Air conditioner did not cool room down, one of the 2 elevators were broken so everyone had to use 1 functioning elevator. Also the elevator that goes down to the parking garage was down one day. I am a lifetime gold Marriott member I will be changing to Hilton, I was in town for sons wedding and we could not get cooled down coming back to the hotel.

Wonderful hotel within easy walking distance to Old Town Alexandria. Lots of dining options right around hotel. Beds were very comfortable and room was plenty spacious. Great shuttle to/from airport. And rail service was within easy walking distance for easy access to Washington DC.

Love staying at this hotel for work. Great grocery store next door with grab-and-go meals and snacks. Rooms recently redone are large and comfortable. The gym is also fairly well-equipped. They have an airport shuttle, which I use if it's raining, otherwise I love the 15-20 minute walk to the nearest metro station to stretch my legs before my train ride home. It's also close to lots of restaurants and the neighborhood is safe to walk in the evening.

Overall the room and facilities were excellent. Breakfast was good and worth the added expense for the convenience. Parking seemed unreasonable at $32 per day but maybe that's common for this area? I'm just not used to paying it plus we had 2 vehicles with us and parking was exremely tight in the parking garage for a truck or SUV. Very nice rooms and overall good value.

I loved Everything about my stay except for 2 things. The 32 dollars per night parking was a bit expensive. I believe they need to change the process for leaving the parking lot once your stay is over. We had to push a button to call the service desk at the gate for them to let us out. It would be simpler to allow the person to keep the key and drop it off at the gate instead of having to call into the desk to have them let you out.

Great hotel! Just make sure you keep your key if you want to get out of the parking garage at checkout. After you use it to get out of the garage there is a box to drop it in. Thats not explained very well

I usually rely on this location once a year, I like the convenience and the friendly staff members. I also love how flexible they are with check in times. This year, my room had ants by the bathroom sink, dusty towels, and hair on the pillows and sheets. I did mention the ants, but I didn’t mention the other things since I was just in the room long enough to eat and sleep for a few days and it seemed kind of silly to complain about. It did end up making me uncomfortable though.

This hotel was EXTREMELY CLEAN!! The bathroom, the towels, the bedsheets - everything was immaculate. No weird smells, no stray hairs, no gross/unknown markings. Everything worked and there weren't any broken/non-working door knobs, lights or remotes. The property was beautiful and in close walking distance to two grocery stores. The staff was extremely nice and professional I really enjoyed my stay!

The room had a musty/mold smell. The first couple of nights we woke with respiratory heaviness. The air filter on hvac was caked with dust and mold from a/c dripping on it . We tried to change rooms but front desk said we needed to talk to manager who never responded. We were in a Confrence all day and gone when we returned. The air filters have never been changed , dust around all vent openings as well . If you want to get sick stay here .

This was one of the worst hotel experiences i have had, primarily because the air conditioning in our room was not working and the hotel response was inadequate. The room was warm when we checked in, and did not cool off despite several attempts to adjust the thermostat. When I finally called the second day, I was told the staff knew the air-conditioning wasn't working, but didn't inform us at all. They did not offer to help us change rooms. They promised a fan, which didn't show until I called again. They said it was "being worked on," but there was no air conditioning during our 3-night stay. What frustrated me the most was the lack of communication and response. They did not say anything until we called. There was no offer of extra water, ice, more fans, a different room, or anything.

It was a nice room, but small for a suite. I got the studio suite and I found it claustrophobic. I actually ran into the couch with my backside as I entered the room with my luggage since it was so close to the door. I enjoyed that the living area was separate from the sleeping area and the room darkness was great (with the exception of the green TV light blinking at me). The AC was insufficient and weak so I was hot most of the night, which I didn't like. There is a thermostat where you have the illusion that you can control the AC, but it was so ineffective like it was malfunctioning. I got in around 2 am, so I upset but too tired to care. The shower was nice and the water pressure was not as good as my house, so if you have long thick hair you may be rinsing for a while. The bedcovers are weirdly designed, uncomfortable, and seemed connected to the sheets...? I could smell the previous person on the bedcover so I tried to separate it from the sheet so I could use the sheet alone but it was stuck in the weird duvet-ish cover so I had to deal with the stranger's funk on the blanket right near my face which made sleeping more difficult. Beautiful location though and the ride back to the airport was lovely. They offer a friendly shuttle service and a great looking menu of to-go breakfasts for purchase on the way to the airport. It's also about 10 minutes away from the DCA. The price wasn't worth what they were offering for such a small room.

