We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It is a small property with only 9 rooms, but you really can have as much or as little contact with other guests as you want. It was great to see staff multiple days and get an individualized experience. They provided great recommendations to us and we had a great experience in Quebec City because of those recommendations. The hotel is newly updated and beautiful. There are many rooms throughout you can relax in, read a book, have a snack. Parking: There is a parking lot associated with the hotel only a short walk away ($25 a day, very worth it) Accessibility: This is the only downside of this property. There are many stairs, including probably about 6 from the street up to the lobby. There is no elevator on property. There is a luggage elevator so you do not have to take your luggage up and down, but there is no passenger elevator. No keys for rooms, it is all codes for doors throughout the hotel. It is up to the guests to make sure they lock the door to the hotel at night after the staff leaves. They do give you a 24/7 phone number that we did need to use once, but they picked up right away and addressed our issue.

This is a trendy, well-decorated, lovely boutique hotel. The location is just 2 blocks from the River. The only negative is the steps to enter are steep, and there is not an elevator for humans - just luggage. The hostess Paule was very relaxed, welcoming and helpful.

We had a great experience at Cap Diamant. The location was perfect, we could walk everywhere. We went to Quebec to visit the Christmas Market… so close to great restaurants, and shopping. There is convenient parking for $30 per day. The warm croissants at breakfast were so good. Staff was helpful and friendly. Highly recommend ❤️

This hotel had made my stay in Quebec city amazing. The hotel is quaint and is within the old Quebec area. Very close to the tourist area but just located outside in an area that is quiet. The hotel only has 9 rooms so it's very intimate and feels very homey, and breakfast is included. Staff are very friendly and helpful and they do accomodate parking but you need to pay a daily fee, it was $30 a day. It's very close to the hotel and private. The bathroom and sink was on the small side but contemporary and well made.

Beautiful boutique hotel in Old City. The employees were super kind and helpful. Had a hidden elevator in the ceiling (like a dumb waiter) to get luggage to your floor. Breakfast was fruit, cheeses, meat and warm croissant.

Excellent boutique hotel. Bathrooms are small but expected in a historical house/hotel. Wonderful continental breakfast and amenities. Can control the temp in room which is wonderful. Also neat sitting/working rooms on the first and second floor and access to by the glass wine at any time. Wonderful stay for our anniversary!

We had a lovely time at this hotel. Such a unique and luxurious property. The room was very clean and well-equipped. As other reviews have mentioned, the only down side is that the bathroom is small, but it didn't bother me too much. We spent time in the little lobby areas, as they were so cozy and warm. The small breakfast offered was absolutely delicious, and they have an amazing coffee machine. Service was also incredible. I'm excited to stay here again in the future.

Honestly, the loveliest little hotel—more along the lines of a bed & breakfast! The entire place was spotless, the staff was beyond friendly and attentive, there were amazing little extras that many places wouldn’t have even thought of, and the location was perfect!

The hotel is cozy and beautifully restored. Breakfast in the mornjng is light but a perfect start to the day. The staff is warm and welcoming. The location is perfect for walking to dinner or attractions. The bathroom is small, as other travelers noted. The vent in the bathroom ceiling was completely covered in dust. It must be noted there is an active construction site across the street and work starts at 7:00 am. The noise made it difficult to sleep in. Despite these few complaints, it is still a beautiful property in a great location.

The front desk staff and those who served the breakfast were great. The maid service left a lot to be desired because we had to ask for toilet paper twice and it was strange how the room was cleaned. One time the bed was made but the dirty towels were not picked up and another time the bed was not made and the towels were changed. Also, if you have problems with stairs you cannot stay here. The location is perfect, the hotel is beautiful and we felt very safe there.

