This didn't feel like a Marriott property to me. If you're planning on staying here and conducting any business online, plan on connecting to the hotspot on your phone. The property's wifi is HORRIBLE. For those of you who remember dial-up in the 90s, plan on that type of speed and reliability. Needless to say, working on my laptop in the room was extremely frustrating. Sometimes web pages would take five minutes to load...that's not an exaggeration. And this wasn't just a hiccup in service - I was here for three days and all three days were the same. The other thing I didn't love is that the property feels old, the carpets are dingy, etc. When I arrived, it looked much different than what I imagined based on the pictures online. The pictures online were much more flattering than the reality. On a positive note, the property is a ten second walk from the Riverwalk. The staff were also very friendly. Overall, it wasn't terrible. But it definitely didn't feel like a Marriott to me.

Room had a consistent stale & musty odor. Carpeting in the room & throughout the halls heavily stained, dirty & worn, even frayed at doorways. Swimming pool rust on liner (floor of pool) dog feces and debris around pool edges. Parking is odd, dark and leaves you feeling unsafe and its $16 a day or $22 a day for valet in that same odd and dark place. Area also feels deserted. Staff were mostly very pleasant

Food was bad, my toilet had unflushed toilet paper in it and the parking was $16 for a sketchy parking lot with homeless people cutting through it every time I was out there. Expensive bar with terrible service. Last time I stay there. Sorry.

Room was very nice - updated with a nice bathroom and step in, large shower. Maid service was slow - very late in the p.m. before they ever got to our room. We just went to them for fresh towels. Riverwalk is nice but it needs some retail and more restaurants. Water taxi is great. Bartenders were very personable and efficient. Pool area could use some updating.

Sidewalks and parking need updating far from front door sidewalks unsteady cracks in concrete and at night no lights no security no golf cars to take guests to front of hotel no doors to get in from parking lot hotel parking . When we arrived at the hotel there was more than 50 people waiting in the lobby to check in. The staff at the front desk refused to check anyone in a minute before 4pm and they said they were booked at 102% capacity. At 4pm the line was every bit of an hour and a half long. Once we got into our room it was dirty (see photos attached). I attempted to call the front desk but did not receive an answer. I received a text message at 10:51 pm that my room was now ready. The noise from the lobby was so loud that I had trouble sleeping. The overall experience/stay was awful.

I paid for a single queen room with a river view and was given 2 queen beds with a view of the parking lot. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned and they were stingy with the towels. The linens on the bed were stained, like come on.

The carpet was disgusting and filthy. The mattress on the fold out sofa was so stained with old bodily excrement that it made me physically ill. This was the worst Mariott that I've ever stayed in.

The hotel theme was cool. The Christmas decor was pretty. The vending machines in the lobby were convenient. Staff was friendly. The building is clearly old. It could use more thorough cleaning. Our trash cans had no bags, and our toilet paper rolls were half used so hadnt been changed before our stay. I didn't see a single housekeeper.

The check in was horrible. Apparently they weren’t ready for the big crowd coming in for the football game. Then when we got in the room. Bathroom had leftover trash from the people before. There was a water that was opened and left on the desk. Stuff on the floor, was not vacuumed.

Room was beautiful, clean and had all the extras, however, the walls are paper thin and we could hear everything coming from our neighbor! His alarm began at 5am and he kept snoozing it. Then once he was awake he began to vomit loudly repeatedly for about 45 minutes .. This did not make for a good night's sleep. I reported to front desk.. He said ok he would just someone know😟

I love the fact it had the river view but hated the fact that my bed was very old and uncomfortable the room never got cold. I had to keep the a/c on 61 degrees and it still was cold. The ice machine was broke on every floor except 4.

It was a decent distance to the stadium. The hotel felt dated and the renovations being done are much needed. The shower felt like floor was going to give out. The outlets were loose. The entire curtain assembly fell to the floor when we tried to close them for the night.

The property is in a safe downtown location close to several other similar properties. Easy access to the interstate. The building and rooms are well maintained and comfortable. I was especially impressed with the size of the bathroom and size of the shower. More than spacious. Very pleased with the size of the room. On the downside, the daily parking was pricey-$16/day to self park. The maid service was spotty. Excellent one day, the next, not so much. Guess it was luck of the draw! Overall, we had a lovely stay and I would definitely recommend.

We drove in from Virginia which was a 9 and 1/2 hour drive and we were exhausted and we were woken up in the middle of the night to a bunch of rowdy teenagers running up and down our hallway and five different attempts of somebody trying to get into our room scaring my family the police were called to calm everything down, took us till about 2:00 in the morning to go back to sleep. I went down in the morning to talk to the manager only to get the manager acting like she couldn't do anything for us and that it's not our problem attitude. I ended up asking for our $50 parking fees to be credited to us and that was even a stretch for her. I don't think this particular property should be in the Marriott family. The outside of the property looks like it should be a hospital it is by far the worst Marriott property we have stayed in as being a Marriott rewards member. My husband uses Marriott every time he travels for business and he would have never expected this type of service.

