Days Inn by Wyndham Georgetown

For a hotel it was a disaster I got stuck in the elevator doors would not open, graffiti on the walls in the room, tv was going out colors going in and out, staff didn’t care that the elevator door would get stuck, buttons missing on the control panel inside the elevator, the walls looked like a 5 yr old tried to patch big holes the list goes on. If the city was to to go in and inspect the property they would shut it down.

The bathroom door did not have a handle.They used a wash cloth tied in or not so you could hold the door closed, The water never got above warm , didn't matter Is what time of the day it was. I got stuck in the elevator between floors two and three I had to crawl out of it and luckily I did not die

Total transparency… the motel seems to be under renovation, so it’s already not super attractive. The front desk was unattended both times I visited (check in and check out) but there was a sign posted saying “back in 10 min”.. I think there must only be 1 or 2 employees. My room needed A LOT of improvement.. kind of gross (stuff on walls, tub cracked, just an air of “needs attention”, but the towels and sheets were clean and the AC was cold!! I slept great! Not sure I would go back, but it was cheap and did the job.

We ended up on the third floor. Being as we are in our 70's. We should have asked for a different room down on the first. We will, if we are in the same area again in the future. The price was reasonable and fairly close to restaurants and where we needed to be. The ice machines didn't seem to be working very well.

This property DOES NOT belong being advertised as a lodging option on Hotels.com This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. This property needs to be CONDEMNED. DO NOT book a stay at this property. Photos do not do this property justice. In my room alone (325) upon entering there were holes and stains on every wall. ROACHES scattering for the electrical outlets. A/C not acceptable. Broken and falling apart building exterior across the entire property. Elevator out of order. Endless appalling issues. I took one look and knew I was lied to about the accommodations and decided I had better luck going back to my house that had recently been through a tornado. I was only looking for a place with electricity and internet while our services at home were back online, post-storm. DO NOT allow this hotel to take your hard-earned money. Hotels.com needs to try harder getting my full refund back. So far, their attempt has not been sufficient. Even after requesting a call-back. I wanted to express this verbally before posting to give Hotels.com a chance at a full refund but have not received my requested call, so I am leaving this review. CONSUMERS, TAKE THIS REVIEW SERIOSLY. Hotels.com , a full refund is in order. As well as removal of this property from your site before any one of your customers who happens to fall into this trap like I did takes legal action against you. NOT A SAFE PROPERTY FOR ANYONE WHO CARES ABOUT THEIR FAMILY'S WELL-BEING.

Facility needs a lot of updates; water in the bathroom took almost 30 minutes to get warm enough for a shower. Door to the hotel didn’t shut all the way. Building is overall rundown and requiring many updates to keep up with other properties.

Overnight for early meeting next day. Wanted a hotel for $100 per night so chose this I don’t normally post bad reviews, but I can’t find a whole lot of good things to say. Convenient and free parking. Otherwise, locks missing on outside door and it did not seal properly so didn’t feel very safe. Every door was not functional, lots of dead bugs in light fixture above bathroom mirror, poor painting and drywall patching. Was not a place I would want to stay again

The pool was amazing and the beds omg so comfy

This property is under renovation, so I'm sure after they have completed it, it will look nice. They are tearing out sinks, countertops, showers & toilets. Hopefully they will work on front entrance doors. Huge gap where someone can use a plastic card (hotel key card) to slide between the door jam and the door latch plate to slide the latch in to unlock it.

