Great people and super fun time

Rosa delle Alpi is an exquisite boutique hotel with large and spacious rooms and only 12 rooms on a very large natural oversized acreage with the most incredible staff. they also have the best chefs and incredible meals for dinner at below market pricing. when we arrived late at the Varenna train station in a pouring rain storm. One of the managers came personally to pick us up because no uber, no taxis. it’s about half hour trip to the Hotel. the property is exquisite with wood and stone construction. The restaurant which is also open to the local public is worth double the price. a small but excellent wine cellar was another excellent surprise. we are already planning on returning next year for a much longer stay. a trip that included Frankfurt, Zurich, St. Moritz and Lego di Como gave us the best for last. We were so sorry to leave. loved the place and the management and staff. they even took us down to take the ferries to explore other towns including Bellagio. a Jewel . My wife feels the same. we came for two days and wanted to stay two weeks. rare and don’t want to say too much because we want to book it next season and have room available. 5 stars. thank you . the view is fantastic. and a heated large pool. with future plans for a spa next year. Bravo!!!

Our one night stay at the hotel was easily our favorite night of our two week trip. The room was absolutely stunning, everything was clean and every little detail of the room lay out, the dinner menu at the hotel restaurant, and the staff met every expectation and beyond. We had trouble getting a taxi to and from the hotel because we happened to be there on May 1st, and the staff at the front desk spent a lot of time and effort calling taxis for us so we didn’t miss our flight back home. Every staff member was incredibly kind and pleasant to interact with. I’m honestly sad we didn’t stay there longer. Thank you!!

Très belle grande chambre d'une propreté parfaite donnant sur un grand beau parc avec de très beaux arbres. Grande salle de bain mais avec séchoir à cheveux mal positionné. Excellente literie. Piscine un peu fraiche! Personnel agréable et sympathique. Petit déjeuner succin avec choix réduit. Bon restaurant agréable. Parking dans le parc. Point délicat: route d'accès (9km) très sinueuse et étroite, il faut juste savoir conduire en montagne! mais elle permet un accès rapide à Varenna puis au lac de Come.
