Nice place, walking distance to SU. Clean, nice bed, good food, good shuttle service and friendly and available staff. My only issue would be the heating system was very loud. The amenities listed on this website are incorrect, they do not have a gym anymore. Other than that it's a nice little place.

Unfortunately, I do not have a good review of this hotel. Staff was pleasant but the room was dirty, loud and uncomfortable. There was a sticky white stain on the desk when we walked into the room, the HVAC unit was so loud we couldn't turn it on at night because it kept us up, it also never got to temperature in the room. In addition we were in room 248 and within the walls was a loud vibrating and screeching noise that could not be controlled. We did not sleep for the two night stay at all. The toilet seat is so low that you felt like you were falling when trying to use it. The rug is rippling and dirty.

There was some construction. Front desk was so nice!! They gave us a food voucher! My only complaint is the floor in the room was sticky. I walk barefoot. And i would wash my feet in the tub constantly because the soles of my feet would get black with dirt.

The room had hairs in the tub that weren’t ours . It was under construction. The bed was falling apart. The room smelled of old cigarettes. The best part was how pleasant the person was that checked us in . Besides that wouldn’t go back .

The customer service was excellent! Front desk and the restaurant staff were amazing! The overall hotel is very clean, the only issue was in the room. My mirror was severely broken, there were gnats in the bathroom and bedroom. The shower drain and walls had large amounts of hair that had not been cleaned for quite some time. The staff would bring me back. I now Know to keep a look out for cleanliness.

I found SEVERAL long dark hairs in my bed. It gave me the absolute sense that the cleaning service DID NOT change the bed sheets after the previous guest. That was really unnerving, and it felt unsanitary. In addition, the hotel had prison-style shampoo/conditioner/body wash on the wall, and there was no shampoo. I always prefer individual bottles, and thankfully I keep a johnson's baby shampoo travel bottle for situations like this. I spent $200 for one night, but would compare the cleanliness to a Motel 6. On the other hand, the receptionist in the lobby was very nice.

room wasn't very clean. some surfaces were sticky. TV wasn't plugged in. A/C didn't work. room was hot, but bearable. Shower curtain looked like it was about to fall down. Shower faucet was loose. Bed covering had stains on it. overall, room didn't feel clean.

Upon arrival to our room there were dirty used towels in the bathroom, the blankets on the bed had hair and a major disgusting stain on it, the bathroom had only one roll of toilet paper which was half used when I down to the lobby to ask for more I was given one roll that was UNWRAPPED and ripped and dusty Very unsanitary and not worth $500/night

It is a decent enough place to shower and sleep. Although the reviews for the restaurant were poor enough that we didn't dare try it. My only complaint is the quality of the mattresses. Far too firm, without any ability to comfortably cradle pressure points as a side sleeper. Woke up both mornings with some sore spots.

The bed was listed as a queen but was only a full. The AC didn't lower the temperature despite being on full-time overnight. The floor was moist. And the room had weird smell to it with some type of air freshener trying to cover it up.

Room and property were clean and neat.room was big. Lots of light and plugs. Window was broken in my room (resting against the frame). Door-shaped cut out in bathroom wall (sheetrock was screwed back in place). Floor near bathroom door was soft. Ceiling near shower head was peeling. Hard to find thermostat (that was on me though). No extra blankets. Parking lot very poorly lit. Doors to go into building where my room was did not open properly (it was hard to get my luggage in/out). Desk staff were polite, efficient, and well informed. Lots of street noise, hallway noise. Very thin walls. Hot water was good and hot af. Could not get wifi to connect properly. Tv worked though and had cable. Bed was comfortable. Pre-checkin made things go very smooth. Easy to add parking. (Stay was booked for a conference after my first hotel reservation was cancelled when the hotel closed permanently unexpectedly. Little options to go elsewhere.)

Front desk attendant was beyond rude. I have never been spoken to the way this woman spoke to me. I would never recommend this facility just based on first impression of the building then the horrible customer service if you even want to call it that. Just horrible.

