Very dark in the area around the hotel

Property in desperate need of a full renovation, given a cost of paint instead. If it was advertised and priced as a dive it would be easier to stomach.

Really enjoyed parking our car right outside the door to our room. Very convenient. It was nice being able to eat right there instead of going out to find breakfast.

It's an older facility which overall is okay. The outside parking lot and decorative shrubbery need some work.

The lodge was clean, but shabby. Everything needed paint. The wood siding was rotting. The clerk who checked us in was delightful. The one this morning couldn’t bother to smile. For $220+ I expected better

Clean, but entrance from highway was very dark. Outside area around office was not lighted very well either. I felt unsure of safety upon approaching. Desk clerk was very welcoming .

After staying a night or two we were getting back to the parking lot just after dark and a man was sitting in his car screaming and hitting things. Scared our oldest to no end. Then 2 nights later there was a couple having some sort of dispute which lasted hours. Despite the huge disturbance around midnight, nothing was being done about it. Overall we were quite displeased with our stay. Great price but not worth the safety of my children.

Check in was fine but we were upset with check out guy. We explained him our concern but he did not seem to care about our complaint about noise. He said he was not there last night. A group of people, don’t know hor many, drank in front of our room and talked loudly derogatory language involving sexual content. I did not want my 10 year old son to hear this. Called reception and receptionist spoke to them twice but they kept doing the same thing shortly after receptionist went back. Not only did we feel disturbed we also felt intimidated. They used front of our room like a gathering please to drink and have night club conversation.

Super outdated room and a bit busy at late night in parking lot.

Old and worn

Last minute reservations - bed linens NOT changed as hairs found on pillows and sheets. Someone had puked on the stairs and it was not cleaned up until sometime later. Very nauseating

Walk in was ok, got to room and the damp humid room was smelly and floor sticky. Blood stain on sheet and pillow case. Gross!!! Not coming here again.

Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel started off on the wrong foot. During check-in, the front desk staff member was noticeably unfriendly and seemed impatient with even basic questions. We had also called ahead to confirm some details, and the same attitude came through on the phone — rushed and dismissive. Once in the room, cleanliness was clearly not a priority. I found hair in the shower, which was off-putting, and to make matters worse, there were old French fries and dried ketchup inside the room’s heating unit. Overall, the poor service and lack of cleanliness made for a very disappointing experience

Clean room

Terrible place. So dirty, especially the bathroom. Appeared to be fecal material under the rim. Staff came to look - then wiped it with tissue (no glovers worn) and then smelled it and said "this is not poo". Actually offered the tissue to us! So disgusting. We checked out next day and sent to a Best Western that was great! Don ever stay here!!!

Sheets were stained, TV barely worked, Tub drain was broken and I had to use a plastic spoon to keep it open so it would drain. Not to mention the god awful sound from the AC unit and smell of cig smoke

Very clean and comfortable!

I knew that this is a cheap hotel, but the place was not clean. The bedspread had stains, the shower curtain was moldy, and the whole place smelled musty. The breakfast was disappointing, and when I tried to call the front desk, they hung up on me. We stayed at another Econolodge back a few months ago and it was way better. I would never stay here again.

Yes the staff was excellent and the prices was great and the rooms were clean and comfortable

The Motel is solidly built and therefore quiet.

Cheap, a little bit much in terms of the room though. The side tables were being pulled off the wall and the bed basically screamed when you got on and off it. It wasnt uncomfortable though. Pretty quiet except for creaking from those above but that's the building, we didn't hear voices or tvs. Not the cleanest but the bedding wasn't horrible and that's the important thing. Not super bad, it's pretty decent compared to other places.

Friendly front desk. Nice and updated room

The guy that checked us in was super nice, check in was very easy. The room was as advertised but noticable stains on towels, walls in and out of bathroom. Heating/AC unit incredbly loud as was the (surprisingly HUGE) mini fridge. If it weren't for the noise, honestly I wouldn't have been as bothered by the cleanliness.

Decent. Just didn’t like smelling smoke in a nonsmoking room. Seemed to be coming from vent in bathroom.

