Springhill Suites Jacksonville

The property was clean but the pool was murky and not clear. We didn't feel comfortable getting in so that was the only downside of the trip. We were looking forward to swimming.

Pool and hot tub cold with many leaves in both.

The pool and hot tub were ice cold. No sign indicating pool closed. Asked front desk and the mgr said ‘oh we just need one part we’ve been waiting for….”. I’m going to demand partial refund…

You get the feeling that the employees here are really fighting losing battle with a property that badly needs renovated. The list of needed repairs and refurbishments at this Jacksonville Marriott location is very long. Some of the highlights are as follows. There are only two elevators at this location and one was broken for the entire length of our 3-day stay. The one working elevator would constantly get stuck on floor 2. Taking the stairs was then needed many times and sadly the stairwells were very dirty, Smelly and in disrepair. I have stayed at many spring Hill suites over the years and sadly this is the first time we have had this kind of experience at One of their locations. The toilet ran constantly and the carpet and couch were filthy in our room. The air conditioning was noisy and obviously needed repair. The hotel was sold out so we knew there was no reason to ask for another room as we overheard somebody else request a different room earlier and was denied. The staff was friendly and there is only so much I know they can do with such a badly overdue for renovation hotel. On the bright side, the breakfast was always good, well stocked and well prepared. I know they're better Springhill suites in Jacksonville as we have stayed in other locations. Will we now know to avoid this one until it gets badly needed renovations.

Pool was dirty and hot tub wasn’t working. Elevator quit working but customer service was excellent.

The property was average. The elevator was not working properly on my floor and the room itself was a bit outdated and run down compared to similar properties. Certainly not more than 3 stars or worthy of a rating above 7.5.

We were here for our anniversary. Wonderful hotel and staff. The only negative was the hot tub was not up to temp and the pool and tub were full of leaves. Not a deal breaker but....

Hot tub was not working, which was a bummer because I booked here specifically because it had a hot tub. Other than that everything was decent and clean. Staff were friendly.

Pool water was cloudy and hot tub was even worse. Front desk was very friendly and courteous. Dog barking was annoying and not dealt with properly.

The Elevator was working intermittently, would not have been an issue but we were on the 4th floor with a lot of things with us. Amazing staff and very clean location.

The rooms are very clean. The grounds are nicely kept. Staff helpful.

Hotel was slightly dingy, not as clean or kept up as other Springhill. Couch in room had stains, mattress for pull out had very bad stains (gross) and no sheets or blanket (had to go to front desk). King mattress was terrible! My first bad mattress complaint ever at a Marriott property. My husband and I sank into the middle and neither slept well.

Room smelled terrible, like dog urine.

The breakfast okay just something to put on your stomach. The room smelt like mildew and was hot had to ask for air fresheners. The sofa bed was not clean and could not use.

I wasn't thrilled with this visit this time as I've stayed at the property about a year ago during Hurricane Helene. I had 3 rooms, 2 of which had not been cleaned prior to me checking in. It looked as though housekeeping was in the middle of cleaning and stopped in one room and the other room had some type of odor near the couch. It had visible stains all over it. The front desk clerk changed the 2 rooms without any problems but the quality of the rooms were no better. The carpet needs to be changed out and there needs to be some ventilation changed or added because the rooms have a wet feel to them and smell. For the value of money spent, the stay was fair.

The first room that we received the tub and the toilet was dirty. They moved us to another room in that room. The couch looked like it had been through World War III. The bedding had stains on it, and the toilet looked like it hadn’t been clean.

Hotel over-sold the room we had selected, so we had to accept a downgrade. Hotel photos online are misleading... this hotel is much older and not as clean as photos indicate. Our room was nothing like the photos online - stains on furniture, stains on floor, dirty corners in the shower, etc. Everything in the hotel was older and dirtier than what appears on the photos. I would not stay here again... other nearby hotels are nicer.

Honestly the room had a odor possibly mold breakfast was not the greatest but if its a last minute booking trip this would definitely be suitable clean rooms may need a little renovation but in a safe area

First room had an unclean toilet with fecal matter on the toilet. Was upgraded to a "pure" room. That was nice.

Room smaller than expected and not offered an upgrade as a Gold member. Sink across from desk had hot water handle on the right and cold on the left. Showering left water outside on the floor with doors closed.

