Hampton Inn & Suites Newport/Middletown

Comfortable beds, and a friendly staff. Enjoyed always having coffee available and occasionally on our return delicious cookies. We liked having Applebees next door. One day the maids failed to make up our room which was disappointing. Also would like a make-up mirror in the bathroom.

The swimming pool was closed the entire time we were there which was a bummer for the kids.

The property was clean staff was polite and helpful. We asked for extra pillows and no problem. Pool was well maintained and clean. Def would recommend

The hotel was family and pet friendly. Being a single mom traveling with my son, I felt safe. Easy to park and enter hotel, proper lighting in parking lot. Loved the bedding and the complimentary toiletries. Great complimentary breakfast!

We really liked the experience of staying at this hotel. They were pet friendly and we were able to bring our little black cat with us. There is extra charge of about 25$ a day for pets. The rooms are decent size and clean and tidy. The hallways and common areas are also clean. The breakfast is simple but they have hot foods like eggs sausages and bread available. As well as some fruits like bananas and apples which is great. The juices could be fresh one but understand that is not the policy perhaps. There is also always coffee and tea available all day in lobby for guests which is nice as well as water fountain which is super great. Parking on facility was perfect. Location is perfect only few minutes to Newport mansions and shopping centers. The hotel staff is very friendly and they help with any requests for room service or items request very fast. Overall we really liked the stay for the two night and would stay again. What they can improve: 1. The shuttle service they offer to the city center is way too high price in my opinion - I think it was $25 a trip- almost price of just taking uber if you are two and worse if you are family. We would have loved to take that but didnt due to price- something for them to consider. 2. Also, the checkout was kind of odd we requested late checkout- got only 1 hour extra- and then someone gave us wrong information that we could pay 75$ for 3-4 extra hours while another manager later told us its $135 for half day.

Safe, quiet and clean property with ample parking and a short drive to Newport

Very close to activites and over all nice hotel but disappointed in cleanness found hair in sink and bed sheets were stained.

The hotel was very, very clean! We had a great three night stay visiting Newport. Beds were very comfortable and breakfast was great. Would definitely recommend!

Everything was good except room cleaning is now every other day

Nice size room and bathroom (didn’t realize it was handicap accessible when I booked it so that may have been why it was very roomy), comfortable bed, loved the electric shade and curtain. Decorated very well, clean lines, no cluttered feeling. The room was very clean except under the beds. While doing floor exercises, I could see various items…small pieces of paper, the cut off top of a balloon, a cotton or ping pong ball. You could tell no one had vacuumed under either of the beds. It didn’t bother me but you asked for feedback. The breakfast was great! I’d definitely stay again and would highly recommend.

We really enjoyed this hotel, rooms are very clean and it’s a very nice environment. However, when housekeeping didn’t arrive, I approached one of the housekeepers and asked her if she was going to get to our room that day. She responded sharply telling me, that housekeeping is only available on request, and I was not on the list. She also told me that they would have told me that at check-in. Which, of course they did not tell me that at check-in. I didn’t feel that her bad attitude was necessary. And I just want to forewarn everyone to request housekeeping. Apparently they do not touch your room unless you ask them to when you check in. Otherwise, this day was very nice.

Very clean, updated and comfy beds

The hotel was clean and well maintained. Great location, easy drive to points of interest. Nancy texted me several times during my stay to see how things were. I mentioned the air conditioner was making a weird sound and she sent maintenance up immediately and they fixed it. Staff was very good. I would stay here again in a minute.

Staff was excellent. Room was very nice. Swimming pool was delicious.Full on breakfast with awesome choices. The window situation was horrific (for me). Windows do not open AT ALL. Not even one little pane. No fresh air, only filtered, recycled air from a noisy unit. NO open air in the entire building! Senior friend had difficulty with NO chairs and table in the room. Otherwise, it was great. SADLY I WILL NOT BE RETURNING due to no open windows or fresh air anywhere.

WiFi was EXCELLENT, and I had to work, so that was important. Staff were friendly and competent, and there were ENOUGH staff so people didn't have stand in line for long to check in or out... also important!!! Bed and linens clean and comfy.

Toilet was broken. Plumbing needs to be better maintained. Mattresses need to be replaced, very uncomfortable.

The rooms were very clean and everything was new and updated. We traveled with children and been able to have one of them on a separate room was very convenient. The breakfast was a nice surprise as well.

None of outlets near beds worked to change phones and hair in shower

This property was perfect for our first time stay in Rhode Island. It was conveniently located in a area where we were able to see alot is different areas. It had a great varieties of shopping and dinning options. The suites room were very spacious and very clean for a family of 5 with teen kids.

Shower barely worked. Little to no pressure at all

the front desk lady was very rude when i checked in. I booked through expedia and there was an issue w/ the room booking. she said to me, "this is why you shouldn't book through a third party"

This hotel was CLEAN and well taken care of. That is my most important needs. Bonus was a super helpful and nice staff. We had an issue (not hotel related) and they really came through for me. I don't usually get excited about giving a review, but before I even left, I was like "I can't wait to review this hotel"

The staff was backed up and had to delay our check-in. They were very nice about it and even compensated us for our trouble. I plan to return and stay again.

Arrived 2:30. Unable to check in due to hotel computers down. Had wedding at 4pm we missed because they finally did a manual paper checkin at almost 4pm. Others in same d as situation Terrible check in experience! The could have done manual paper check in operation schedule but refused. Never again in this chain!

Location is not far to downtown and safe. Staffs are friendly and courteous. Facilities is clean and breakfast has good selection.

Rooms are clean and updated, breakfast is good, but if you want to be in the touristic Newport area, this might not be the hotel for you.

First time staying at a Hampton Inn. Very impressed. Room was nice. Staff was great. Called down for pillows and towels and someone was there in a couple if minutes. Great location near Newport with llots to do nearby. Will definitely ne going to Hampton Inns in the future.

Excellent facilities, friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms. We enjoyed our stay. Minor comment is the watered down coffee and orange juice at breakfast. Both mornings of our stay these drinks tasted more like water than coffee or orange juice.

Clean and quiet but the worst hotel breakfast we’ve ever seen; every other hotel in this price range does a decent breakfast but this was terrible; next time we’ll stay with Holiday Inn

My rate was increased without my knowledge. This was unprofessional and extremely disappointing as I did not find out until I saw the receipt emailed to me after my stay!!! The breakfast was disappointing, had to go out for breakfast both mornings as my teenage sons wouldn’t eat anything there.