Said you have a pool the pool was dirty, the lobby table had cereal on table at 6pm clerk made no attempt to clean or wipe tables off clerk told me that the pool was seasonal it do not say that on line put me on 3rd floor i asked for lower level room he told me take elevator to my room it did not work

The room was terribly dirty. The bed was clean and comfortable but the bathroom was not functionally clean

The condition of the room and buil was so poor it should be condemned The sraff were rude and didn't even bother to replenish breakfast items like milke etc. The door of our room was in such poor condition you could see out the seal and other guest could see in. Through out the room the paint and plaster was peeling off the ceiling and walls. Mold in the bathroom With all the money you make off customers you would think you could at least maintain the condition and fix some problems. Worst Hotel I ever stayed in. This place sucks

The room was filthy. There was no smoke alarm, it had been disabled. The sheet was stained. The towels had hair and something else stuck to them. The floors were terrifyingly horrific. There was urine on the wall behind the door in the bathroom. The bathtub that had been resurfaced was peeling and clogging the drain. The water wouldn't shut off in the shower. The faucets looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months. We asked for a room change and got it but the new room was not much better. It had no security lock on the door. The hairdryer had some sort of brown substance on it so I was afraid to touch it. If I were Wyndham, I would take my name off of that location. It should be demolished. Oh, every wall in both rooms had been patched but not painted. They looked like they were under construction but they rented them anyway. The ceilings were stained from leaks up above.

The light in the bathroom wouldn't stay on. There was dog hair on the bed skirting. My sheets had stains on them. The bath tub leaked. Mold in the shower. There was dust everywhere. Had I not been so tired i would had asked for my money back.

Room was dirty, especially bathroom, hair in tub. Sheets, comforter, towels seemed clean and relatively new; all white so presumably bleached. Bed mattress comfortable, pillows typical sucky, flat hotel pillows. Bathroom and room seemed to be under construction. Walls patched and unpainted in MANY areas, AC wall vent rusted or moldy (there was dark red or black “stuff” all over vent) and vent was hanging askew, half off the wall. Chair rail, ice bucket, sink, hairdryer, walls, doors filthy. Bath tub has several black hairs (I’m blonde), shelf behind tub broken and hanging off of wall, plaster peeling from ceiling, section of wall missing behind bathroom door and covered with clear packing tape, no plug for tub or sink, sink had thick layers of mildew. I don’t think anyone actually cleans the rooms, just changes sheets and towels

black mold, dirty vents, bathroom light was out, stains everywhere. complete waste of money… wish i could get it all back.

The room had mold on the walls. Paint falling off. The bath tub was disgusting. Mold and the caulking was comin off

The property itself on the outside looks pretty worn and the lobby was hard to find since it all looked closed with no signage. Weathered exterior with debris all around. Badly taken care of with non professional paint work done inside. Tub and toilet did give the most confident feeling that they were cleaned thoroughly and bedding was not the cleanest and had some stains on it. If it weren’t for the fact I was not spending much time in the room I would’ve not stayed here as it gave me the ick! First time I have felt that way about a place. So much so that I wore my sandals inside at all times to not walk barefoot. Holes in the bathroom wall near the baseboard and just on and on. I do not recommend this property at all.

Room was dirty no hair dryer in the room the room was just terrible

The room looked like it was in the middle of being remodeled,shouldn't have been rented, there was water under floor boards in toliet area, front door wasnt all around insulated, air conditioner didn't have temperature on it, tv channels were few a far between.

I had a downstairs room and I liked being able to park right by my door. The shower only had very hot water, and it was so very hot that I was not able to take a shower. It started out cold, but got hotter and hotter. I tried turning the handle in each direction and could not get anything but hot, hot water. There was a big, ugly stain on the shower curtain. The big chair and ottoman were comfortable, but there were stains on those as well. In the bathroom, paint was peeling along the bottoms of the walls. The peeling paint was not a sanitation issue for me, but it made the room look run-down. Paint was also peeling on the front door. This was Room 104.

There was leaking water underneath the flooring...when you walked on a dry floor, water oozed up and got your feet/socks wet. Bathroom was dirty and awful. Television turned on, but had no active channels. No hot water from the sink basin. Was afraid to step into the shower so I don't know if the hot water worked there.

