Upon arrival we were told our accommodation was a very short drive away. Doable, but we would have appreciated knowing before booking. To get to our rooms on the second floor we had to drag our case up two flights in a dark narrow stairwell that was a sauna. It was hot outside and this unventilated, enclosed space was unbearable. We are seniors and had to rest between flights. It is an expensive BW and not worth the money

To begin the check-in front desk is a mile from the property. The outside door card key lock was not operational and it appears it has been for quite sometime. When your key doesn’t work, you have to drive a mile to the front desk to have them reactivated. If you are desperate for a room, this is your place.

Dated building and hallway but New bedding and floors, quiet, convenient location- weird that it was 1/4 mile from the check in building, no breakfast, extremely dark parking lot surrounded by woods - didn’t feel very safe

We booked this hotel because it had a pool. Hoover upon checking in we were informed that we were staying in building that are not on the same property but 5 min away by car and not walkable to the pool. The kids were very disappointed and so were we. This is purely called false advertisement... More importantly our key cards stopped working and when we tried to get back after dinner we were stuck outside the building. We had to call the front desk and wait until someone brought new cards, while holding a crying baby that wanted nothing else than to go to sleep. Other guests told us the same happened to them so brace yourself for similar adventures... Bathroom ameneties were limited. Beds were not properly made. Even with a good price, not worth the money

The check in was strange to me because you need to check into a building that's a few blocks from the hotel. The hotel is only 2 levels but if you have any handicap needs, let them know because there is no elevator. The staircases were steaming hot, not sure why they weren't air conditioned like the rest of the place. There is a telephone outside the door if you need to call the front office. The room itself was good, it was clean and had a microwave and small refrigerator. Within 5 miles you will find several restaurant choices.

We went to check into the hotel and we weren't told about the holding fee on our card. I only had cash on me and they couldn't take that. The service was VERY slow, took a good 20 min to a half hour to be checked in. When we got checked in, they sent us to another building that did NOT have the pool. (The only reason I booked with this hotel was so the kids I brought could swim when we got there). When we went to the building we were staying in, we couldn't figure out the key cards, they were not working with the door to get in. Overall, I was very frustrated and annoyed. I think they should've told us about the fee and the fact that the pool was at a different location from the room we were staying at. They definitely could've been faster with service (I had kids in the car waiting) and they could've explained the keycards and how they worked.

We stayed one night to do some shopping in the area. The hotel was ok. There was a terrible odor as soon as we walked onto the floor we were on and our room had it as well. The tub needs to be replaced, it was all rusted but the worst part was the black mold around it. Overall for one night it was fine but beyond that probably wouldn’t recommend.

For the price it was ok. The room/ hallway had a weird smell, it felt very moist in the room, and there was rust in the bathtub. The bed was comfy, I wish they had normal size pillows, but overall decent.

The refrigerator was the noisiest fridge I ever encountered!! It woke me several times during the night and if I didn’t have things in it I would have unplugged it. As a personal matter the bed was a little soft but that’s my issue, not the hotels. Very good in room coffee

Pleasantly surprised at the updated room and calm area. Only real issue was the unit upstairs - we were on the 1st floor and you could hear every single step from above and thumping all night. Not sure if sound proofing is needed or if the people were just super heavy-footed but unfortunately it ruined 2/3 nights for us. We would definitely stay here again though - would just recommend asking for a top floor unit.

We travel with two dogs, and we have had three very positive experiences at this Best Western. The beds are comfortable, no WiFi problems, very convenient location, VERY friendly employees, AND the pet-friendly rooms are in a building looking out over a beautiful saltwater marsh.

The third story room we had was top notch. It was brand new and tidy. Unfortunately it was also right next to the door leading to the main stairs everyone used to get from the parking lot. So non-stop creaks and groans and the occasional slam well after our bed time. There was a broken window in the stairwell that was stuck open. And no one (us included)seemed to be able to unlock the outside door with their room key, so it was propped open with a rock most of the time. Not the safest situation. The view was lovely. Overlooking the inlet with wildlife to entertain. The lodging in Maine was expensive, and we chose this property because of the rate. The man at the front desk was very nice. We did not encounter any other staff during our stay.

We got a refurbished room, which was nice. It had the quietest AC unit I've ever experienced in a hotel, which was great. The tub could use a good scrubbing though, was the only thing. Just a few miles from Freeport, but out of all the traffic!

