We only stayed one night but really loved this place! Very clean and in a great part of the city. A little bit of a hike up a lot of stairs to get to the castle but fun to hike if you are prepared for that. Really no parking even though it advertises that there is parking nearby. We had to park far away and walk back. Overall we would recommend Villa Marstall if you are ok with walking.

The location was great. Annie and Ursula were very friendly and helpful! The breakfast was exceptional. Annie was very attentive to us. However, it would have been incredibly helpful if the hotel would have sent us some communication regarding no on-site parking and parking options, especially when arriving in the middle of a Fall Festival.

Sehr freundliches Personal an der Rezeption (diese ist allerdings tatsächlich auch tagsüber nicht durchgehend besetzt). Tolle Lage direkt in der Altstadt, dadurch ist die Anreise mit dem Auto sehr nervig (man muss ein Stück durch die Fußgängerzone, kann schlecht vor dem Hotel halten und das Auto muss dann in einem öffentlichen Parkhaus untergebracht werden - die sind zwar nicht weit entfernt aber zumindest Samstags alle voll). Schöne und saubere Zimmer, nicht riesig aber ausreichend.

Highly recommend staying at the Hotel Villa Marstall as it's a classic and very beautiful hotel to stay while visiting Heidelberg. Very walkable area to the Alstadt area and the Hiedelberg local attractions. The breakfast is fresh and tasty. The only challenge is parking. There is no parking at the hotel itself due to the narrow streets. One can park in any number of garages ranging from 15-30 minutes walking time. Regardless, LOVE my visit to the Hotel Villa Marstall. 5 gold stars!

Parking is not good near the hotel and you will have a 5 minute walk to get to your car. The hotel is good about parking close to unload your luggage on arrival and load it back up when leaving.

The after hours check in was a little wonky but the staff are very helpful. The hotel is very convenient to central Heidelberg. Parking is a major challenge but doable with a parking garage about 500M away.

Arrived for a 2 day stay in Heidelberg to in-jet lag myself an enjoy the city. My room was clean and comfortable and the location was fantastic…an easy less than 5 minute walk to die Alte Brucke and 5-7 minute walk to the Alt Stadt Coty Square

This hotel is in an excellent position next to the river and a short walk from the Altstadt. Although we were next to the road our room was quiet, as well asimmaculately clean and simple We were disappointed by the very limited reception hours ( nothing after 15.30) and room cleaning only on request which we thought was poor for the price of the room. We managed the self check- in without difficulty but that and the lack of reception support made the place feel soulless. Unusual too not to have a kettle or any other means of making a hot drink.

O hotel é excelente. Pequeno, muito bem localizado dentro do centro histórico, 10 min de caminhada para o funicular que leva ao castelo. Vista para o Rio Neckar. Café da manhã muito bom. Limpíssimo, staff bem simpático!

Beautiful location right on the river with views of the bridge and just a short stroll to all the best Old Town has to offer. Staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean and has everything you need. You will love the historic sightseeing filled walk to the tram up to the castle. The bus stop is right in front of this boutique hotel. Perfect for a getaway in Heidelberg. And make sure to grab a meal at Vetter's Alt Heidelberger Brauhaus. Perfection!

Muy bonito, un poco apretada la habitación. La ubicación es inmejorable, frente al Néctar y unos pasos de la plaza pirncipal y el castillo. Mi única molestia es que no hicieron la habitación, aún cuando deje puesto en la cerradura la solicitud correspondiente.

We loved staying here! The hotel was in a fantastic location, located on the river. The location was lively, but quiet inside the room. We absolutely loved the view of the river out the window! Everywhere was in walking distance and the staff were friendly.

Nice villa right on the river and a block over from the pedestrian zone. The top floor suite was clean and comfortable, although a tall person would have issues walking around with the slanted ceilings.

The staff were really friendly. We got the loft on the top floor with views standing in the open windows to the castle and bridge which was wonderful. The bed was comfortable and spacious. The ceiling height was a little low given the type of building but that can’t be helped. Walking distance to the castle and bridge and many eateries. We arrived after hours and had no trouble getting in as they sent us the codes. The parking situation was trickier. We arrived at 5Pm and the instructions to drive down a very narrow cobbled street where there were also heaps of people walking and tables and chairs out for restaurants was confusing (it didn’t look like a street). We couldn’t find anywhere else to park to drop our luggage so ended up having to walk it from parking lot 12, which nearly broke the wheels On my suitcase due to cobble stones (I started wheeling it on the road instead). Apart from that it was an enjoyable stay in Heidelberg!

