The hotel is in a fantastic location in Bayeux. It is very close and easy walking distance to all the sites in Bayeux. Bayeux itself is in easy driving distance to all the Normandy D-Day locations. The staff could not have been friendlier. It's not a fancy hotel, but for the price the rooms were clean and comfortable and had a good European breakfast. Our only negative was we could hear the water flowing down pipe from the upstairs rooms. If you need parking, make sure to book with your reservation as they only have about 5 spaces on site. Don't expect a space to be available if you do not pre-book.

This hotel is very well located, close to all the amenities of Bayeux. Parking is not as advertised. Had to find a free lot nearby and also street parking. But the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable but in need of updating. The family room had a bunk bed and a queen bed which was perfect for what we needed. All in all, we had a blast.

This is our second stay with this hotel. We chose this hotel because it located close the train station, close to restaurants and shopping, and close the pick up point for Overlord tours. The employees are friendly and helpful. It is also close to museums. There is no elevator to the second floor. We love to hear the Nearby Cathedral bells in the morning and at night.

Property is conveniently located right around the corner from the Cathedral. Main area for shopping and restaurants one block further. Staff (particularly Sophie) were very helpful. Hotel itself was clean but the rooms were dated and small. No elevator to second floor. Bedding, etc were fine. No face washcloths. Street parking is hit and miss but public lots around the corner.

Not luxury but if you need a comfortable bed, a hot shower and tasty breakfast this is an ideal base to explore Bayeux and the surrounding area. Has on site parking available for €16 per night and is only a few minutes walk from all the lovely restaurants in Bayeux. The staff are lovely also.

This hotel is very convenient to the historical area. It is very walkable. The staff are extremely nice and helpful. They helped us, and several other guests, with translating things. The breakfast is good. The building is very old, as are all buildings in Bayeux, but is in bad need of some love. The room is damp feeling. There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom so nothing dries out. We noticed some mold due to this. We think this caused our son to get sick. We love Bayeux, this was our third visit, but won’t stay in this hotel again.

The flooring in the room (wood vinyl plank) was not clean. Dust and long-standing grime on the plank flooring were evident. In two places, there was dry, moldy dirt that I could not clean off. The same was true in the bathroom, where the flooring adjacent to the shower exit had dried-on mold at the base of the shower exit. Beyond this concern, our stay at Hotel LeBayeux was pleasant. The breakfast service in the dining room was nicely presented, and the hotel staff was responsive to our requests for ordering a cab and providing area directions to attractions.

Great location and an old building. Made it very loud inside. You could hear everyone walking and the HVAC. My sheets were dirty. The bathroom had a handheld shower only and the fixture was only waist high. To shower you had to hold it with one hand over your head. The people were lovely and location is terrific but I wouldn’t recommend it.

Spacious room with working air conditioning, clean and updated bathroom, looks like the hotel has been recently upgraded. The location is perfect, adjacent to the Cathedral, walking distance to all the shops, museums and restaurants. Breakfast was complimentary and it offered large varieties of food.

Great location in such a beautiful town. The staff was tremendous as well. However, we had ongoing issues with the internet. Access was very spotty and even some of the staff said they were having issues. In addition, the heating and air conditioner could not be adjusted inside our room. We had to talk with the front desk to make temperature and fan adjustments from a facility controlled panel in the lobby area which seemed peculiar. Again, some staff members seemed to make it work and others didn’t. A couple other items, when taking a shower, there was no soap in the dispenser and no Kleenex. Both items were resolved during our stay. A simple lack of attention to detail. A nice breakfast buffet was included. Again, the staff was great in trying to assist us with the problems we encountered but overall the issues we had left us frustrated.

We referred to this place as “the youth hostel.” 1. Lumpy uneven beds pushed together to make one bed. 2. Paper thin walls. We could hear everything our neighbors said. 3. Plugged shower drain. We complain Ed to the front desk twice and it did not get fixed. Nothing like standing in water to dry your hair! 4. Missing battery cover for remote. 5. The distance between the bed and the wall was 12 inches. We laughed on how we had to shuffle with our back to the wall to get from one side of the room to the other. 6. Air conditioning took forever to cool down the room. We were on the first floor and could not leave our window open at night. 7. We reserved the room 9 months in advance and requested a parking spot. When we showed up we had to park on the street if we could find a spot. We would not recommend or stay here again.

Great new owners Sandrine and Bruno. These two were super helpful with advice and directions to the entire area. The rooms are clean. Remember, the building is super old like so many other buildings in Bayeux so you must have some perspective. Sandrine and Bruno treated us like family. They are doing a 3 month renovation this winter so this will make the hotel even better in the future.

I booked and paid for the hotel through Hotels.com. Upon check in the front desk also charged my credit card tfor the full amount. Therefore making a double charge. The hotel staff conversed with Hotels.com personnel and there seemed to be no way to cancel one of the charges from either end. The hotel is working on a bank transfer but the funds have not made it to my account. So far I am out of 1700 Euro. This ruined the entire trip and I wish there was a way that a hotel and hotel.com could agree a mistake was made and reimburse the customer. That said I will never use hotel.com again or stay at that hotel.

The staff were incredible! Due to the strikes our train to Paris was cancelled, then staff worked with me to figure out new plans. The location of the hotel was perfect- easy walk to restaurants, pick up for Normandy tours, the tapestry museum, and Cathedral. Additionally, as a family of 5 (3 kids) the room was perfect! This hotel was a great spot to explore Bayeux! The room was small, but cozy, and was very walkable to the town. We also enjoyed the breakfast, it was tasty and convenient. Unfortunately, we had a poor experience when leaving the hotel. We asked the receptionist to order a cab to the Caen airport early in the morning, which they did - but then they finished their shift and left. The cab didn't show up, and there was no replacement receptionist to follow up on our request (supposed to be 24 hr staff on site). It was a stressful situation, as we were afraid to miss our flight, but thankfully we figured it out on our own.

An old Normandy Inn so there's some character to the building. Staff was very friendly. We needed an early train so they made sure breakfast was available 45 minutes before normal time. Breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m. normally and is your typical European breakfast buffet. Rooms are small but met our need.

The hotel staff made you feel at home and went out of the way to provide a great experience for us. On our last night we had to leave to catch a ferry before breakfast was scheduled to start and when the staff heard this without us asking us they arrange for a to go bag of food and coffee. When we came down the next morning we came to catch our cab. We had a nice breakfast for our long day trip. The stay was wonderful.

We were the only people staying here for the evening and the family made us feel very welcome! The room was clean and tidy with ample space for our family of 4. Clean towels and a bonus heated radiator! The gentleman got up in the morning to make a lovely breakfast for us with lots of choices. The owners were extremely hospitable and kind. They gave us maps and directions to get around. You can tell they put a lot of heart into what they do and give you a personal experience. They also do a really nice breakfast of fresh baking and your traditional bacon and eggs.

Overall, the hotel was great for the price point. It was a little tired but very adequate. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful although we did get some misinformation on parking. The only disappointment was the breakfast. We showed up toward the end of the breakfast window and there was no hot food left. It made for a very expensive coffee and croissant. Walking distance to lots of restaurants, tapestry museum, etc.
