Red Carpet Inn - Louisville

You had to navigate a minefield of potholes to get there, but the person at the front desk was surprisingly friendly and helpful--very refreshing. The room was clean, the bed a bit hard.

There was no fridge in the room and the driveway to the motel is nothing but a ton of deep pot holes so watch ur tires!

It's not a bad place to stay. It's reasonably quiet and the internet works good. Helpful hint. Get a room away from the steps to the second floor. They are metal and that's where the most noise will be. I can walk up the steps with almost no noise. Some people sound like a herd of elephants coming up the stairs.

The bed sheets and pillows were clean which was nice. Location was convenient, security cameras reinforced a sense of safety. The nighttime was quiet and peaceful. Hole in curtains covering windows to outside. Curtain open close rope not working hanging out of track. Entry Door dirty - filthy inside and out. Stench of smoke old musty smell with hint of marijuana in room, could not be aired out. Dirty sink bathroom, stains around bathtub moisture or mildew with discoloration. Overnight stay caused me to cough and produce unusual amount of phlegm for about 6 hours after leaving the room. Door to bathroom could not be closed , door seemed sagged or skewed or the door frame tilted or shifted - to the point where the door could not be closed leaving 3 inch open gap. Everything looked like it was falling apart. Walls had indications of mold on ceiling. We chose to drive back that night instead of sleeping overnight - and then traveling in the morning, rather than sleeping again in that room - even though we paid for two (2) more nights. Even though I signed on a non refundable agreement - there was a verbal component regarding early check out from one manager and promised refund - general manager would not authorize and honor that verbal promise. Concrete walkway with major chips exposing 6 inches of rebar , rebar showing. Internet cut out every 15 minutes -almost like clockwork - without warning or so, so lot of cell data was consumed adding to the expense. Not recommended.

Pot holes across the entire entrance driveway and no fridge in the room.

The room provided a place to stay is all I can say. Noise level was intermediate. The room smelled of old smoke although it seems that currently smoking is not permitted in the rooms. There was a gap under the front door that left me worried about security and caused the AC to kick on more often than should have been needed. The carpet felt dirty underfoot and there was a sticky patch in the bathroom in front of the toilet that I wasn't willing to investigate more than taking note of it. The room stayed at a decent temperature and the bed seemed clean but the smoke scent and floor cleanliness left much to be desired.

This place is filthy. I was afraid to walk in the room without shoes. I was nervous walking to and from my car and wasn't sure the door was secure even when locked.

Room was very dirty the walls were horrible the tub was clean the bed was clean but the walls were very dirty like somebody had thrown something on them there was mold in the room I stayed because I just needed a place to sleep for a few hours cheap place but Lord did I pay for what I got

The motel was absolutely disgusting and covered in cockroaches. And when we checked because we refused to stay we were denied a refund

They rent this hotel out weekly and as soon as I looked at the room and the very shady guest that I felt unsafe staying there I immediately asked for my refund. I would’ve rather slept in my car

Parking was safe enough. Room smelled moldy. Tv didnt work. No phone in the room. Dirty carpet, a roach was in the toliet upon getting there. They had a broken card machine so had to be manually let into our room which included breaking into the room thru a hole in the door. With their finger. Therein felt unsafe throughout the night knowing that the door could kust be opened with your finger anytime..... wourl not recommended this hotel

The service at this hotel was quite awful. Our room was infested with bedbugs, and I was bit at me my fiancé and his son I had to go to the hospital. Due to the multiple bite sites on our bodies

I have never been to a place that was dirty, unsafe, unsanitary. The toilet did not flush properly. The carpet were stain I never took my shoes off. There was mold in the bathroom on the shower and the bathroom door. There were holes on the bathroom wall. The little spot were the vanity was the light did not work. There was only one towel I’m the bathroom and I asked for another towel and was told they did not have any and gave me three hand towels. The metal stairs to the second floor had hole through it that was a hazard if someone’s foot went through it. Red Carpet Inn. That I paid &120 for a deplorable room is a disgrace. I took pictures of the room to prove my situation. I want a refund.