This is a gorgeous place to stay! The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, the property is impeccable and superbly located on the Necker a few minutes walk from the Alte Brücke. My room was a single on the top floor, small but more than adequate for a single guest, charmingly decorated, with a skylight window and a small (and useful) fridge was included. I didn’t try the breakfast but I will next trip, as I will surely return to this jewel of a hotel!

As with any place in this part of Europe, the rooms can be a bit warm this time of year, but I don’t believe this was much of a problem as there was a fan in the room and fantastic windows. I highly recommend this place to anyone couple looking to travel. The staff also provided fantastic dinner recommendations and spoke perfect English.

The Villa Marshall was lovely, the room was pretty and comfortable. The bed was comfy and the shower had good water pressure. The breakfast was abundant and delicious. Best of all was Jessica who runs the desk. She was very friendly and speaks perfect English. She was very helpful organizing a cab and a shuttle for an early morning trip to Frankfurt airport. It was a wonderful stay!

First of all-- the staff were incredible! They personally messaged several days ahead of checking in to confirm our expected arrival time, and offered recommendations for travel to Heidelberg from the Frankfurt Airport that was super helpful. We ended up arriving just as the hotel staff were starting their day, and they promptly led us to our room so we could immediately try to alleviate the jet lag! The rooms are delightful and very spacious. Breakfast in the cozy and historic cellar is charming. And of course so much of old Heidelberg is so close. It's a delightful place to stay!

Front desk staff was very nice and we were able to check in earlier than expected which was a relief after a long flight. The room was so pretty, with a view out over the river. The vaulted cellar was also a great space with a nice variety for breakfast. We were able to leave our bags at the hotel the day of checkout while we explored more of Heidelberg. Would stay here again!

Loved the location, cleanliness, style and hospitality of the hotel. The breakfast was delicious and definitely worth it. My only feedback is that the reception staff is not on all day and so for our arrival, we stressed about getting there on time as our flight was delayed.

Villa Marstall is conveniently located right on the river in the heart of the old town, close to the Alte Brucke bridge. There are bars and restaurants just steps away. Our room was large and airy with a 12 foot ceiling and looked out at the river. A huge four poster bed, a couch and easy chair graced the room. Everything was spotlessly clean. The hotel staff were always friendly and helpful, as were the kitchen staff in the charming breakfast area in the cellar. Breakfast is 15 euros and well worth it. We loved our stay and highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful location right on the river with views of the bridge and just a short stroll to all the best Old Town has to offer. Staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean and has everything you need. You will love the historic sightseeing filled walk to the tram up to the castle. The bus stop is right in front of this boutique hotel. Perfect for a getaway in Heidelberg. And make sure to grab a meal at Vetter's Alt Heidelberger Brauhaus. Perfection!

Highly recommend staying at the Hotel Villa Marstall as it's a classic and very beautiful hotel to stay while visiting Heidelberg. Very walkable area to the Alstadt area and the Hiedelberg local attractions. The breakfast is fresh and tasty. The only challenge is parking. There is no parking at the hotel itself due to the narrow streets. One can park in any number of garages ranging from 15-30 minutes walking time. Regardless, LOVE my visit to the Hotel Villa Marstall. 5 gold stars!

This is the cutest hotel close to everything. The only issue we had was where to park. Hotel should instruct where to park in their check in instructions. Breakfast was outstanding and they were very accommodating. Highly recommend.

We can’t say enough good things about our stay at this property! The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful as this was our first stop on our Germany vacation! They made us feel welcome! The room was very cozy and comfortable! We loved the location as it is close to shopping and to the castle! Highly recommend this hotel! Also, the breakfast was wonderful!

Very nice and cozy hotel very close to the historical center without being right on the busy street. Nice view of the river from the room. Breakfast was not worth the cost, would rather reccomend going to the nearby bakery. Would have loved a kettle to make coffee/ tea in the room.

We had an amazing stay. My wife and I had a great first floor room overlooking the small square and my daughter was on the top floor in the cutest room with skylights and an amazing view of the river. The staff was wonderful and friendly and the Früstuck war ausgezeichnet! I highly recommend this small boutique hotel to all travelers!

We loved having breakfast in the cellar! Unique atmosphere and delicious food and beverages. Air conditioning was nonexistent and it was unseasonably hot in May so that one aspect needs improvement!! Otherwise, manager Jessica was super helpful! Also, Sofia in the cellar dining room, was pleasant and friendly! Charming grounds and location to nearby attractions like the Heidelberg schloss and the town can’t be beaten! Felt very safe and bed was comfy! Altogether, a great value for the price!