Unfortunately, we did not arrive until 2am and the office was closed. Our card was still charged for the room. We were not happy as we had to hunt down a place to stay. However, the next morning we returned to the office to ask to credit the room back to our card and the assistant manager was super helpful and made it happen. He was apologetic and even made hot chocolate for my son. Definitely call ahead if you plan to arrive after 1:30am to let them know. If we're in the area again, we will definitely stay here.

My wife and I had a horrible experience with front desk staff. We parked on lawn in front of hotel as there was an opening near the restaurant and got yelled at by staff member. We identified ourselves as hotel guests after moving to another spot. Second staff member was rude as well. My wife just asked for respect and courtesy in tone. She wax then cursed at and threatened with assault by female staff member, confronting her outside of front desk. Is this hospitality?

The staff was outstanding, providing service above and beyond expectations during our stay and especially afterward. We initially had a problem with our TV hookup which Keith fixed for us almost immediately after we called him. Most impressively, we left an item in our room and Keith and his staff found the item and held it for us to pick up on our trip home. Truly outstanding.

24 hour desk is in a separate building from both facilities, requiring a walk from one building and car trip from another. Desk is under staffed and staff left the desk without service twice while we were there to transport patrons. Housekeeping was inconsistent and sloppy. A Master Key that allowed access to every room was left in our room. Bed was never made. On our final day the housekeeping staff appeared to be a couple of teenage boys that seemed ill prepared for the job. Didn't get towels one day and when we asked for them the 24-hour desk was too busy to get them. We weren't able to get information about our bill, again, because the front desk was too busy. Twice several people were dropped off after their flights were diverted, only to find out they were housed in the facility that required a drive - and none of them had a car. Their cabs left and the hotel does not supply transportation. Some were reluctantly taken to their rooms by the only person at the front desk - leaving this unstaffed. The front desk staff were invariably pleasant and willing to help but understaffed and overworked. No elevator was available at the facility requiring a drive. This should be made clear on the website. Not everyone can manage carrying their luggage up stairs. The television only had a few channels the first 3 days and went through a long booting up process each time it was turned on. We had HBO and a good selection the last night. The phone didn't work and no one cared.

Booked two rooms, front desk moved us to adjacent owned building in order for the rooms to be next to each other. Professional staff. Thought breakfast was included, but found after arrival that breakfast was available from the restaurant nearby - a bit disappointed about that.

Property was clean and easy to get to. Several food options up the road from the hotel. I as looking forward to using the pool but it is an outdoor pool and it was too cold the day we had time. I do wish they included breakfast since most BW do but overall was a great stay

The television did work, but, the Directv did not . Consequently we could not watch any television. There was no paper or pen in the room to leave housekeeping a not that there was no television reception. There was no breakfast served because it is located beside a cafe. there was a waiting line of over a dozen people waiting to get in for breakfast. 25 degrees outside so we left.

This property has just changed hands. The new Mgt. company seems to want to make improvements. The front desk clerks were friendly and helpful. My room was clean but had a disinfectant smell to it. They need to replace the heating units because it was either too hot or too cold. The shower pressure was great as was having a good sized refrigerator, microwave and Kerrig coffee maker in the room. There is a breakfast restaurant on the property. I didn’t try it but it was always busy when I drove by. All that to say I was happy with this hotel and would stay here again.

Two facets of our stay were NOT perfect. One was the dificulty we had repeatedly with our door keys. They are clearly old, damaged or inferior. And one reson we chose the Freeport Inn was that the websie claimed dining was available. It said 'dining', not just breakfast and lunch at a cafe that closes at 2pm. Everything else was great.

Easy check in and out. Room was easy to find and there were minimal steps to the 3rd floor as the building is on a hill. Very clean, bed comfortable, quiet location, close to freeport if you want to shop the outlets. The cafe on the property serves homemade meals that are large and delicious. There was just no downside, and we definitely will stay there again when in the area.

It was away from traffic noise in the woodland side so nice but normally Best Western's offer a breakfast or some Beverages and continental breakfast in the early mornings and nothing not even coffee, Was a breakfast apart from the Hotel but nothing was free not a cup of coffee or tea. we travelled all the way to Florida with Best Western and they all had something to accomodate the travelers. Will not stay their again.

I highly recommend you try the restaurant next door called “Days Crabmeat & Lobster!” Great food right next door! Pool was great. Wish there was continental breakfast. Overall a great stay! Will be returning.