Filthy. Room smelled of cigarette smoke we had to wash everything in our suitcases when e got home. Pillow smelled so bad I couldn’t ye it. Tv had to remotes but batteries dead in both of them. We only got the intro channel. Don’t stay here.

Only way to turn off the TV what's to pull the plug only way to adjust the volume was manually on a hidden button on the TV. Air conditioner barely was functional. Peeling paint in the bathroom. Steps structure going to the second floor all well as concrete walkway crumbling appeared structurally unsafe. Multiple permanent residents coming and going 24 hours a day loud music being played was able to get about four and a half hours of sleep. I would not recommend this place for a peaceful night stay.

The bed was the worst had huge sag in the center that could not be gotten around. Under construction and the water was so hot you could not bathe. Franchise hotel so nobody gave a crap about the condition or the complaints

I had to change rooms because the TV was not working. My parents had to change rooms because the heat was not working. They had trouble with the TV because it was only showing movie channels and not network channels.

It wasnt clean at all and there wasn't a lock on the door

Ot was very quiet

My room smelled like cigarette smoke when I asked for a no smoking room. Everything was run down and there were all sorts of burn marks and stains on the carpets. The internet had a password that was not provided even though they advertised free internet.

The office was locked and no one was around to help us check in. No one answered the phone when we called. We could hear it ringing inside. After 30 minutes sitting in the driveway in front of the office, someone did arrive to help us. The room was extremely smelly. I would never stay here again, nor recommend this place. I would be embarrased as an owner of this place. The lady at the front office was very nice and was eager to help us once she arrived.

The hotel said that we did not pay for the 9th and the 10th and that we did not have payment completed through you all. They kept trying to get us to pay for the room again through them but I told them that's not right cause that's why Experian takes care of that. They told us on the 10th that because we had not paid them for the rooms again that we had to leave or they would call the law. Me and my husband where put out in the cold AFTER WE HAD RESERVED AND THE RECIPTS EVEN SHOW PAYMENT IS PAID AND COMPLETED TO THE PROPERY. They still even shown that they made us leave for a room I had paid. Please help me in fixing and crediting my account. Many Thanks Mary (Becky);Dick 5028049768

The room was clean. Staff was friendly and nice. The ones doing the daily cleaning, always knocked on my door to see if i needed anything. Overall the 10 days i was here was a very pleasant stay. Brenda was my favorite housekeeper.

The staff was rude as can be

When arrived, there was noone at the counter and i waited 15 minutes before a maintenance man came in and called for the guy in the back. About 10 minutes later, the guy came up, kept answering the phone and repeatedly asking me who i booked my room through. After going through this game of him asking for my id, asking who i booked my room through, and him answering the phone, i was told that there wasnt a clean room for me and I had to wait an additional 20 minutes before he came up to say they had a room now, and we repeated the cycle of asking who i booked my room through and for my id. I showed up at 2:15 and check in started at 2. Do not reccomend.

Reminds me of the older hotels. Clean and super nice staff.

The hotel is off the road aways. It has a lot of questionable people hanging around. We did not feel safe at all. The rooms are very old and poorly kept. We left and stayed elsewhere when 3 police cars arrived. The place just felt so unsafe.

Very easy access to expressway

The Inn is close to the expressway and easy to get to. There are also many nearby stores for shopping.

It is off the main road and tucked away with trees surrounding

My stay at Red Carpet Inn was pleasant, peaceful for the most part and i was able to get the rest i needed. Not a bad place compared to some of the other motels i have been too.

We had neighbors playing loud music and smoking pot and guys cutting an air conditioner apart with a power saw out in the parking lot just outside our room. People wandering around looking suspicious.

Clientele was scary. There was a dead body being taken out of a room. We did not stay for the next two nights because it was scary. I asked for a refund and they denied me. Two other things:. We were given a room that was already filled. And the second room, we couldn't get in because the lock was broken. I've NEVER had such a horrible, scary hotel stay, and I won't go to Red Carpet again I wont recommend this hotel, nor Expedia if you can't get me my refund back.

Nice, basic room for the price. Pet friendly. Asked for extra pillows as they were very skimpy, but received them quickly. No breakfast, but coffee available.
