Upon arrival at the location, the building appeared to be dark, drab and dirty from the outside. Unfortunately, entering the side door was no different. The walls were filthy. The door was disgustingly dirty. Once inside of the building, the disgust continued! The carpet looked filthy, floors were sticky, the lobby smelled like mildew and mold with no air circulation. The elevator walls looked grimy and untouchable! At my husband’s request, I “gave it a chance although in my mind… I’d already decided that I wasn’t staying in this facility. Against my better judgment, we preceded to the 14th floor. For some reason I think he thought things would get better? Well, they didn’t! There was more filthy carpet and sticky floors. The metal plates on the doors were rusted and the walls, baseboards, carpet, and the doors were filthy! The room itself looked like a typical hotel room. It was on the small side and stuffy. We decided that we were not staying there! As we left, I spoke with the front desk and informed them of our displeasure and total disgust that we would not be staying there for the evening. The desk staff heard me out and handled my complaints well. We were directed me to contact the original “booking site” as this was third party reservation. We’ve made a complaint with the booking site via email and are waiting to hear from them for a refund.

The check in process was lengthy, as the housekeeping staff was not getting rooms cleaned timely. Multiple people were waiting to get checked in because most were there for the game at paycor stadium. Kudos to the individuals working the desk! They were stressed as many were complaining, but they handled things appropriately and maintained their positive demeanor

The room was very clean and the air conditioner was cold but the highway noise is loud. I couldn’t sleep. The bartender didn’t show up and we wanted a bite to eat so we walked to Waffle House, not a very convenient area. It was neat to stay in this old, round hotel but it needs a lot of TLC!