I booked this hotel for my husband as he was working there for a few days. When he went to check in the guy check in told him they did not have a reservation for him. My husband told him that i made it earlier and the room was already paid for to check again and gave him his name and the guy again told him he dis not have a reservation to contact Expedia because there was nothing he could do. Husband called me and told me what was going on and i sent him the email with confirmation number and hotel details and after my husband showed him this he still said he did not have a reservation for him to contact Expedia. After i got in contact with Expedia and told them what the situation Expedia representative called the hotel to see what was going on with my husband’s reservation. While on hold with Expedia i received a call from my husband stating that the guy had “overlooked” his name in the system and had given him a key to a room… he went to the room and opened the door and as he opens the door he finds 2 people in the room asking him why does he have a key to an occupied room. My husband apologized and explained the situation and the people states they were going to call and also complain on the matter. Expedia gets back on the phone and tells me that the hotel had an issue with their system and that my husband should be able to check in with now problem now. I get off the phone with Expedia and call my husband and he was waiting for another room. Not a pleasant experience.

We arrived early before check in and asked if we could check in early, We were given a hostile "No" despite the hotel being empty. I asked to use the restroom in the lobby - it was filthy. When we did get to our room at check in time the room was dirty. The floors were so dirty we had to wash our feet before we put our shoes on. The shower had no doors or curtains so that the water rain out of the shower area onto the floor into a drain. Not a safe situation for my 75 year old husband who is a disabled vet. Such a disapointment - we expected more from a Wyndham hotel. I guess the name Wyndham no longer means quality.

There was a water leak upstairs and management took their time moving my family to another room. I expressed my medical conditions and they seemed to not take the matter seriously. Staff kept saying no rooms are available but there were a few rooms available.

Terrible, staff was rude and unaccommodating. I opted to stay another night, booked on site and agreed to pay at location as I did the previous day. At 2 PM Male staff literally burst into the room as I was changing clothing. They waited until it was pouring down rain; two male staff members burst into the room - without permission. They threatened to call the police and refused to get out until I left. They were saying disrespectful things, threatened to “throw my belongings over the balcony” and were taking pictures of me as I nervously gathered my items. I felt very endangered and helpless. I suffer from PTSD, this experience was very traumatic for me. Avoid this place at all costs if you can afford it. Everything about this “establishment” is SKETCHY at very best.

It was convenient and good for the money. The room has minor cosmetic things that could of been better.

Hard to access from interstate Somewhat noisy people all about

This is my fourth time staying here. The staff, from reception to cleaning ladies, have been kind and wonderful to me and my dog Summer. They went out of their way to put me on the bottom floor because my dog has arthritis in her back hips. They've been very generous. It's quiet outside. You can barely hear the hum of the highway and the room is clean. Breakfast is always fresh! I see the other reviews and after staying here so much it's hard to understand why they're bad. I believe it's because people who are generally unhappy in life are the ones who leave reviews... People who have no problem being cruel and unjust... People who have no problem destroying someone else's business. This place is wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone! Great job Days Inn Georgetown!

Very quiet area

Roon and people at theHoInn were fine. The direction to the Hotel on your weh and in the room were the woest I have ever seen in my 78 years. There is a 8 lane freeway in fron with multiple decisiions thaa must be made quitely. My returne at nigh from Soutwestern University average about 1.5 hours a night because there were ssome mqmany chace to make a mistake, also the hihway has no signs to direct an person without a smartphone and if you could see the phone and drive at the same time then you would get hit. YOu need a sigh tall enough to be seen fron the servise roads on the otheer soiod because of the slight roll of hills. F-

We checked in and wet to the room. It looked like someone threw up on the walls. The entry door was not secure and the door looked like it had not been cleaned in years. There was a quarter inch gap between the door and the door jam. We immediately checked out and asked to be refunded our money which they did. Did not feel safe there at all.

Mold on bathroom ceiling and water stains on room ceiling. Breakfast was limited juice/ coffee / coffee and toast.

The place over all needed work. Mold in the ceilings, noisy AC unit, terrible bed and breakfast was cereal, toast, mini bagels. The staff was nice and helpful, but the building needs a refurbishment

Get what you pay for but No bugs. Water was cold. Was an old dirty hotel which could use a good cleaning.But NO BUGS!!! Coffee eas in the lobby. Room had no safety lock. Close to Event. I would stay there again
