The only reason we did not give this hotel an Excellent rating was because they charged for parking when it appeared to us that there was ample parking for the hotel; given no other businesses sharing the parking lot. We felt that the charge for parking was inexplicable and exorbitant.

Stay was comfortable. Breakfast was great. Only hiccup is that you have to get a different key from front desk to access the pool. They don’t tell you that when you check in or on the app. Parking is $11 a night with your discount.

Stayed many times at this location Conveniently located for me, clean, updated, nice pool , very comfortable beds. Only draw back is paying for parking, especially when you need to do it online. Inconvenient.

I liked the rooms, the friendliness of the staff, and all the options they had for breakfast. I also liked the lounge area and the cold drinks they put out every day. I didn't like that they didn't have a storage area for out bicycles. I also didn't like that you had to not only pay for parking but the parking was outsourced to a different company. It was also inconvenient that you needed to get another key to access both the swimming pool and the workout facilities.

The staff (especially the night crew) were extremely accommodating before and after arrival. Check-in was quick and easy. I booked 2 rooms and each were spacious. The free breakfast offered a variety of options within a 4 hour time window. The property is nicely decorated in and outside. The pool was nice with towels at the door. Overall, it was a perfect stay.

Paying for the hotel parking was odd--you had to do it on your cellphone. It was 10 dollars a day and they charged an additional $4 for using a credit card payment. Seemed strange. But my main complaint is with pool access. You have to sign a form and get a new pool key everyday of your visit. This is highly unusual. I travel quite a bit and guests should have complete access to the pool during their visits.

Clean rooms, comfy beds and a good breakfast. Location is a bit of a pain especially with DC traffic and nothing is within walking distance. Having to pay for parking is a little absurd to me when you pay for a room but whatever. The property itself could use a little updating with broken elevators and no working ice machines I was very surprised to see that at a Hampton Inn. My experience with them in the past I’ve never run into that. Overall I would probably look for another Hampton Inn for the area next year when I come down or another hotel.

Always thought Hampton inn was suppose to be better than holiday inn, no more! Room had a dirty carpet, smelled like musty,and dusty. Sprayed air freshener for relief. It was a disappointment. Neighbor one night smoking Marijuana, complained to staff. Horrible selection and variety of breakfast offerings - barely cooked sausage and eggs were yuck.

Very dirty. Furniture old, worn and torn. Bed made horrible banging noise every time you moved. Never did get towels or housekeeping service in 4 nights. Very poor water pressure in the shower. Left message for manager, who said he tried to call us in room and on cell phone, but that is not true.

My first room had a roach in the bathroom. I did receive another room that also had bugs in it that I only realize the day I was leaving. I took a black light to the second room and was unhappy, yet it was a work trip, and I need to sleep. the beds were very clean though. The vacuum in the halls is very loud and just pushed debris in front of my door. I had the do not disturb sign on the door and still had my room entered and bed remade. even though I had the do not disturb visible. I could hear other rooms showers, conversations and toilets flushing. The blow dryer, bathroom door handle and a/c and heating unit panel were not cleaned at all. You also have to pay for parking by the day.

I really did like my stay, and the property itself was comfortable and clean. However, the sink in my room did not drain easily, the air conditioner/fan would not stay on regardless of the setting, and the shower was stained with the dirty footprints of all who came before me.

The rooms were extremely dirty and not up to par. We switched 3 rooms before taking a halfway descent room. Room 1 - the bathtub had what it looked like dried blood Room 2 - I killed a roach Room 3 -had cobwebs from the lamps to the ceiling and sheets were dirty. Room 4 - which was still not the best but we need to sleep after a very long drive. - I cleaned hair off the walls, Cobwebs from the lamps again. Spoke to the housekeeping Manager when I asked for the GM (But they were not in at the time) She apologized for the inconvenience and gave us points toward our next stay. - Not happy!

We stayed in the suite with 2 queen beds and pull out sofa bed. The room was very clean and spacious. Each day housekeeping came in and made sure it was tidy for when we returned. The beds were comfortable and clean and towels were fresh each day. The breakfast had a good variety and was delicious. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Washington.

You have to pay to park. This is standard in this area, but I raised heck because the parking lot was in bad shape. Pot holes, parking spot lines were very faded. The hotel is not easy to get to. One review said it was updated…it’s not. The water pipes are very loud. It was clean and people were nice.

