There was an influx of moths and spiders in the room, the window was left open so had to remove a lot. The room was clean but somewhat dated. We used the pool and this was cold and the smaller kids pool was half full so couldn’t be used. The staff were amazing though and very helpful.

We upgraded to the superior room (4 poster bed) but it wasn't worth it. The room itself was fine but lacked care and attention in the finishing touches expected ( robes, slippers, tea/coffee, biscuits etc.) and the bathroom had a few issues (e.g missing toilet roll holder, dirty sink plug, empty tissue holder). The spa was okay but steam room out of use. Dining options are very limited (only 4 choices for main course) and whilst the food was okay the service was slow. Breakfast wasn't great quality with most of the options overcooked. It wasn't a bad stay but it wasnt great value for money. Some parts of the hotel are really nice and there is potential but the 4 star rating seems misleading and I'm not sure we'd rush back.

Really liked this hotel. It’s a little out of the way but really pleasant and the facilities are great.
