentleman that was helping me. She overheard that one phrase, and pushed the man out of the way and said, "I'll take over." Immediately she began shaming me telling me how rude I was. I was shook & in disbelief. She told me how the man that had started checking me in was new and how "they" weren't used to being met with "oh huh uh" when told rooms aren't ready. That man was unfazed and didn't seem to take what I said wrong at all. She asked me if I'd called in for early check in and I told her that it was after 3 PM, the check-in time on our reservation. She was so adamant that I kept apologizing over and over, to her and to anyone that could have possibly been "harmed" by what I'd thought was an innocent phrase; but, she wouldn't let it go. She seemed to enjoy shaming me. Ultimately she gave us a room that was ready. However, when I got home I checked my credit card statement only to find out she'd charged me at the counter for a reservation I'd already paid for online. Fortunately I was able to reach the front desk manager who was very friendly and reversed the overcharge. That said, with the exception of this mean spirited, unprofessional woman, our stay was nice. The room was clean and the rest of the staff seemed exceptional.

The guy who checked me in was aloof. He hates his job but has no ambition, so he treats customers with contempt. Same guy was there a year ago. He did not mention the breakfast, the WiFi or where to park or where my room was. The price is good for what you get. You are deep in trump country but I like Medford nonetheless. Be kind.

Alex the front desk guy who checked us in was so helpful, courteous and friendly. Pretty efficient. Love this guy. He checked us in last year too when we were here. Definitely a keeper.

Very convenient location close to the airport, carwash and gas stations close by that I vould quickly visit before returning my rental. The room was very quiet, and the continental breakfast served was one of the better ones I've experienced in the post covid era. Woulf stay again!

The property is conveniently located near shopping and dining.

Road redesign has made it a bit of a challenge to get into the hotel. Maybe some better signage for the turns would be beneficial

Place was OK for what it was. Staff was nice. But the property is a little bit of a strange area and the hotel is old and outdated. But for the price it was clean and safe.

Rooms clean, everything was do convenient, restaurant and the airport was just down the road, quick and easy to get to.

Expedia advertizes a cooked to order breakfast included. This is NOT available. There is a continental breakfast. When mentioning this to the manager, he simply said "that's Expedia. We told them we don't have that".

Staff were wonderful! However the hotel is really showing it's age. The furniture in the room was beat up and the bathroom while clean had chips in the tiles and floor. Thin curtains did not block the light and kept us awake. Breakfast was continental which is fine but several pans were empty and only one hard working person was there trying to keep up. Sad. They used to be better.

Do not expect the food you see in the pictures. Continental breakfast was horrid, and we had to go purchase breakfast in town.

Room was clean. Bed was okay. The lights, furniture, electronics, and appliances are all outdated. They switched to a continental breakfast which is not as good as the one they had before. Fine for a one night stay.

This is one of the greatest values that we’ve had on our trip. The room was very nice, and the staff was very accommodating. The beds were very comfortable as it was a very comfortable space for the three of us. However, the breakfast was very limited. It’d be nice to have eggs available and perhaps some protein that’s not pork or beef. It was just OK.