We stayed in 3 different Hampton Inn's during our trip. Of the 3 this Hampton was the best. Room was nice but could use a little more lighting. We had a room on the top floor, and it was directly behind the elevator shafts. Every time the elevators moved, the noise and vibrations made for an unacceptable experience. They need to grease and oil the elevators and their motors so that they are a lot quieter. The front desk service was exceptional. The breakfast buffet was generally very good. This Hampton is close to Old Town and near the Metro train to the DC area.

The front desk attendants were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were great. However, my air conditioner was not working. The egineer was quick to try and fix it but it still didn’t work. House keeping brought a fan which made it worse. By midnight it was so hot I couldn’t breathe. The night manager was quick in changing rooms for me on the same floor and even brought the new room key to my old room.

The property smells and an attempt to cover up with poor smelling air freshener that will give you a headache. My room had pee and mold in bathroom. The shared spaces do not have air conditioner. The hallways were too warm. I filed multiple complaints and manager refused to talk to me.

Marco, Meme, Ine made us feel so welcome!!! They were professional, smiling, knowledgeable, kind!!!! The breakfast was delicious and hot. Maria kept our room clean as requested. Check in and out was easy! Whatever we requested was done efficiently, accurately handled. The was one of the best experiences staying here. Highly recommend this hotel stay!!! The staff really love their jobs. You’re never go anywhere else to stay. Exceptional Marco, Meme, Ian, Maria ( housekeeper). Thanks so much!!! Definitely, 💯 my favorite place to stay!!!😍

The front desk staff was spectacular! Super friendly and willing to answer any questions. Also, there were two big groups of teens for breakfast and even with the huge rush, there was plenty to go around and employees hustling to make sure everything stayed in stock for breakfast! I even witnessed the front desk staff being so sweet and explaining what a kinder egg was to a young boy who wanted to purchase one! Above and beyond for sure!!

When checking in late at night the staff was very rude and She cared more about the high school kids buying their snacks then me and my family getting to our rooms after a long trip. Pretty sure someone used our room as there was a wet wash rag thrown in the tub and my clothes hanging on the back of the bathroom door was wrapped in a wet towel when we returned to our room. After walking down memory lane I probably ranked too high-but there was other staff that was great!

It started off well with a warm welcome by the staff complimentary water bottles, and candy bars for our kids. I was quite impressed with the service. But that got washed away when our privacy was violated. On our first day, we left the do not disturb sign on our door. When we returned that evening, all of our towels had been replenished but the beds left undone. What's more, they did not leave enough towels and washcloths which resulted in us asking for more since they took the ones we had. Consistently in all of my hotel stays, service has respected the sign but not this time. When I brought this to the attention of the asst manager the following morning as we checked out, he confirmed that we were on the do not clean list but was confused why someone entered our room. We asked if there would be any compensation for this breach of privacy. He said he would get back to us. Later, he said that since the sign was removed at 1p (not by us since we were not there all day), service entered the room and he offered us no compensation. It still doesn't make sense because they did not clean or turn the linen. They only took our towels and washcloths. Thankfully nothing of our personal effects were stolen. Still, it makes for an uneasy feeling as we should have some right to our privacy. The fact that they didn't offer us anything as a result of this inconvenience tells me that hospitality is not at the front of their service and thus I will not be staying at this location again.

Clean hotel with spacious common areas for breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast offerings. I like a firm mattress and these were fine. Location is adjacent to Old Town Alexandria and walkable on well-lit walking/biking trails (1.3 mile to King St) but it requires crossing large highway which can be done safely ( but maybe not at midnight like we did!). The requirement to pay for parking separately was annoying. The front of the hotel faces on the large highway which is not beautiful but the back looks out over park/wetlands.

This hotel is up to the standards of this national chain. The staff was pleasant, room was clean and spacious and the breakfast buffet was nice with plenty of coffee. There is a walking path to "Old Town" right outside the hotel. While the hotel is located right along the highway, the signage for the entrance could be more visible as it was easily missed in the evening, taking one directly onto route 95. It is very convenient for visit to Mount Vernon.

Nice property! Very nice staff, comfortable room, and awesome breakfast. Got in late n was able to purchase a frozen pizza in the ‘minimart’ in the lobby. Nice options, and a microwave. Even had a beer! Perfect so I didn’t have to venture out late at night. Definitely would stay again :)