Check in was easy but I didn’t know that I would have to walk down and up 2 flights of stairs. They’re short flights so it’s not that bad but my bags were heavy so I wasn’t happy about it. The elevator is slow and smells musty. My room size is fine but I don’t like that it’s hard tile floor and only one small rug under the bed. No slippers and no water provided but there’s an espresso maker. The bed is fine. The room was a little musty so I increased the fan to get more air and also warm up the room. I set the thermostat to 24 it’s still 22 after 1 hour. I don’t know. The building is in a very convenient location with lots of restaurants and cafes and shops nearby. I think it’s fine if that’s what the most important points for picking a hotel. I wish the room carpet or rugs so it wouldn’t feel so cold.

Rooms had firm but very comfortable beds! The service was exceptional! Oliver was so thoughtful and welcoming! Restaurant options were many, and all within 15 min walk. Close to Old Town and Chateau. Highly recommend!!

The property is in a convenient location, a 5 minute walk to the Chateau Frontenac. The staff was exceedingly helpful with anything that you needed help with and very cordial. The room itself was very comfortable with a bathroom that had a large shower but very smsll sink. There was an additional sink in the bedroom itself with space for a coffeemaker. The continental breakfast is served in a room where you overlook the back courtyard and brought back memoies of visits to France with servings of croissants, cheese and cold cuts. Absolutely delicious. We stayed 4 nights and would certainly book again on our next visit.

This is a lovely property within the walled city. Beware of the steep stairs going into the main building (and steep stairway up) but beyond that, the location was excellent. Each room is slightly different. One thing to be aware of is the tiny bathroom sink. The shower is plenty large but I’ve never seen such a small sink. The complimentary snacks (cookies, gummy bears, candy and nuts) were very much appreciated and it was so nice to have a Nespresso machine. The breakfast was continental and very nice; they had gf toast for me, which was an unexpected bonus. The bed was comfortable and I didn’t hear noise from outside. I would gladly stay here again as it was a nice walking distance from the main part of town.

Wonderful property however our room in the attic was exceptionally hot we even slept with the window open each night. The design is stunning but the bathroom doors in our room and our friends are sliding doors that DO NOT COVER the entire door- making using the bathroom not so fun especially if you are sharing . We had to both stand in the hall if we went to the bathroom . Couples should be aware of this .

The pros; very conveniently located. A very short distance to the Château Frontenac and restaurants, etc. Olivier is a wonderful staff member and was very welcoming and efficient . The windows of the rooms open so you could get a breeze and the air conditioning worked wonderfully. The beds were very comfortable And housekeeping was appreciated every single day. More than sufficient supplies of towels and soaps, lotions, etc. A few free items in the refrigerated drawer, which was nice in a pinch. The cons were that although this is a historic property, it has been fully modernized in the interior in a rather dark modern concept. In fact, the interior design refers to itself as a hotel concept. There are advertising items for the lamps, pillows, etc. The original character of the hotel is gone. There are no Antiques. Some of the stone walls have been covered up. So if you’re looking at the older reviews, this new hotel interior is completely different. There are mobility/disability issues in that the entry stairs, as with many historic properties are extremely steep. In addition, the interior stairs are remarkably steep. There is only one room on the first floor room number 9 and the rest all required the climbing of the stairs, which take some care to negotiate. There is a Luggage elevator, but no elevator for actual people. The rooms have been redone with laminated modular units, which are unique, but form did not follow function in this location.

Great staff. Excellent, attentive service with a tasty breakfast. Modernized, spacious rooms. Bathrooms were very nice but a tad small. -The remodel would simply not allow any changes in space here however. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

The room was very tiny, the bathroom sink was so small it’s was almost unusable, the bathroom door did not close properly so there was a lack of privacy. Coffee and creamer was provided which was nice and the hotel and area felt safe.

My husband and I just had a lovely stay a Hotel Cap Diamant. This is a quaint old style hotel. Makes you feel like you’re in Europe. The room as comfortable, the staff was very kind and helpful (Marie-Eve is such a sweetheart!), and it was conveniently located in Old Quebec. It was nice to have a healthy morning bite to eat. The many choices of beverage options was great. If stairs are a concern than this is not the choice for you. Otherwise we highly recommend this hotel.