Reserved two queens, got a king and a fold out couch. Hotel blamed hotels.com. AC was broken, took the engineer two trips to fix it and it was really hot in the room. We had registered 4 guests, only two towels, they had to bring up more. Opened the couch (which left us with one chair for 4 people) and it was covered with a flat sheet. No blanket, pillows or top sheet, had to bring up bedding. The teen agers had to sleep sideways on the uncomfortable couch bed as there was the bar in the middle that was painful to sleep on. Also, only flat sheet on bed which scrunched up during the night and left me sleeping on the mattress pad (yuck). Returned from a long day out the next day after dinner and room had not been cleaned. The lack of a fitted sheet left the bed a mess. Left us with a mountain of wet towels as there was no where to hang them up. They brought us more when we complained. Trash was overflowing. When couch was open you couldn't get by it to get into bathroom, so we moved the table and bumped our head on the lamp every time we walked by. Fridge was just "cool" when turned all the way up, no freezer compartment for the blue ice. Parking garage was a nightmare to park in - small spaces surrounded by giant pillars. They upped the price $50/day from the time I looked in the morning until I booked in the afternoon. Certainly not a $300/night room. Not near the metro and not even near the bus that circulated around town. Shuttle only went to the airport.

We found the staff(especially Camille and Maide ) very accommodating and friendly. Very knowledgeable of good restaurants to eat at. The shuttle driver treated the passengers like VIPs. He would bring down the step stool to assist the passengers getting up/off the shuttle everytime. The maintenance people were quick to fix the drain issue in the bathroom. Cookies and fruits were available everyday as snacks for free. The layout of the lobby and outside courtyard were superbly done where guests could sit and enjoy their own privacy.Truly we found a gem of a hotel. We will definitely be back when in the area.

There was only one working eleavator to the room floors. My check-in was not the best. My first room was not what I reserved, then the second room the door wouldn't open due to a dead battery and the front desk clerk expected me to wait while they got someone to fix the issue (not acceptable at all). I let her know that was not acceptable and though she wasn't forthcoming about getting me another room, I let her know I would not accept waiting and I wanted another room. Finally the third room was what I reserved. I also asked for a discount since I was not happy about a check-in that should have been at most 10 minutes that ended up taking more than and close to 40 minutes. I am still waiting on a discount for a future stay. I would definitely choose the hotel again as it is in a great location. There needs to be additional training at the front desk when a customer is having check-in issues. After I finally got checked in up until my departure it was a great time and the children enjoyed themselves as well.

Booked a Club level room. Told at check in that Club services are not available. 😢 Bought breakfast for 2. Told at check in can’t bring it back to room. My husband is disabled so eating downstairs is not an option. Very disappointed!!

The Sheraton is in North Old Town, and is super convenient to everything. It’s a short walk to the restaurants and shops of King Street, but there are lots of amazing dining options nearby too. The property is very modern and there is underground parking. I will definitely be back!

This is a very comfortable property with spacious rooms and friendly staff. It is about a 15 minute walk from the center of Old Town Alexandria, so convenient yet quiet. We appreciated the excellent bar and staff to relax in after a busy day.

As a frequent traveler I've been to many hotels across the US. Thus was the worst stay I've experienced. This hotel offers nothing stated in description-no pool, no spa, no parking voucher. Breakfast was horrible. At check in we were provided with no information on the property, none in room either. The language barrier was significant and extra $150 in charges that are not explained on the receipt. Lastly, we purchased breakfast through the app and we didn't receive any information about how to access the prepaid buffet. When we asked we were told they dont see it on the website third booking but they would provide breakfast anyway. Just dont book here. Parking is expensive and the whole trip was a bust.