Chris at the check-in desk was amazing! He was very well mannered, respectful, and courteous. When there was a problem on the type room I was given, he quickly corrected and reassigned the pre-paid room requested. A keeper for the hotel industry.

They were extremely short staffed. It took almost 30 minutes to check in, and we asked for extra towels when we did because two people before us had come down because their rooms didn't have any. Good thing we did. I reserved the partial river view, and they didn't have it. They gave me a pool view I did not want because of the noise, and he assured me it was a quiet room. Not during the day when we came back to rest before dinner. It had oud music playing through speakers and of course hte people were loud enjoying themselves. (which they should have been.. that wasn't the problem) Until a little after 1 in the morning there were kids running up and down the halls yelling. I called downstairs 4 times and could never get an answer. When we checked out in the morning, the hall floors were filthy and the elevator floor was sticky and full of trash. May be a great stay for some, but this weekend was awful.

Karl at the front desk is amazing! I have stayed here a bunch of times and he has impressed me every time. This time... he blew me away. I dropped my earbud case in the elevator and it fell down the crack between the door and the elevator shaft. He personally went in and got it for me and had it waiting at the front desk in the morning. I will for sure be staying here again!

We could not find parking because the hotel was hosting an event and did not assign parking for hotel guests only. It was raining and we drove around neighboring streets to find parking. We called the hotel and they said there was nothing they could do. After 30 minutes we got a parking spot. Check was slow because only one person was working. No manager was working! Another hotel employee was eating at the front desk. Not the level of service I expected based on the price and rating. I wouldn’t never go back.

Nice place to stay right along the south bank River walk. Close to the water taxi for the game, which was the best transportation to and from Everbank Stadium by far! Not too much else close by other than a handful of restaurants that we could find. Overall great stay though!!

the property was definitely better then the "hostile" like property we moved from however it could use some help with the mildew smell on the rug areas . maybe some FREE amenities to use like a coffee bar , (the water did not look appealing ) maybe a bowl of fruit . The area is really not convenient unless you are going to uber EVERYWHERE. We walked one night to treaty park and almost got mugged TWICE . THERE IS DEFINITELY an unsafe element. The riverwalk is beautiful to see but honestly no whete to eat or get a drink anywhere near by. Stay on the other side of the bridge ( but bad element there as well ) a lot more stores and resturants . the saturday flea market under the bridge was AWESOME .

The initial room we were given had: a stained pillow, spills on the fridge door not wiped off, fluid stains on the countertops that weren't cleaned, stained carpets, beat up, cracked and broken furniture. We requested a new room, and it was 50% better. The furniture is beat up, and the room was icky. On top, it was an extremely limited cheap breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, cereal and some 7-11 pastries. They charge $50 for 2. Ridiculous, and won't be staying there again.

Staff was great. Property was clean and well kept. Room was comfortable and clean. The only complaint I have is I paid $17 for breakfast and was told breakfast started at 7am, and that worked as I would be checking out at 8am. But when I went down for breakfast at 7 there was nothing ready and when I checked out there was still nothing. I was traveling by Greyhound so it made it tough to get a good meal. But everything else was good.

Just not much walkable for restaurants etc. just felt it was average overall. Except great menu at bar restaurant and food was good. Breakfast was pricey and no simple things like granola with fruit. $14 meal and no option really.

We were very disappointed. We booked here knowing I would be there all day while my spouse was at our daughter's baby shower. The webiste said (and still says) "Lunch" is served at both restaurants and for room service. Nope. NO food served after 11 until 4:00 p.m. There I am, no car, and no food all day (since I don't eat breakfast.) I asked front desk why there was no lunch even though it's advertised, and her reply was "ya, we just don't serve food anymore during those times. BUT there's food you can walk to down the street." I don't book there to walk down the street. THEN, the shower was SCALDING hot. No matter how I adjusted it, nothing but super hot. My wife loves hot showers, but she couldn't even use it. The first day i got no answer from room service. So I figured it was just a fluke. Next day, no enjoyable shower. Too hit. I had to "dip in" to make sure I got clean. The Pool area was also a disappointment. The chairs were ripping. No tables to put things on. No attendants asking if you need anything. No bar or snack shack for drinks. No pots with plants. And the pool "shack" was right behind the pool...making for a pretty ugly environment. The building is very dated, but ok for the city. Overall, pretty disappointed. If you have to spend the money, might want to reconsider and stay across the river.
