The hotel is clean, the staff were polite, and the facilities are basic but adequate. Getting there is an undertaking. The Orbitz listing does not mention a shuttle. However, the main hotel website says there is a shuttle. The shuttle stop at Newark airport says there is a shuttle. When I called from the shuttle stop the gentleman at the desk told me they do not have a shuttle. The location is in an isolated industrial area with no public transport access (do not believe Google Maps - it's wrong). If you don't have a car, budget extra for Uber or Lyft.

Amenities not as described. No airport shuttle despite the Google listing. Had to take Ubers for $15-$20 each way. Employee stated clearly "we don't have shuttles". No free parking despite the statement on the website. Employee told me I couldn't park my rental overnight. Parking lot wasn't even full but it did have a few wrecked/crashed cars in it that were probably immobile. Can not walk anywhere since it's surrounded by highways and fenced stockyards. Poor maintenance: shower drain clogged/backs up fast, some stains on counter tops, smelled of strong cigarette smoke, TV remote had no batteries, room safe stuck open with error msg, severely ripped screens in windows. View was a little parking lot with dozens of littered bottles and other trash.

There is no shuttle from the airport to the hotel. I was forced to take an unexpected taxi and was charged $50 one way thus turning this inexpensive room into a much more expensive one. And I still need to make arrangements to get to the airport in the morning. The carpet in the hallway is filthy although the room is better. I could have spent this amount of money at a nicer hotel with a convenient ride to the airport. Significantly, there was no warning on the website that I would encounter this expensive challenge.

I called ahead to ensure that the hotel had an airport shuttle and was told it did. I asked for the shuttle schedule upon arrival and was told they had dropped the shuttle about 2 years ago. The travelocity listing said it had an adjoining restaurant. I asked about it while checking in and was told that it was closed today (a Tuesday). I asked if they had breakfast and they said it would be at the restaurant. The restaurant opened at 8:30 AM but we had to depart before 8 AM (with an Uber for $33 plus tip as there was no shuttle). The staff was responsive & friendly. The facility was clean but very worn.

Pretty gross place, but about what you'd expect for a low-budget hotel at Newark Airport. (Low budget meaning below $150/night, definitely not worth it, but there are few other options). I would only stay here one night in order to be near the airport for an early flight. Be aware that despite what it says on line, they do NOT have an airport shuttle. It's a $30 cab ride to the airport.

Okay for a single night — room was outdated, a minimum of 8 stains on the desk chair, a hair tie on the floor but the beds seemed clean and were comfortable enough. The TV was OLD as well, no channels in HD. Right next to the airport and about 15 minutes to MetLife Stadium.

The room was not especially clean. The bed was, which was nice except for the cigarette burn on the sheet. The bathroom was acceptable. The rest of the room needed a thorough cleaning and maintenance. The hotel is what you would expect. It was a cheap room for the night. It was fine for just me, and adult male, but I wouldn't bring my family by. Honestly, I'd stay again if I had a similar need.

Stayed there with 3 teenagers, and the place was ok for us to rest our heads. The rooms appeared to look clean, but the ac unit had buildup dirt, and a caprisun packet at the back of the bed. There was a strong stench of marijuana despite the sign depicted that no smoking was allowed. To top if off, the showers wasn’t cleaned properly. All in all, if you just need a cheap space to close your eyes, it’s ok, but if you are a someone who is bothered easily, don’t book.

The room was filthy. Towels had lipstick stains. Mold in the shower. Room smelled like smoke. There was a spider on the bed. When I walked outside to get my food delivery, there was a man sitting on his truck cat calling me. Then a different man went over to the cigarette disposal, opened it and took one out to smoke. When I went back up to my room there was 4 men and a woman just sitting in the hallway 2 doors down. I heard them out there past midnight. And the worst part was that I was charged $170 for this crap.

This is an old, filthy, and smelly property. When I arrived at around 11 p.m., the three employees at the front desk were not at all cordial. The room appeared tidy at first, but there were stains, hair and indiscernible items on the bed sheets. The room smelled odd overall, the bathroom fittings were rusty, and the chairs had heavy stains on them. I noticed that the carpet in the room hadn't been cleaned when I discovered a hair band on the ground. When I checked out, I saw that the carpet in the hallway was filthy and that there was a lot of trash near the door. I spent $150 to be in what felt like a shelter for unhoused persons.