Clean, comfortable room with vinyl flooring, excellent bathroom, no mold and in great repair. A bit noisy, but good value. Breakfast was a bit lack luster.

I recently stayed in Room 205, and unfortunately, my experience was not great due to a serious issue with the in-room AC unit. The unit had a mechanical malfunction that caused extremely loud noises during the cooling process—almost like a tractor starting up—which would trigger every 45 minutes throughout the night. This resulted in a completely sleepless night during the summer heat. I informed both the owner and the receptionist about the noise, but the issue was taken lightly, and I was told to "deal with the sound." The noise level was high enough to feel like a health hazard, and even now, my ears are still adjusting from the disruption. On the positive side, I appreciated that the room was spacious, well-painted, and equipped with a working TV, bathroom, refrigerator, and microwave oven. The food was served hot, although there were limited options. Given the discomfort and the fact that it was not a healthy environment for rest or sleep, I would like to request a partial refund for my stay. A comfortable sleeping environment is essential, and unfortunately, that was not the case here. I hope you can look into this matter seriously so future guests don’t have to face a similar experience. But still I recommend this hotel for friends for location and local things proximity.

For the price this hotel is a home run! The outside is dated but the 2nd floor room we had was recently renovated. The room was beautiful and large. The bed and linens were clean and good quality. The room was spotless when we arrived. It's in a great location, right next to a brewery and less than 5 minutes from the outlets.

Basic no frills, floor of tub and bed were very squeaky, stayed upstairs o feel it was overpriced at $147 for such a basic room

Nice King bed, loved the pillows. Had Continental breakfast style,in lobby. Room had fridge, microwave, coffee. Standard motel room. Parked in front of my door! Great for our 1 night stop!

Keys wouldn’t work, was given two more keys which also didn’t work. Ended up moving rooms, only one key worked and then the next morning neither worked. The gentleman at the counter was visibly bothered by me asking for help. Just an unpleasant encounter. When I was actually able to get into the room it was clean, no problems there.

I meant to book the room in Auburn Maine. I called him because I booked it through hotels and hotels said he had to cancel it to see if he would cancel it so I could book the proper motel which was 40 minutes away. He refused to cancel it non-American. Rude

The staff were amazing! Very very helpful. And the dining space was spotless. Please extend my sincere appreciation for their assistance with my phone cord problem!!!

I ended up cancelling this stay, and i was told by the front desk that i will get a refund, and the manager will reply to expedia about my refund. its over a week later and there is no response by management there about my refund and i am being charged for the complete stay when i didnt stay a single night.

I liked that there was everything that you might need from shopping to dining right there around the location.

Good basic hotel just 5 minutes from downtown Freeport. Right off the highway but still quiet. Nothing fancy but reasonably priced.

It was a nice location

Very disappointed with the continental breakfast. Nothing was available and the facility was dirty overall.

Basic but comfortable. Good breakfast but the coffee was awful. Minor issue!

Beds were comfortable enough. Liked the proximity to the outlet stores. Place just seemed tired and grungy. "Breakfast" was a joke - very limited selection and was not replenished despite advertising that it was served between 7 - 10. There was nothing left at 9 and when we asked about it, we were handed a banana and muffin.

The hotel appears to have upgraded the rooms. They are very clean and modernized with nice furniture and amenities. However, the outside of the building and property are in much need of repair, paint and landscaping. The outside makes it look like a cheap roadside motel. With the right first impression, this place which is in a great location, would probably see more travelers stop to stay. A little flowers planted, bushes and trees trimmed etc. could make a big difference. In addition, a better breakfast area with more hot food choices besides a waffle maker, would be nice as well. We went out for breakfast to a local cafe instead. The breakfast offered was not very desirable.

Shows its age. Breakfast poor. Priced right as least expensive in the area.

There was nothing wrong with it, but an older property. Breakfast did have a waffle maker. There was toast, muffins and yogurt.

Beds were very uncomfortable. Water for shower did not get hot, stayed luke warm. Breakfast area very conjested. Difficult to find seating and food items limited and in short supply.

The people were so nice. Breakfast was good and it was clean and comfortable. I was very happy with our stay.

Need more choices on Continental breakfast.