If you have options, use them. We arrived at about 5:30. Rooms weren’t ready. We were told we would receive a call. At 8:15 we called back and the front desk readily admitted they forgot about us. When I said that was unacceptable I was yelled at about how their big group the night before couldn’t be helped and I shouldn’t expect more than comped parking. Bathroom fixtures were falling off the wall. And service was incredibly slow. Find somewhere else to stay.

Booked the room 6 months in advance for a show we planned to see. Came in from out of town to check in around 6. The propety is nice but our room a/c was not working. We spoke to the manager before we left for the show. Returning 4.5 hours later we discovered she did nothing and forgot about it. They had put us in a room they knew was a problem we found out . No fans,no portable ac and windows that don't open=a 78 degree room. She claims there were not any rooms to switch,even though she continued to check in people at midnight.things happen ,but lying to customers and doing nothing to fix the situation is unacceptale. Come to find out there were numerous rooms with no a/c and broken. Too late at midnight to look for another place to stay..a long miserable nite of no sleep. Never again ..beware of this place

The hotel is fine. Rooms were clean but lacked hand soap to wash your hands in the bathroom and not enough towels in the room. Service was terrible. I waited 10 minutes at the front desk to check in. No one was there. Or anywhere for that matter. Same at the bar later in the day - no bartender. You must hire more people or find out where your employees are hiding. The breakfast was really good. Beds were comfy.

Check in is fast at the Collegian. David was hospitable, kind and attentive to our needs. He made sure we have the room of our choice and floor. The hotel is in the heart of Syracuse University and reasonably priced. We will definitely stay there again.

The staff were amazing. They did everything possible to make my stay the best it could be. For example, I told them my room was hot and that I enjoyed a cold room while I slept, so they gave me a fan to use for the week. Little things like that were great. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the food at the restaurant was great. Highly recommend staying here.

Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Hotel was clean and close enough to Syracuse University that you could walk there in around 10 minutes. We had dinner at Taichi Bubble Tea, the ramen was delicious. The hotel was perfect in its decor to embrace the collegiate atmosphere and get excited about the school year and our return.

Check in was over 1 hour late. When we asked about a room we were told 10 minutes. 30 minutes later still no room. We had dinner reservations but still no room to get ready in. Manager finally got us an upgraded room. Thanks. They offered to buy us a drink while we waited, we asked for a rain check and got a $20’voucher for food and beverage. Unfortunately for us when we got back after dinner and w went for the drink we were told no alcohol drink for the voucher. Workers were nice but the whole situation was kind of lame.

Great inexpensive option close to the university and hospitals. I was forced to come up here because my daughter who is a student at the university had to go to the hospital for an appendectomy in a pinch. This place was very affordable clean. The restaurant had great food and was also affordable. Very friendly staff.

First I will say that the restaurant was delicious and the staff excellent. The room was small the toilet slow and we had to find a plunger and do it ourselves. The fan in the bathroom sounded like a helicopter was overhead. My card was as entered three times and we had to pay for parking on top of the room rate. Will not stay again but would eat there.

Enjoyed the stay. Price was reasonable. Staff was delightful. The meal in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was very good. Would like to see a refrig and microwave in the room especially for one who is a diabetic and needs insulin refrigerated.

The parking lot at night was not well lit. The room was very dirty. The shower leaked. There was no room service as advertised. The restaurant was not open early as advertised. The walls were paper thin and you could see out into the hallway under my door so you could hear and see shadows of everyone walking by. Also i was supposed to be in a smoke free area and you could smell cigarette fumes from another room. They also charge 10 dollars a day for parking and that is not advertised in the price when you book.

We booked the large suite since we had Exp Cash. It's an OK hotel, but I still prefer the Parkview. Our Server for breakfast was wonderful, the Avocado toast, not as much - a piece of toasted bread with a half avocado simply sliced on one half, a slice egg on the other half, topped by frisee and far too much creamy balsamic. This needs to be rethought and simplified - better artisan bread, masshed avocado, sliced egg on top, sea salt. Ditch the frisee and balsamic

The hotel staff was extremely friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. We did eat at the hotel restaurant and while the food was good, the service was awful. We waited forever to be seated while there were several open tables. Upon talking to the hostess she said she forgot all about us. Once seated, the waitress seemed confused.