The staff was excellent. Being a techno-dinosaur and feeling under the weather, the staff were able to order food brought in as I was unable to go out. They went out of their way to be helpful.

Hotel Cap Diamant was a delight. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Beautifully restored building. Every detail taken into consideration. Furniture, linens and glasswear were just lovely. Breakfast room overlooks a beautiful walled garden. Located very close to heart of Old Quebec City. There are stairs to enter the building and all but one room require more stairs. We will stay here again!

I booked this hotel given all the 10 ratings and I would give it a 10 for the first night. We stayed 5 nights and the shine wore off. I recommend a one or maximum two night stay to enjoy the hotel. Beyond that you will get frustrated with having to ask for basics like the coffee and beverage bar to be refilled. Or requests not fulfilled - for example, I asked for a ground floor room (max one flight of stairs) and we were placed on the 3rd floor: 3 flights of stairs multiple times a day became increasingly challenging for me. The staff is lovely (esp Mary Eve) and clearly trying their best but not on par with service for a high end boutique hotel.

The property is in a convenient location, a 5 minute walk to the Chateau Frontenac. The staff was exceedingly helpful with anything that you needed help with and very cordial. The room itself was very comfortable with a bathroom that had a large shower but very smsll sink. There was an additional sink in the bedroom itself with space for a coffeemaker. The continental breakfast is served in a room where you overlook the back courtyard and brought back memoies of visits to France with servings of croissants, cheese and cold cuts. Absolutely delicious. We stayed 4 nights and would certainly book again on our next visit.

We had a great experience at Cap Diamant. The location was perfect, we could walk everywhere. We went to Quebec to visit the Christmas Market… so close to great restaurants, and shopping. There is convenient parking for $30 per day. The warm croissants at breakfast were so good. Staff was helpful and friendly. Highly recommend ❤️

Honestly, the loveliest little hotel—more along the lines of a bed & breakfast! The entire place was spotless, the staff was beyond friendly and attentive, there were amazing little extras that many places wouldn’t have even thought of, and the location was perfect!

Very nice experience. Room was clean and spacious, shower had abundant hot water, and a nice rainshower/wand combo. The continental breakfast was fresh and delicious. The only downside, is getting up the front stairs. I would not have booked this hotel, had I known how steep the stairs were, because of my bad knees. Other than that, we loved staying there!

The hotel is in a nice location, easy walking into Old Quebec. Very quiet in hotel. Almost felt the need to whisper 😂. The room was very clean. Only complaint is one of reasons we booked was it said breakfast included. The “breakfast” was a croissant and fruit cup. So, would have been nice to know in description when booking.

We had a lovely time at this hotel. Such a unique and luxurious property. The room was very clean and well-equipped. As other reviews have mentioned, the only down side is that the bathroom is small, but it didn't bother me too much. We spent time in the little lobby areas, as they were so cozy and warm. The small breakfast offered was absolutely delicious, and they have an amazing coffee machine. Service was also incredible. I'm excited to stay here again in the future.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff was helpful and courteous. The Breakfast was very adequate. The room was very comfortable. The Bathroom well stocked, but pretty small. The only real drawback was steep stairs with no elevator. We are older, but healthy travelers and were able to easily negotiate the stairs. Not a spot for travelers with mobility issues.

I wish I could give it a higher rating but a couple of things would prevent me from staying here again. One, the size of the bathroom- specifically the sink. Minuscule does not describe it. It was maybe 7 or 8 inches on the short side. Impossible to wash your face and the fact that they placed a self right above it meant spitting toothpaste on yourself daily. It was truly ridiculous. Two, the walls are paper thin. I get it, this is a romantic destination but hearing your neighbors going at it at all times of day was not so classy - felt more like a no-tell-motel. Three, although daily breakfast is nice, a little variety would have been nice. Literally the same exact breakfast 3 days in a row. Four, staff didn’t make up the room 2 out of 3 days. The location is good but I will stay elsewhere next time I visit.