We drove to NJ from Iowa and not gonna lie original thought about a hotel next to the airport was gonna be bad. Fortunately I was wrong. It's still surprisingly quiet. You get an absolute amazing view of the skyline. The staff are amazing as well. We stayed multiple nights and they were very helpful. Everything was clean. Mini fridge has plenty of room. Extra couch with pull out bed too. Still very roomy as well. Loved my stay. Hope you do as well. 10/10 would recommend. Iykyk wheelchair guy was my absolute favorite 💯🚬

The hotel is a convenient distance from the airport. But it’s old and hasn’t her. Updated. There’s also something loud next to it. Beds are full of springs. But there is noon check-out.

Booked for 1 night after a show so we didn’t have to drive home so late. The planes flying over rattled the hotel and made it sound like they were landing on the roof. Our bath towel had a wad of someone’s hair still attached. The AC worked well enough, but the bed was springy and uncomfortable. Would not stay here again. Cheap is not better in Newark.

The rate was cheap, the bedding was comfortable and the room was quiet enough for a sound sleep. I only crashed here for 7 hours and wanted a place close to the Airport. The owners could do better if they merely picked up trash surrounding the exterior. The place will do for an overnight crash pad.

This place is horrible!!! We checked out after the first night. We were supposed to stay three nights. It is dirty. The carpet is dirty. Exposed wires in our room where the smoke detector used to be. Smoke detector was in a broken drawer. The seat cushions on the sofa were all cut up and insides sticking out. Can't believe Wyndham has their name attached to this awful place. Never will we go there again. Also no security chain, it was broken off. Lamps that did not work.

Not a bad hotel considering the price and how close it is to the Statue of Liberty and 911 Memorial. If you are a light sleeper it may be a problem as there are airplanes taking off all night. Staff were very friendly. Parking lot is a bit sketchy. Nice shower and decent bed.

When we drove up there were drug users outside the property and upstairs next to our room one was nodding in thr corridor. At 1:40 in the morning an employee attempted to enter our room saying that they were informed that we were checking out, but we were sleeping. I informed them that our checkout was at 11 am and no one from my group informed them of such a thing. I was told by the morning clerk that he only knew one of the names of the people that was working but not the name of the one that actually attempted to enter the room we literally had to jump up and stop him from coming in the room.

The price was right for the location. Easy to Uber to and from the hotel. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food at the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Room was clean, but dated facilities made things look dirtier than they were. I would stay there again.

The smell of weed almost knocked me over when I walked in the door. The check in was very unfriendly. The room was ok, the bed was thankfully clean. I couldn't find anyone that worked there when I was trying to check out so I slide my key under the plexiglass. I understand I booked last minute and had limited options but I did not feel very safe at all and was glad it was only one night. Not worth the money though.

Beds felt like sleeping on springs. There were people who appeared to be living at the hotel full time running “business” in and out. It says a 12 min walk to the Metro, but I definitely wouldn’t want to walk it in this area especially at night. Only upside is the staff understood us wanting to checkout early and worked with us to get a refund.

Not a great location if you are looking to use public transit - closest bus station is across the highway and you need to take a $10 ride to get there - ideal if you are waiting for a flight from Newark. The entire hotel smelled like cannabis at various times of the day and the room was definitely outdated and in need of some attention.

Nice place, clean rooms. The area around the hotel does not feel safe, however, all the area looks like industrial, so not fancy at all. We did not have any issue at all. Staff is friendly. Would stay again.

Should have researched better but for 160 a night i guess i expected alittle more. And the restaurant in hotel was horrible. Really nice people but slowwwwwww. We waited ann hour for our food. Only one other table in restaurant ao not aure why and my daughters food was cold and offered no discount or anything. Definitely wil not be staying again. This a 50 dollar a night hotel charging trille.

I did not like the fact that there is no breakfast I would think that there would be a breakfast at the Howard Johnson I'm pretty sure every Howard Johnson I've been to has complimentary breakfast but this one The vending machines could have more of a selection being that it's by the airport I would have thought there would have been a little store with some toiletries and snacks and drinks maybe even a little liquor. Other than that all in all it is a nice hotel and is inexpensive close to the airport so it is convenient for travelers. I feel as though it should be pet friendly since it is by the airport and people travel with their pets. And if it isn't pet friendly I think this is the only thing that they should change is having pets there.