We decided to take a trip to Jacksonville when our power went out after hurricane Debby. We booked this hotel because it offed a suite and wasn't too expensive. Our room was ok. The room was spacious for our family of four. The bed was comfortable. The couch in the room was terrible. It sank in the middle and cushions were torn. Also the room smelled musky. We could never get the temperature right. It was either freezing or hot. The outdoor pool was ok. The pool and the hot tub were in bad need of some TLC. The water was murky and paint was chipping all around the edges of the pool. Breakfast was ok. The breakfast room was crowded and hard to move around with lots of people there. There wasn't a lot of places to sit as a family. Overall it was an ok stay for one night but not a hotel I would be ready to say in again.

Hotel is outdated, old carpet, strong smell… rooms look bigger in the picture. When you actually go in it’s pretty small, the carpet MUST GO! It’s stinky and honestly in 2024 at the price we payed, we should not have to walk on carpets. Sofa bed looked old, we were 5 we needed to open the sofa bed but instead we squeezed in 2 beds. Disappointing….

Room is clean and smells good. Staffs are friendly and nice. View is town view. Breakfast is good enough for starting a day. TV is big.

Lots of noise from a club across the street but otherwise fine. The place could use some updating and maintenance but for the price was good. It was clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good.

Everything was great except the pullout sofa-bed. It wasn't really comfortable. The location was perfect. It is close to everything. Restaurants, Costco, Walmart, shopping, the city, etc. The staff and service was very friendly and helpful. Overall we enjoyed the stay.

The staff was great and friendly. The hotel is clean but old and not appealing as far as furnishings in the room; worn out rug, awful couch and the bed wasn’t comfortable

Overall it was a great stay.. Asked for extra towels and washcloths at check in and from housekeeping never received them.. Air Condition was no match with the Florida heat so room was a little warmer than usual

The front desk staff was friendly, prompt, and helpful. When I apologized for forgetting my key, the evening clerk said “That’s what I’ll here for”. Andy day clerk was extremely hospitable to me and other guests in the lobby. Highly recommend this property.

Had great service from the front desk, had a room with no hot water, they moved our tiom while we were out for the day, to a room with a better shower. Very nice man at the desk.

The property is in a great location. It's near restaurants and shopping. I stayed there because I was having eye surgery and the hotel is near my appointment. I had an emergency and needed to check in early and Nicole was very accommodating. She took my medical condition into consideration and checked me in early so that I could recover from my procedure. She offered to assist me with any necessities. She was very professional, accommodating, empathetic and showed genuine concern for my situation. I greatly appreciated her kindness and willingness to assist me. Her customer service skills are impeccable and she's great at assessing the customers need and providing the assistance that is needed. The hotel was pretty clean it just has a distinct smell and the sofa bed in the room should be replaced because its old and very uncomfortable to sit on. Only one elevator was operational. The breakfast was sufficient and plentiful. The staff was very polite and willing to assist.

Hotel had amazing service and wonderful staff.

The breakfast staff were so rude. We waited 20mins for food and coffee to be set out and they were wo rude to paying guests. My first room smelled like a sweaty gym locker and when I asked to move to another room, the second one smelled like urine.

Manager was rude. Checkin staff were perfunctory and haughty. Bathroom sink drain was broken and disconnected from plumbing pipes - they gave us a bucket to put under the sink to capture the water and offered to comp the rooms $25 service fee (since when did one pay for this charge?). Hotel was full so no other rooms. We ended up getting a refund and drove 40 miles at 9pm to the best next thing we could find (due to Spring break) after 7hours of driving. At best a dump.

Staff makes the stay wonderful. They went above and beyond for me and my family not ONCE but twice. My sister passed away and I had to travel with my family of 6 from Texas to during a very troublesome time. The staff was soooo friendly, genuine and accommodating. I recommended this hotel 2 my other family members.

The location was perfect for my stay. What i liked most was the walkability in and around the hotel. From Movies, dining to bars, it was excellent.

Stay at this hotel for the second time ,we came to USCIS office ,it’s only 6 minutes away from the hotel .Restaurants around and walking area.Hotel is nice and clean ,breakfast is ok .Sleeper sofa needs more attention ,mattress was not good at all ,but overall nice room .

Good location

Nice hotel, quick check in, close to shopping and restaurants. Some restaurants within walking distance. Comfortable bed, nice size room, tv was mounted in the middle of room so was a little hard to watch lying in bed even with it swiveled.

Everything was great. The breakfast could be a little better. I was disappointed you didn't have a waffle maker.

The breakfast was not so good sausage was over cooked. Bananas we're all green not even ripe . As far as housekeeping they never change our bedding cleaning was every other day . We had to use our towels twice in a row. No coffee cups in the room. I thought for the price of the room I could have got better service in another hotel. Front staff lobby were very sweet very kind.
